A scarf that I’ve many many times considered putting in the re-home pile is Mythes et Metamorphosis … “it’s too pink, is it the funny shade of pink I don’t like (there is one shade), the blue is too icy, I have so many pink scarves (:giggle:)”…
Until one fateful night in 2020 when I discovered the pink is the exact same shade as my favorite French Rosé - woot!! I never ask myself those questions now, but I do try to wear it so that I don’t show too much of the icy blue - except for today - for the benefit of Scarflandia…
You’re welcome! :roflmfao:

It was only my second day on the forum in June 2020 when I stopped to admire this red Jungle Love Tatouage (Tattoo) on @CanuckBagLover . At the time I felt that scarves with more colors were a better value than single color scarves. It is my casual observation that the more complex colorways of a particular design come out first, then simpler colorways appear later in the design run. (Mountain Zebra and La Patisserie Francaise are two examples.)

But, I still love this scarf, so two years later I have finally succumbed. Introducing my red jacquard Jungle Love Tatouage (Tattoo).

It's a beautiful scarf!
Funny - I am planning on posting my tatouages too!
My original thought was "Only one color?!? What?", now it's "Oh it's perfect!"

I see what you mean about the shade of pink, but it does look amazing with your white shirt and blue-gray jacket. My other hesitation is the white hem. I have a lifelong worry about white showing dirt faster, so I try to avoid colorways with white hems. It is a real dilemma when my favorite colorway in a design is the one with the white hem. What to do, what to do????? :confused1:

I absolutely avoid white hems! I can’t bear the idea that they would become anything other than pristine. Some of my wellloved scarves - you can see the ‘handling soiling’ - just use. Given that! @Cookiefiend! Your scarf is gorgeous and pristine!!

What a beautiful outfit on you. Being a matchy-matchy person, I never would have put a vivid yellow with a red and white HS together but Lord Almightly it looks stunning.

This is a great scarf on you, the pink appears a touch muted like it's a medium rose color and the blue in it makes the scarf pop against your slate blue dress. It's a winner. Thus far I have not gotten an M&M, when I find a version that's got some darkish teal in it (don't know if the predominately blue one does) then I will happily succumb.

@Redbirdhermes yellow as a primary color and white & red as accents look fabulous with your complexion. I think you should consider wearing yellow more often. (You should see how much yellow and light lime is in my closet. The closet rod is going to fall down any day now).

Thank you! This particular shade of pink is so changeable- I noticed that all of these photos don’t really show the true color - it’s much pinker than these picture show!
As for the white hems - well… so far so good!
Life is messy - I have kids, a granddaughter, a dog, a full life… stuff happens! I managed to keep tomato juice off the scarf (but not my blouse or placemat) tonight, so I’m counting that as a win!
Life is short too - what’s more important? A spotless white hem, or a delicious tomato sammich?
It’s a beautiful scarf and looks wonderful on you.
Thank you sweetheart!

Thank you! But they are meant to be worn and loved, like The Velveteen Rabbit - maybe they count themselves loved if they have a few spots ❤️

Both Carrosses d'or and Jaguar Quetzal are examples of surprise 'take a chance' purchases for me. I usually study all of the designs and colorways and carefully select new items for my growing collection. I like to process as part of the fun. However, I've now learned to make room for items that just catch my eye. The first couple of times that happened I told myself to walk away and I ended up going back for those items within a day or two. Life lesson to make room for the unexpected! I have no regrets. :girlsigh:

It is glorious on you. I had to giggle because I sold this colorway for the reasons you cited.

Can I say thank goodness I am not alone!:hugs:I too, do not like white hems, I feel they can make a scarf look dingy if they get the slightest bit of dirt or age, but like RedBirdH some of my favorite CWs have had a white hem. I have now stopped purchasing the CWs with a white hem, but have kept the ones that I do own. But now I try to make a conscious effort to find a smilier CW or another design that does not have a white hem to satisfy the colors I like. thankfully with H colour scheme you can find another design in a similar CW that hopefully does not have a white hem.:flowers:

A worthy rebuttal, dear Cookiefiend, to my ‘white hem phobia’. You are so right! These beauties are meant to be worn, not sitting in a box untouched.
