Sharing my new-to-me Jardins de la Nouvelle Angleterre by Madame Laurence Bourthoumieux (Thioune), aka Toutsy today. I was very thrilled to find this beautiful red cw to join my serenely lovely rose/mastic one. I would love to find this design in blue as well-- it has so much personal resonance for me given my American family's New England roots... Bonus holiday colors, too!

I love that little weathervane-- an iconic feature of the landscape.
This is a spectacular cw of a dreamy design. One can get lost in it. Congratulations on finding it.

Hello and Good afternoon. Normally I only post in the morning, but I just got mail and want to share this with somebody who will understand my joy 😊

My x-mas present from me to me - what do you give someone who has a lot of silk scarves? A double silk scarf!
A combination of La Source du Pegase and Caleche elastique to be one very Big 90 x 180 cm scarf. Can be worn long or folded to ‘normal’ size. And it is even in Holiday colors. What a thoughtful gift 😉.

Congratulations @HermesEchidna! What an unusual and vibrant piece! I also heartily endorse the idea of me-to-me scarf gifting-- after all, in what other situation can you absolutely guarantee the accuracy and taste of both giver and receiver? Nicely done!

Tourbillons by Christiane Vauzelles
Have a dynamic week!
Just lovely @Coco2606 -- I know you shine in your beautiful brighte but this lovely soft wintery look is delightful also!
So cozy and mesmerizing!!
Just wow!!! The crisp red is definitely so delightfully holiday inspiring. I could see this look working well for Valentine’s Day also.
Thank you so much @Jereni-- this one has long been on my list...I am glad you like it!
Brightening up the start of the week with this bright yellow pretty.

Photosynthese by Theo de Gueltz is my scarf of the day.

This is one of the most beautiful scarves that I have seen in a while. Gorgeous on you, and I adore the lovely reds.
I love the yellow @Redbirdhermes-- I believe you and I may be the rare scarfies who have this design? At least on TPF.
Thank you also for your very very lovely comment. I am so appreciative-- it means a lot coming from you and your very discerning collector's eye!

As always, looking forward to seeing everyone's scarves! 🤩
Very nice colors @mktlim!

Good catch for the theme @JavaJo-- we are twins-- or maybe sisters -- on this beautiful cw. Mine is a wash version...
That's a bordeaux beauty ... congratulations
Love that Tout Coeur in blue so much! Your Temari CSGMs are simply wonderful @Croisette7-- and thank you for the nice comment on Nouvelle Angleterre, too. I love bordeaux cws!!!!
I've always love this one (the red version) and had no idea it was Toutsy! Congrats on it!
Thank you @bunnycat! If you examine it closely you can see artistic similarities in the foliage of this and Mythiques Phoenix, for example. But it is different from much of her work, for sure!
Thank you, dear ‘Nola. That means a lot coming from you, double-twin - your styling of these beauties is impeccable! I do love the vert noir ❤️

Such a lovely pastoral scene, and the bordeaux border is super on you. Very festive!
Thank you @Lellabelle-- when I started collecting I had exactly one red scarf and now I am need two hands to count them!
I’ve tried to get better over the years at only buying scarves and shawls in colorways that easily suit me. I tend to wear a lot of neutrals, so the scarves make the outfit. I find when something requires a lot of styling effort, it just sits in the bottom of the drawer until I eventually resell it, no matter how pretty it may be. This Faubourg Tropical is one of the few exceptions in my collection. It requires full makeup and thought around what to pair it with or else it completely washes me out. And yet, I find it so ethereally beautiful that it’s worth the effort.

P.S. Very exciting to see the new season scarves beginning to pop up online today! View attachment 6100445
It is a stunning piece and looks absolutely beautiful on you @PoliticalGal-- I am looking forward to more of your mod shots and stylings!!!

I love this knot for this @bunnycat-- just an absolutely cool and casual look!
This is a spectacular cw of a dreamy design. One can get lost in it. Congratulations on finding it.
Thank you @Maedi-- I stopped looking for a time and then resumed. I think the pink cw we have is "dreamier" but the scene is so so so inviting. I absolutely feel I could walk right onto one of the paths...

Love that I am not the only one who will have an orange box underneath the Christmas tree from me to me ;) and a small orange box from DH will be waiting as well… can’t wait to open both!
Yours looks like a special treasure, I’ll be curious to see how you style it in the future!
Dear Jacq and HermesEchidna: Yes!!! That’s all I want for Christmas, too, another scarf of course, but my DH will say, as if he’s surprised- ‘not again’ 🤣🤣. I know there’ll be a box from me to me, and I’m already planning excitedly 🤓🤪. The last few I got in the last 2 months don’t count because that’s too far away from Christmas. Ah, this is what a full blown silk ( or cashmere) addiction looks like :yahoo: :happydance:;)

Me too! I’ve given quite a few away because they were too pale on me. This is very pretty on you 😁🙌
My friend, who is a painter and really amazing at putting things together, she sometimes wears scarves I’ve given her with bright tops and jackets and now I try the same. It works!! 🤓

But it had … leaves!!!!

I thought I was going to have to write up a whole explanation of why I love a ton of leaves or vegetation in a scarf, but @FA73 best me to it haha!

Douze Léopards today:

So pretty, Jereni
I’m so glad you got your Les Douze. I love it on you.
I think I need to join the "Because...dogs" club today but also, happily both my choices also meet @Snausages sub-theme of places. I have never been to Alaska, Antarctica or other far northern climes, but I would like to very much. Every winter I wear this beautiful La Vie du Grand Nord because of huskies and polar bears...
View attachment 6098737
And I bought En Liberté! also because of the dogs and the dog park and also because of its assocuation with Rome, a city I love and have visited often starting as a college student and then over the years when my own child was studying abroad there and again later visiting friends who relocated there... The scarf story for this design indicates that the dog park in question is the gardens of the Villa Borghese in camouflage!

My lovely SA pointed out to me that my CSGM and my 90 are essentially the same cw!
Somehow I missed this post. What a perfect tie on La Vie!!! Like a little painting!
Twins on both En Liberté and yes, your SA is right! But the 90 has a lot more going on in the ‘colour department’ 😃
I dragged my poor DH to Rome as it’s one of my favourite towns and it was so hot that he didn’t love it as much as I did and continue to do. But he loved the Villa Borghese museum as if I predicted.
A year ago I took my Mum to Rome and visiting Villa B was one of the best spent days on our trip. That’s why fell in love with the En Liberté scarf, too.
Here’s one of the paintings that I loved.

Thank you Helena! Tigre Royal and necklace are gorgeous!

Good Morning!

Today I wanted to wear Christine Vauzelles because it is a winter scarf. I thought this shirt was perfect, but it became too pale. Well. Easier to change scarf than outfit so I went for another vibe with Zoe Pauwells. Ivresse l’infini is my sotd.

Thank you so much @LKBNOLA @Jereni and @Helena7, as well as anyone else I’ve missed (I’m sure I had more quotes in the multi quote, but I don’t see them here) for your kind words. I think there are many of us here who have special memories of our mothers that are associated with scarves.

Me too. The vert noir is such a drama queen of a silk 🤭. I adore it! I have the gold too, but forgot to post a pic. It’s a stunner too, and quieter than it’s dramatic sisters.

You have a heart of gold, Bunny, truly. Thank you for caring and for looking out for these kitties in need.

Samourais is such a gorgeous design and the purple CSGM is sublime. I adore the deep purple CDC too: wow! 💜💜💜💜

We don’t see the first two enough, thanks for sharing. Your De la Mers have such lovely jewel tones and the coral themed cuff is an inspired pairing.

Such a lovely pastoral scene, and the bordeaux border is super on you. Very festive!

Wow, a great Christmas present, indeed. I am your ‘half-twin’ on the Source de Pegase in this colourway. It’s a bold silk and fun to wear. I suspect there will be an orange box under the tree for quite a few Scarflandians!

I am dying at kitty’s nickname and shudder to think what the little monkey has done to earn it 🤭
Thank you very much, Lellabelle!

Thank you @Helena7-- we are twins on Tigre Royale, which looks absolutely lovely with your eyelet blouse and beautiful necklace!! Love your recollections about Rome, too! You are making me feel overdue to return!

I would love to be on theme this morning--and may yet, if the light cooperates later today. Right now it is continuing rainy and gloomy so I will just share my train station selfie of yesterday. On my way to NYC to pick up some things at H Madison, including two that will go into the holiday gift stack. New York was busy, rainy, cold and wonderful with all the holiday decorations!
