Dear Croisette7, still my "musée du louvre" with so incredibly many beautiful scarves and shawls, I am so happy to be your twin and you tied Ex Libris so beautifully, thank you for this lovely inspiration, yet again. It looks so beautiful on you.
(IMO would really do wish this beautiful CW would be available as a 140, too...).

Last day in NYC on this trip. I packed only three scarves, have already shown two, and coincidentally the third is also on theme! Whether they are dragons or snakes, Nothing But a Dreamer absolutely has some scaly serpent-like creatures!

Grateful to @momasaurus for the inspiration/enablement on this cw!
You always look so stylish and elegant with your scarves!

Good morning! @FizzyWater asked for scarves that remind us of musical experiences and just by coincidence my new Philateliste du Faubourg did just that! There is not a snake to be found on any stamp but there are musical instruments and an old gramophone. That reminded me of a childhood spent listening to actual records on a turntable in our living room-- beautiful multi-disc operas with libretti and photos, intriguing jazz albums and a classical library of Deutsche Grammophon and Phillips and other memorable recordings...

So pretty on you, dear GloWWorM 😍
Thank you, dear @Helena7.
Thank you on both counts, @GloWW0rM! Potion ingredients galore on this beautiful shawl +your dazzling smile=charm 🍀
Thank you! :flowers: I needed the bright pops of colour in the scarf today. I’m ready for warmer weather, now.

Ahhhhh! I’ve been waiting to see this one as it’s the only one that could work for me from the very pale offerings of this design. It’s beautiful :hbeat:
And my actual SOTD (Orphee, again!) for my trip home does have a snake!

So elegant and cool with your horn necklace. Safe travels!

Lovely grays!
I like how you’ve tied it too!

Oooo these colors are amazing!

Two fun scarves! I didn’t realize the song names were scarf names - so cool!

So beautiful twin!
I’m sorry you’re under the weather and having sciatica! :crybaby:

Such a great design, and these colors a great!

I love this blue cw @Winiebean -- the black cat prints on this are really great!

This Pavement is just stunning @Croisette7! (and thank you-- I linked two tiny leather rings together to fit the cashmere 100!)

I love this beautiful dip-dye @violetkool.

Thank you for sharing your lovely red silks @Karenska and I was wondering how you were going to manage the snake theme! You can keep on charming us with non-visual snake-adjacent poems and so on and I will look forward to that!

You always say this design has everything under the sun! True dat @Teaforparrots!

Somehow this vain little snake seems more silly than scary @Cookiefiend! Glad to know she's there...

Beautiful and wintery @Agrume!

This is such a pretty cw-- I should have thought of this one too! Thank you for pointing it out @Redbirdhermes!

Thank you @Lady_P. What a lovely comment. Yes, it is exactly that one. Just a loose bias fold looped around with tails pulled through the cute new ring!

I hope you are fully recovered soon @FizzyWater! I love the men's 100 format also. Both of these are wonderful. Now I have another avenue into the theme to ponder! Hmm. Past musical experiences...

Thank you @HermesEchidna! I know you love your blue cw!

Gorgeous! You and @Cookiefiend inspired me to add this cw @Jereni. I am very sorry you are under the weather and back pain is a misery. I hope it all passes soon... :hugs: (and thank you for your nice remarks!)

Great cw of a great design @Awillow!

It's really a fun scarf, Cookie!

Perfect with your sweater, Agrume!

Very pretty, Redbird!

Orphee looks so good on you, Jereni!

Oh, wonderful colours, sister! You wear brights so well, Awillow!

Thank you so much, Maedi!

Perfection with Aspinal!

Many thanks, dear LKB!

Two amazing looks and the scarf just makes them perfection! On my way to get the scarf ring today haha.

What a beautiful cw for this spectacular design.

Such a cute outfit. This scarf will never get old.

I think I say this every time you wear this — I love this colour!

What a charming design - I don’t think I’ve seen it before. Thanks for sharing and hosting!

Oh my, you’re so brave. I saw them in Morocco and shirked away before they should sling a snake on me!

Gasp - this has me shuddering, and not in delight! I’m scared not only of snakes but worms, and a snake is a monstrous worm. Terrifying! Now your scarf is much, much more appealing!

Love it. I’ve not seen this cw too much.

Definitely. I am desperately trying to avoid its charms as I don’t need another CSGM just now.

I love this happy cw!!

Wow - this is on my list after seeing @Awillow’s blue cw but the hem on this makes is wonderful too.

I love this moody cw!

I’ll never get tired of seeing Pavements.

Such a comfort scarf. It must be boiling in your office.

Beautiful, @Karenska.

Haha this is adorable. I’ll look for this detail on mine.

Stunning, twin!

Such a happy scarf. The pink giraffe is epic.

What a shame that it isn’t cold enough for skating on the canals. This is one of the most beautiful winter-themed scarves.

This is smashing on you!
Thank you, dear Cookie, LKBNOLA, Croisette and GloWW0rm!

And yes, the whole country is being disappointed almost every year as it is no longer cold enough. Although we did skate on the canals several winters (even wearing this scarf), but the gold standard here is the Elfstedentocht (11-cities-tour), an almost 200 km parcours through Friesland, in the North, and chances for this to happen again are slim (the last edition was in 1997).

(I’m still adding to the Multiquote of Doom, but these are all so lovely!)

I was surprised, upon moving to Germany, to learn that the most common “snake” to be found is actually a legless lizard. Which I had never imagined to exist. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_slow_worm

I still haven’t seen one, but hope one will show up in my garden, as they are harmless and a sign of good ecological health.

Here’s our favorite honorary snake

And if we’ve got ersatz serpents, how about ersatz music? The Orloj in Prague isn’t technically musical, but it’s got cocks crowing and drums being beaten, and caps the show off with church bells. (And also I never wear this scarf enough.)

Mécanique du Temps:

I’ll semi-successfully tie these ideas together to point out that Nian, the mysterious serpent that shows up at Chinese New Year, is chased away by loud noises. So find the noisemakers!
