Excited that I finally got my hands on an ELEK! And... drum roll.... in the exact colorway I most coveted! And it was even less than retail prices last decade. What a bargoon, if I'm using that correctly!

Even more excited that I finally got to wear it out today for the first time while my puppy stayed home happy as can be napping in her kennel. Her antibiotics seem to be working (hopefully!) so I felt she could handle some box time for the first time. She stayed dry and handled it so well, a much needed win! The ELEK is such icing on the cake.

Let’s continue with red scarves 🧣 as we continue our new year celebration 🎉 🐍🧧

Hermes has been doing red scarves since the very beginning. The reddest one I can think of from the early years is the Alliance Franco-Anglaise from 1940 — which I have, but not in red.

I thought I would do a little retrospective of red scarves through the years:

1930s: Pastorale (the rosiers version) — we are going to count pink as basically red



1940s: Histoire des Cartes à Jouer (1949)



1950s: Grande Venerie Royale (1957)



1960s: La Tenue de Venerie (1964)



1970s: Hourvari (1971)



1980s: Les Trois Mousequetaires (1980)



1990s: Caraibes (1991)



2000s: Naissance d’un Idee (2004):



2010s: Jaguar Quetzal (2018)



2020s: Animaux Bandana (2024)

So much delightful color! It leaps off the page. Scarves with feathers are just so great for texture.

Posting one last red today. Inspired by an older mod shot of @Agrume's, I paired Jardin de la Nouvelle Angleterre with a tweed jacket for this afternoon and evening. I wish my jacket had a touch of pink in the weave as hers did, but mine will have to do!

Finally able to join in the Lunar New Year theme with a brand new acquisition! Yesterday's trip to the boutique yielded Botanica Grafica 90. Here we see the reverse side which features a fabulous motif which as the light varies ranges from dark red to vivid dark pink. Hop over to the Spring 2025 thread for the front side.

I wear it tied tightly but the design is so pretty that I had to take another pic to show the little animals. It’s almost like a real oil painting, I feel like I can get lost in the details.
