this wasn’t the scarf I planned to wear today (I had a PDS to debut!) but this is the one I chose for the day. Still on theme, as this one is breathtaking to me, too. Cite Cavaliere, and an SE, I think?

for @Nomad and the colour crusaders, I managed to match my lippie almost exactly :winkiss: It’s a lip stain (jelly melt) from Sephora, called Samba ;)
I love this colorway!!
There is a country music ballad by Shania Twain that feels apropos for me this last morning of "Breathless Week." Here is the scarf that started it all for me-- the one that brought me to the party so to speak. Even though there have been so many beauties in the meantime (SO many :panic: ) I always remember my first coup de foudre, my first love, the one I always come back to... so:
Don't let the green grass fool you,
Don't let the moon get to you,
You gotta dance with the one that brought you
And you can't go wrong.

I can see why this was “The One.” Stunning!

Oh you bet I will be looking at that lip stain next time at Sephora. It is indeed a perfect match to your gorgeous sweater color. A wonderful backdrop to your SE. Twins and was going to show mine today too!! So I’ll throw it here. Imperfect tie for sure and will work on it. I Lost my breath when I opened the box on this one.

Nomad…..you have pushed this one to the top of my wishlist! I’ve try the gray/white, the red/white, the insanely gorgeous solid blue one with yellow hem, and a blue/red/green one. None worked. My heart has been waiting for this one!

Having lost my own grandmother earlier this year, the passing of Queen Elizabeth has been especially emotional. They both had such a twinkle in their eye and the most warm and welcoming smiles, love of small dogs, headscarves, and an unending love for their family. When William said it would be some time before the reality of life without grannie would feel real, I could relate. In honor of his grandma and with thoughts of mine, I wore this very special Voitures Exquises today.

Greetings, dear Scarfies, on this solemn day of tribute to a great and inimitable Queen. Wearing my Regina gavroche, arriving in time for Her Majesty’s funeral. Pearl studs, pearl necklace and Wedgewood angel brooch to honor Queen Elizabeth’s impeccable and lovely style. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, Elizabeth Regina.

Beautifully worn.

Such a fun intro BunnyCat and so many directions to go with it!
I have a library full of books that I'll try to pair with my scarves for the first half of the week... for the later part it will be all 'Seat of My Pants What Can I Do Here' as I'll be out of town!
(and you know I love the SoMPWCIDH pairings!)

Such a lovely pink! :faint:

Fantastic!

Both are so lovely.
(and very well played!)

:heart::heart::heart:

So sweet Karenska, and a lovely tribute.

Thanks! It was kind of seat of the pants anyway for me....

Love this beautiful green one. I found it in a tie ONE time, and was too late making my decision to get it.

A beautiful tribute for today.

As I always say, when in doubt, Annapolis (and almost any other Jan B scarf) will probably fit the theme.

Here's Animapolis the Maxi Twilly Slim turned to show the big cat (and in honor of the stuffed kitty toys I always had laying on my bed when I was little). But don't forget there are dancers on this one (which is almost a game in itself, as well as the skateboarding penguins....)

Good morning all. In honor of Her Majesty the Queen, I am wearing Voitures Exquises LE. It was early and the lighting was not great when I took this shot, but I did also put on my pearls and a cardigan to watch this morning. I wish I had a kilt! My actual SOTD, also in fond remembrance is La Dame de Coeur. Twins with @Redbirdhermes, who showed this lovely cw and her bright new one yesterday. It does seem fitting today to wear a scarf titled The Queen of Hearts. :flowers: And I believe these may even reach the theme as both Voitures Exquises and playing cards are parlor games!

Editing to clarify that Exquisite Corpse (cadavre exquis), which Voitures Exquises is based on, is a parlor game in which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled by the participants in sequence. The invention of the game is credited to the Surrealists according to Wikipedia. @Redbirdhermes very methodically solved the puzzle for us!
So happy you had this color top to pI’ll that color out fo the scarf. Redbird did that too. It’s sooooo good looking! Ha both scarves are fitting
Like @LKBNOLA and probably others of you, I got up early to watch the State funeral of QE2. I'm finally dressed now as the hearse heads to Windsor for the internment.

Voitures Exquises is a puzzle scarf. The quote above describes the solution to the puzzle where the various carriages are reassembled. They do remind me of the gun carriage that we saw this morning transporting the Queen's coffin from the Hall to Westminster Abbey. May she rest in peace.

Very classic look here in the light brown And pearls. For a somber respectful day, perfect.

Love the entire look w the lippie, that awesome neck tie, and top color.

Not on theme sadly. I threw this on when I realized it was fairly chilly at 65. I love that this cw goes so well with my jeans. And apparently my leather tote I use in Autumn. But yet again daughter gave opinion today. She said she doesn’t like this scarf on me because of all the busyness on it . A thought I had had too myself last week when I reached for it, but I love the colors so much.

Like many of you honoring HRM, my scarf on this historical day is Voitures Exquises.

My favorite children’s book (even more beloved than The Stupids series!) - when PBS aired the Meryl Streep version I was a sobbing mess. Love this colorway!

You are inspiring me to seek out a MTS. Love this design in this format!

I rather like this! Perhaps your daughter just isn’t used to seeing you in busier prints? Curious if that’s a Kooba bag?
