Like @Nomad, I also thought of dolls, and my SOTD is a doll of a different kind. According to a post I found, "Kachina dolls have long been a tradition among the Hopi tribes. They also have spiritual significance for the Navajo and are commonly crafted by Navajo artists." I used to have a doll collection that was started by my grandmother. She brought me a doll from anywhere she traveled, usually in native costume. I did not consider them playthings but a cherished collection (perhaps a precursor to my scarf collecting propensities :giggle: ). She never brought me a Kachina doll, but now I have a scarf full of them!

To me, this THE CW for this design. I saw it in person and thought the blue and green coordinate perfectly in this design and, of course, you style it perfectly!

I was the first sibling in my family to get married, so I had no experience with little children as my brother and sister were close in age to me. When I was pregnant with DS1, Nippon Paint was running a commercial on TV extolling the wonders of their washable paint. The example used was kids drawing on walls and their frazzled parents switching to Nippon Paint to wipe off the artistic scribblings. Worried me asked DH if we should repaint the house  He :roflmfao: , being the veteran uncle of 9 nieces and nephews

This was my scarf mail on Monday. I can't call it a grail as I never expected to acquire one. It was a Lucky Find (tm).

@Redbirdhermes and @LKBNOLA When DS1 was a toddler, I plotted to buy him a childsized Kobelco Acera excavator. It was in a lovely turquoise and it took me some time to convince myself that I was buying it for me rather than for DS1 who had no interest in large construction machines. He preferred Ultraman and Beyblade.

Kobelco, Ultraman and Beyblade all originate from Japan, so here's a Japanese toy: temari balls were/are used in handball games. When I was young, decorative Japanese dolls were sold in shops here. Each doll held a parasol, a fan, a branch of wisteria or a game paddle for playing temari.

Wow wow wow!
Both scarves are TDF but your Premieres Mains has me catching my breath!

Ever since I spotted this hidden scarf in the Hermès Pop-Up book, I've been looking for Le Potager Extraordinaire.

What a stunner! Thank you for sharing all of the little details that make the design special. That contrast border is divine too. Congratulations on your beautiful new scarf.

First scarf that came to mind for theme is zabavushka. Particularly the nesting dolls came to mind. I thought I had more from my childhood in my home, but they are still at my parents I guess. This one is on top of one of the bookcases, w my dala horses and other family trinkets. I tried a more subdued look w it today. Last time was a turquoise top.

Ohmigoodness- this is beautiful on you!
You are always the most inventive finder and seeker of theme appropriate connections @xincinsin -- and I love the double tie!

This is beautiful @Redbirdhermes! I purchased another cw but this is my very favorite one of this design and it looks fantastic on you-- particularly with this top. I know I can relate to the scene as well...

 So does mine! My grand-little now demands breakfast every morning on the porch so she can supervise the landscaping work being done in her front yard. Nothing is as fascinating to a two year old as an earth mover or a back hoe apparently!

Thank you @bunnycat!

Aw, I LOVE this @Cookiefiend-- one of my favorites of your scarves! And that picture of her sweet delicious little face is just precious...

A lovely cw of this design @CuriosObsession.

What perfect perfect highlights from your lovely collection @Forever Orange -- great minds too as I pulled H Story for the rocking horse also! Your Cave Fellem has me swooning...

Thank you both @Maedi and @Nomad! I have never felt certain about purple but am getting more adventurous! That scarf sure does love it!

This is a beautiful pairing of tops and this scarf and really highlights the colors for you. Perfection! I am sisters on the scarf and also still have my nesting dolls-- or rather my DD and now my DGD (grand)-- has them in her bookshelves! A lovely photo, tie and post @Nomad!

Very nicely styled @336 !
Thank you!
playing hide and seek with her (especially when she was little) was so fun, we’d look in impossible places (talking the whole time), “Is she under the couch?”, and get down and look under there while hearing giggles in the background. But the best part was finding her. ❤️❤️❤️ She was so tickled.
(she still is when we play ❤️)

YES, @Redbirdhermes! Look at how clever you are, finding those tiny details on Objets for this theme! One for these is on my wishlist, and now moving up on it after seeing yours modeled. And what a beautiful little grandchild!
Your grandson is darling! I too have a two-year old grandson, and in 4 weeks (fingers crossed) a new little granddaughter. He calls me Mimi (aka Mamy)

A fantastic design to own and looks great w outfit.

I love the way the dark border on kachinas and your stripes on your top are matching! It creates the BeSt look all around.

awe Yay! :ghi5: . Congrats! The details in this are absolutely amazing. Imo it’s the best PM design, but I know both of you love dame de couer too.
Triplets with @LKBNOLA. Enjoy it!

I am in the grandmother of two year old club, too @frenchgirl! How exciting to welcome a new grand-little into your family. And I am glad to see that breakfast al fresco with the right toy equipment for company is a thing, @Redbirdhermes

I adore both @Maedi-- the Petits Bonheurs is beyond tender and precious.
