I’ve never seen this colorway. Gorgeous!
My opinion is - when fall rolls around…..you will LOVE this.Good day, dear ScarfLovers,
Just looking for some input here. Many of you know about my love affair with the Encadre GT. Well, this camel/gris chine/jaune cw, which I have admired, came my way for a decent price in a ‘new’ condition (laminated tag still attached) but lightly wrinkled instead of properly folded so typical of this particular online resale site. Grrrr!
I do love the colors and I have a couple of purses that would work with it but it is less versatile than my chocolat/blanc/rose and corail/naturale/cobalt cws, which are cws that work very well for me and for my wardrobe. What do you all think? Last pic is to show the wrinkles. Any thoughts how to gently smooth them out? My steamer is out - too hot and too wet. Original folds faded but I can find them and have folded it to the best of my ability. Any input is welcome and thank you.

This design ties so beautifully and your colorway is stunning!!My SOTD is auditioning. She has not yet joined the cast of my Scarf Company. For one thing, she is waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone and she brings two difficult colors for me to the table. I have learned the hard way never to add a scarf where I am iffy about one color-- especially a prominent one. Love the aqua here but embracing the greens today to see how it goes... Le Grand Prix du Faubourg is another design that I purchased in a colorway that I probably wouldn't have chosen had I been given more choices. It is in these purple hues.

Recently I purchased another colorway that is probably my favorite of all.

I'll save my new scarf for tomorrow's explorations, and try some flips on the purple for today.
Looking through the archives I find that I've worn this scarf with dark purple as well as the medium green that is sprinkled throughout the design.

I also tried it with yesterday's blue top.

I think these colors all work, but upon closer inspection I see pale rose, yellow and lavender in what I had written off as a boring monotone scarf. Let's see how this lavender-gray and creamy white tops work today.

The lavender-gray.

And, the creamy white.

I'm wearing the lavender-gray for today, but I'm going to keep this scarf in mind for the creamy white in the future.
Thanks, magjes! Red is not a go-to color for me, but I love it as an accent. The red sweater is the only red clothing I own.On my! What a beauty!!
Red is so striking on you!
A beautiful cw of this amazing shawl @Miss_K.As usual terribly unglamorous photo but this is my latest addition, Faubourg tropical 140! I'm head over heels in love, the colours, the softness and the relaxed, slouchy fabric. Need more 140 chales! View attachment 5392109
Congratulations! This is so lovely-- I haven't ever seen this blue and it is so great that it is the original title! Love it with both tops @scarf1.Scarf mail! carneval de venise in perfect condition. So happy to add this to my collection. So pretty as a braid! I will have to remember this strategy for summer. I braid 90s but haven't tried it with my MT slim. I like it with this top @Nomad!A quick pop in to post sotd. I wore this today because I have only worn it once or twice. Grand prix maxi. I also wore it to see if I might be more interested in that chants/wow muffler haha. I love the colors in it and I don’t own either.

Marvelous and lovely lippy! Beautiful mod shots, great pairings but please don’t forget that acqua look with this beauty because I think it rocks!
It is impressive and you wear is so well! I particularly love the first pairing with the pale yellow sweater which at once softens and magnifies the bold colors. And that green hem is so fresh and delectable to look at!
Red said it so well, it has plenty to go with in your closet. It is a stunning design. I now see by your third post that it does indeed look amazing with those bold colors. But I am most smitten with the first post second pic of an aqua I think it is. Wow. love.
Thank you @Lellabelle and @Nomad and @Marie-the-Mary and @Karenska!Magic. The high contrast and cool pink lipstick is a definite win!
This is great @Thelittlefoxes. It is so pretty and easy to make this knot. Good tutorial!I do not know the name of the knot. You fold the scarf into accordion pleats and pull one side through both holes of a chain d‘ancre scarf ring. Then you pull the other side through the loop created by the scarf in the ring. I‘m not terribly good at explaining, I hope the photos help.

Thank you so much @MAGJES! I was afraid drawer life is what this scarf would be consigned to so I was determined not to keep if I couldn't see it working IRL!This design ties so beautifully and your colorway is stunning!!
I experience and understand the color hesitancy but my goodness this is gorgeous on you.
I purchased an Annie Fairve design in a color that is out of my comfort zone and I have yet to wear. i will have to say
that it looks so lovely in my drawer!![]()
Thie is a stunning combo @Awillow-- a simply gorgeous RdS-- love how you pick up the hem...Today in Robe du Soir. Getting ready for a virtual work event.View attachment 5392573
Thank you, Magjes, I appreciate your and others’ suggestions. I agree about fall and I just purchased a gorgeous cashmere raglan light grey sweater from BR that will just pair beautifully with it! I feel confident I can iron out the wrinkles on the silk setting, dodging the hems, of course. My opinion is - when fall rolls around…..you will LOVE this.
As far as wrinkles…..does your iron have settings?
….Or you can place a towel between the iron and the silk/cashmere so there is just enough heat to create the folds and remove the wrinkles.
They do, perfect illustration, thank you!Thank you, Karenska!

Oh my word, what a gorgeous cw of Les Amoreaux (?), Lkb. A beautifully and casually chic outfit. After yesterday's foray into Bold and Bright Territory and spamming the thread with photos, I am returning today with just one mod shot and back to more neutral ways! I matched this lovely little bandana not to my top but my pants. You can see a bit in the photo. And many many hanks to all the scarfies who generously weighed in with smart opinions and observations![]()

What an absolutely fabulous post! Thank you so much for sharing the book as well as your new beauty. I love this on white @Redbirdhermes but I could also see the lovely pinks working here too!My final scarf of Through the Looking Glass week is my newest colorway of Le Grand Prix du Faubourg.

I tried it with blue earlier this week, and sections of the scarf seemed more white than blue.

Now, I'm wearing it with a white top today. Yeah, I think it looks bluer.
