your DH's comment is brilliant: "She paid that for a nail"We went to Christmas markets in Reykjavik and at Trafalgar Square, plus walked through a neon-lighted festive area outside Windsor. Didn't buy anything as DS1 & 2 said the festive ornaments were probably "Made in China" cheapos.
DH is of the "one neck needs only one scarf" school of thought. He asked "Gucci?" I murmured something incoherent in replyThe only time he has approved a scarf purchase was at Cartier - because our fellow traveller spent 13 times the cost of a scarf on a bracelet with diamonds. "She paid what for a nail?" he gasped in shock. DH is very practical.
Eta: he thinks fellow traveller should have opted for a Cartier panther. He likes classic designs.
Thank you, and fabulous on you. I really think these colors are perfect for my winter wardrobe. I think of this Mystere au 24 colorway as being the only nighttime version, what with the dark outside the window. The rest of the colorways appear to be daytime mysteries.Twinsies! (I think triplets with @Foxy trini ) Love it on white (and love your jewels!) - its corners are all wonderful

I hope you find one @Marta_K -- I love your styling and I know you'd do brilliant things with this one.Living.la.vida.fifi and LKBNOLA I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you warmly for enabling me with Equateur MT (your tying mastery is surely beyond my abilities, but I have much fun with this scarf all the same). MsMarzipan I would be very happy if I would ever manage to acquire your beautiful blue CW of Equateur, I love it, and how it looks against your sweater.
I love your Per Borup armring @LeneCPH; it is so beautiful with your H marble twilly (and Tahitian pearl). What a wonderfully flexible design -- how do you change out the stones?Thank you @Living.la.vida.fifi and everyone for sharing your beauties this week! Here is my small contribution for the week, marble silk twilly with twilly ring, paired with a gold chain with my grandmother's diamond pendant. To go with that, a ring with a faceted blue-green Tahiti pearl and diamond by Danish Designer Lunnemann Jewellery and my favorite bracelet by Danish designer Per Borup, with a red agate set with diamonds. I wear this bracelet almost every day, as I can change out the stone for another color or a faceted Tahiti pearl, so it goes with everything.
Wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!🎄

Thank you @bunnycat!I adore that PenF on you! The white contrast hem is a real chef's kiss on this one.![]()
What a lovely pairing @Solday.
Love this cw and format of PeF, LKBNOLA! Also considered this one.
Congratulations on your beautiful new Jaguar @Agrume-- it looks spectacular on your blouse but will look amazing no matter what-- this is the perfect cw for you-- truly suits you well. (and thank you for the PeF compliment!)SOTD was my most recent acquisition, Le Jaguar te le Colibri. First I considered the Acajou/blue CW SilkCouture showed, and then the one with the navy background. In a very rare (because of opening times and queues) visit to the boutique, I was shown this cw and fell for it. Worn to an exhibition on La grande bleue, showing paintings of the Mediterranean. I tried to put it above my coat instead of below, thanks to the input of this blog!
Paired with the jaguars on my blouse (though no colibris - only parrots).

Congratulations @bunnycat on your beautiful new GT-- it suits you perfectly! Not that I don't love the Panoplie but that striped hem is hard to beat!Hello Scarflandia!
This week the weather cooperated (????) to line up for the theme here in TX. A rather amazing feat, but the cold always leaves me worn out with caring for the 2 porch kitties who spend at least a portion of their day and night with us, warming their Snuggle safe warmers around the clock, and TRYING to convince them to go in the new insulated super tall, quilted cat bed that is big enough to fit a pair of brother kitties ....Plus the extended kitty box duties from the indoor cats who don't want to go out at all in the cold....It's all cat duties all day long when the weather is cold. CSGM wearing a plus! More cat duties...not so much.
So today I bundled up in one of my favorites- Panoplie Equestre CSGM - the colors!!!!

Wonderful intro @Agrume for our final week! Twins on MP - gorgeous color combo
@LKBNOLA your posts are always a showcase of stunning styling!
Happy last week of the year and thank you to all of you scarfies who make this a warm and welcoming place to share our love for these treasured pieces. I've learned so much and been inspired in some way by each of you. A special shout out to @Living.la.vida.fifi for hosting last week's mind and eye blowing tour through the many ways jewelry can greatly enhance our beauties. Your eye for jewelry is enviable!
I love that we are ending the year with a focus on cashmeres and other large formats. Today I'm sharing the one that sent me irretrievably on the H slippery slope. What started off as this one spectacular CSGM, for which at the time I hesitated about spending so much on a 'piece of fabric,' has now become a collection I'm struggling to keep organized and give time to each because as it turns out, the CSGM format is the easiest to wear. I wear one almost every day of the year from about September through mid-May and always have an additional one over the back of the couch or tucked into my bag just in case the air conditioning is a little too fierce inside during warm months.
My 'couch' shawl has never actually been worn outside the house and is probably my most sensible ever of H purchases for cost per wear. I've got to be down into the pennies per wear by now! Someone please remind me to share it because I will probably forget! I haven't even got a proper mod shot yet and I think that is definitely deserved.
I fear I'm overstaying my welcome, so here at last is L'Arbre du Vent!
My favorite shawl, and my first. What do they say about first loves?

Happy Christmas Eve Eve, everyone!
What a gorgeous trio of offerings! All are amazingOooeee what a week of amazing jewelry/scarf combinations. Just amazing. I was always pages and pages behind so I had no time for comments. Here is sotd and Christmas mail. And at some point this week someone said cloisonné, so I reached for one of mine to match with a scarf. Butttt I never got to wear it this week sadlyBut I will post pic to join.
Ecosse today tied to highlight the purple thistle. I love to wear jewel tones during the holiday. And wearing an early Christmas present of a sterling necklace. It came with a stunning, but massive flower pendant that is not something I could wear w a scarf.

Thank you for hosting our last week! The Madison Party is so fun and you wear it so well!Welcome to a new week, the last full week of the almost completed year: “Keep Off the Chill. Cashmeres and other large formats”
First, many thanks to Fifi and her phantastic hosting!
And to all of you making this blog such a kind, heartwarming place to come to.![]()
For this week, show your cashmere shawls, large or small, and other large formats you own. And your Christmas presents, if in scarf form. How you wear them - at home, out in the cold ⛄ ❄️, above your coat or under? Do you have a favourite, or do you keep them in rotation?
When I started buying H scarves, I was reluctant to spend that much money on a CSGM. Too afraid of losing them, damaging them, not wearing them enough. Now I have more than enough of them and love them. I try to keep their number small (though I fell for one last week, more about this later this week).
SOTD is a Christmas themed scarf, Madison Party. And last week I wore one of my most used CGSMs, Peuple du vent.
Looking forward to see yours, and happy and peaceful (Christmas) days! 🎄

So clever to show the trompe l’oeil Feux! It is such a beauty! And I had no idea that the hems were different colors! That is so special! Love how you styled the triangle… it is magnificentThank you for this warm and inviting introduction @Agrume--love both your examples! What a nice counterpoint to end the year with this theme after the beautiful week we have just had! I am going to share my SOYE-- a lovely triangle. This was the second GT I bought and remains a favorite-- the swirls on the design remind me a bit of jewelry so perhaps it can even be a crossover scarf...
View attachment 5917090
And my SOTD is not cashmere, but I am going to stretch the theme because it looks so realistically like a cozy, warm, knitted sweater or muffler around my neck. Hat tip to @Redbirdhermes for the inspiration and to our new sister @Cookiefiend. Besides the very very cool trompe l'oeil tag, this delightful scarf has different colored contrast hems on each side.
Echoing @redheaddem's appreciation for this amazing community and wishing everyone who celebrates today a wonderful Christmas Eve-- and may the Scarf Santa be good to you all!
Such a treasure!Welcome @Agrume, to Keeping Warm Week. Our current temperature this Christmas Eve morning is already 50F, which is very warm for here in the North. Love both looks… This edition of Parade en Fanfare is spectacularGood morning and Happy Boxing Day to all-- sharing two small format cashmeres today. My SOYE, a Pirouette au Galop losange worn as a collar and for today, the delightful small 65 cm Parade en Fanfare. I heard today is the second busiest day at the Post Office (all those returns!) so I chose my scarf ring accordingly (). Looking forward to scrolling up and checking all the posts!

Stunning!
Gorgeous!
Spectacular! You look amazing!SOTD was my most recent acquisition, Le Jaguar te le Colibri.

The new season Mystere au 24, in camel/vert/blanc, CW08. It coordinates perfectly with my tourmaline and Tahitian necklace that I assembled myself from a couple of unworn strands from TLee and Pearl Paradise.

So beautiful… both!Hello Scarflandia
We went today to a family dinner at my aunt's to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and it was a lovely affair and a chance to meet many relatives who live abroad. I went in my Cavale Joyeuse gavroche and favourite green earrings:

How wonderful to see your face @xincinsin and excellent scarf on site!
And TY for the lovely compliments @Agrume and @Croisette7
Such a fun and wonderful scarf! We went to Christmas markets in Reykjavik and at Trafalgar Square, plus walked through a neon-lighted festive area outside Windsor.
Amazing!!Wishing everyone who celebrates the happiest of holidays.
On theme with a warm and cosy SOTD - Lettres d'Erevan.

Both are spectacular on you! Congrats on that gorgeous triangle… That hem!Hello Scarflandia!

I did de-bundle briefly to try on my new Arcs en Ciel CSGT.
