Heading out to my granddaughter's senior college dance recital. The Tiger changed her stripes and I changed my top!

you are making it really hard not to own this beauty!! amazing against the top, which I love too. Great color and fabric
A few more flips and matches for this week.

Before I decided on the Fleurs et Paillons CSGM the other day, I tried Zebra Pegasus with the nude pink shirt to echo the warm pink tone of the dusty rose ZP in a kind of warm pink and black stripe blend.

View attachment 5390674

Then decided to wait, and wear it later with black for contrast...(I'm so original...)

View attachment 5390676

I most often wear this Tout en Quilt with pink or purple (since there is so much there!) but a few months ago I tried it with the eye-searingly bright H orange cashmere sweater to echo the warm corals and peaches found on it for more of blended look. (If that is possible... ) The softer peaches recede in to the backdrop of the bright orange shirt.

And then today decided to try to pair it with some of the brown and bronze shaded details on it. Here the peach shades stand out.

I always gravitate to the stunning contrast like with the zebra on black. But both looks are so good! And tout has the best colors in it! I regret not buying this myself when I had the chance.
It was a scarf mail day! Not much color flipping here with the matching colors, but when I got this in the mail, I had to put it on.

You found yourself a very elusive scarf. Many congratulations!! It took me over two years to find mine in this colorway. It was the one cw/design that threw me, not so gently, down the orange slope.
Bingata with jeans and green cardigan and Tee. Did I flip it?
And a bonus cat tail.

absolutely wonderful colors with your scarf.
After all the orange yesterday, some quieter colours. Navy is one of the easiest colours to combine, be it top or scarf. It brings out bright contrast hems and dots of colours. Rendez-vous Rive Gauche with navy and turquoise from last summer, and a navy top with De passage à Tokyo (and a nearly matching bag) from last week.

wow love all the looks. All of this is my color wheelhouse. And that white hem is the best
Flip, you say? Flip?
No way!
Whatever goes on me
Is a mere accessory.

Two looks with Della Cavalleria Favolosa.

i am not a double face convert. This design has great sides to it
From the archives…..

I know it’s a little much but if you can flip stripes I think I did it here. :P …..the rug is a bonus.

View attachment 5390955
hahah love it with the rug. I have a zebra rug in my office and love it. You got the zebra head on the scarf perfect ha
Kachinas wash today. White scarf with pink borders on blue, after yesterday's blue scarf on a pink top. I like this pairing.

View attachment 5390986
it’s perfect with the blue. Congratulations again. washes really are great
SOTD to take a hike today in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Balade en Berline losange. On another note, was I really writing silly poems at 5:16am?

The match with your top doesn’t get any better.
Three attempts with one scarf. I love love love this cw of Le Premier Chant because of the unusual taupe/grey neutrals anchoring the vibrant orange and lovely blues. But it is a challenge for me to imagine other than blue as a base. Then I bought some lovely short-sleeve sweaters (thank you JCrew). What do y'all think? Finally, this is such a very busy scarf that I tend to not think pattern mixing will work, but I tried it with a teeny striped pinky-tan top and I kind of like it...Any and all suggestions welcome!

wow now this all is H magic. Perfectly tied together looks. I am partial to the striped look best. The scale with the scarf, the juxtaposition of the cascading hemline against the horizontal stripes, and the not perfectly matchy matchy color of the top just puts it above.
I guess I‘m not really on theme today with my actual SOTD: Le Jardin de la Maharani in a pale but lovely cw with a sweater and all bundled up later today because despite the sun it‘s still quite cold outside.

Ooooo so pretty peaking out with the drop earrings .

IMHO it is very beautiful against the camel and blue background which reflect its wonderful colors. Your knots are amazing, @LKBNOLA!

Wow fun theme this week. I like to be stretched in my scarf wearing. Thanks @Agrume. Your collection is magnificent. Wow. My scarf mail this week with a grail. I am to the moon with how much I love it. I had resigned myself to never getting one for close to retail about a month ago, along with Jardin anglais, and along came this guy for guilt free purchase.
I did a white shirt base since there is so much white throughout the scarf and then pulled the ?almost? orange shading color out of the ?red? shells and tree. Sometimes it’s hard to tell actual colors in scarves because they turn when up against clothes.

In keeping with loving everyone’s complete outfit looks I am going to post my complete outfit. I tried to pull out color in the scarf with a couple of purses too. Both my red and my orange purse clashed. I settled on this blue longchamp. I once again purchased an item to honor my sons origami habits. And I took off my scarf to eat a lunch with the kids at an Asian food court with slurpy sauces all over. I could get hit by anyone ( including myself) eating with chopsticks at my table haha. And these are my absolute fav shoes, in blue. Sketchers with foam soles and bling. I wear them all the time for my errands bc they just slip on and are so comfy. I have 4 colors of them lol. It’s these or Dansko clogs usually. My job, when I do it, requires sneakers so I have no need to torture my feet anymore. My feet rarely enjoy my beautiful shoes lol. N Jeans w my scarves are pretty much my daily.

and I tried a new do. It’s a modern twisty Mohawk type look from Instagram. Does not translate well for curly hair (or in my pic), but fun to try. I now understand why they all had sleek straight hair on Instagram haha.

Congratulations, Nomad! This is such a beautiful design and my favourite cw. I wish I could find one too that doesn’t break the bank, it‘s absolutely gorgeous.

Ooooo so pretty peaking out with the drop earrings .

Thank you, I like how the earrings have both a blue and a pink stone and therefore match the main colours of the scarf.

Just a gorgeous textile piece and perfectly suited to your coloring!

Thank you so much, I just love the warm colours.

Good morning and a Happy Easter to all and to those who just finished their second Seder, a Good Pesach week ahead. My scarf today, with its lovely floral pastels and its superimposed message of Freedom seems like a fitting choice for the day and for the state of our world. Eleftheria:

A quietly beautiful, soft cw of a very lovely design.

Here is my Monday contribution to Colorful week! Looking forward to seeing all the posts from yesterday and catching up with everyone.

Beautiful, this is my favourite cw of this design.

Good morning everyone. Posting a colorful Ex Libris en Kimonos! I was lucky to find this pre-loved beauty after @momasaurus "inspired" me about this time last year to go on a single-minded and somewhat crazed hunt for it. I was smitten and had to find it! That never happens to anyone here, am I right?
View attachment 5383301

Beyond gorgeous and I love the way you‘ve tied it!

I have had a grail infused week and it is only Wednesday, dear scarfies. I am claiming theme-appropriateness for the first because after all, the title is Etude Pour un Iris Arc-en-Ciel! So...I was inspired by @Marie-the-Mary over on the mousseline thread and delighted to find this beauty.

And then, a little panda followed me home so I kept him! Introducing my new-to-me and extremely gorgeous Sichuan. Forgive me for burbling but I have wanted this for so long and while not rainbow-ish, it is gloriously colorful in its own scenic way.

Now that splashing sound you hear is the oar hitting the water as I row to Ban Island...

This mousseline is so dreamy and it looks great with your sweater.

A colorful Acte III for a chilly morning before the day warms up.

This cw is gorgeous and I love how the different patterns work with your striped shirt!

I am traveling today but last week I happened to wear a colorful favorite. This also came to me in silky TPF friendship so it is a double pleasure to wear! Cent Plis de Miao (with some fun earrings!)
View attachment 5385915

A great design and a very lovely cw - I love your matching lipstick. Your earrings are great, the colour is a real standout.

My quotes are a bit haphazard but thank you all for the comments and likes on Cent Plis. Today I have a colorful little Electrique under my fleece on a cool spring morning in the Northeast!

White shirts and bright scarfs are always a winning combo!

One last small format for colorful week-- I tried a losange because I admired the format on @Karenska and it is very easy and fun. Here is Pirouette au Galop in a red and white pop of color for a travel day...

Perfectly chic!

I absolutely love this with your short sleeve sweaters.

Sunny, lovely. The texture and the ombré are a dream. And you wear it as a Roman goddess would!

Thank you so much! Loving all things Roman as much as I do, this is a wonderful compliment.

My most colorful scarf is Coup de Fouêt au Bloc.

Very fun and the Indian block print is marbellous

My colorful scarf of the day is Tapis Persans, my favorite addictive design (among a few others )View attachment 5385331

Oh yes, this is a very dangerous design! I own only one but I‘m sure it will not be my last. I love how you‘ve tied it; I must try that too.

I am late to the party, so am combining themes for this week and last week, with my brightest and most colourful scarf. There are lots of colours to flip in this one! Excuse the styling, these were quick changes to flip colours without changing the other factors: lighting, location, necklace and knot are the same in each case.
It was interesting to see which colours were highlighted by changing the background colour of top, sweater or jacket. I was expecting the complimentary colour to be highlighted, but hadn’t considered how much it makes the opposite colour in the spectrum pop (e.g. the green and yellow details against the red jacket). It has made me reconsider how I pair outfit colours for sure!
I would never have thought to pair it with the soft green, but I really like this combo, which pulls the purple and pink tones, and balances the colours overall.

A great learning experience!

Fun colours and extremely versatile. Hermès scarfs are not expensive at all, considering you can wear them with pretty much any outfit.

And, inspired by Karenska and her lovely birthday celebrations; something at the opposite end of the spectrum: not a colour flip, but a colour harmony, instead. CDL. The lapis pendant belonged to my mother.
View attachment 5389458
Thank you all. I’m still learning, and this forum provides such inspiration.

And… in true looking glass fashion, I had forgotten that the lapis pendant is ALSO reversible. The alternate side is… white mother of pearl! It’s a perfect match for the double face CDL! The gold setting with the pearl is a perfect match for the reverse of the scarf!

View attachment 5389923

A very elegant scarf, makes me think of Arnold Schönberg‘s „Verklärte Nacht“ (Transfigured Night). The pendant is very special and a perfect match.

So elegant! I love the soft pearl and dove greys

Thank you, I think this is the most delicately coloured scarf I own because I tend to go for the ones in very saturated colours.

:hugs: Awww- thank you!

Thank you Orchard!

Indeed it would have been! Thank you!

Beautiful soothing blues. I'm sure your eyes needed it after all the orange yesterday! :P

Thank you kindly karenska!

 As it should be.....

Della Cav Fav is such a luscious design.

I do believe you didi!

This lets the pretty hot pink border sing.

A very cozy and snuggly look for a walk outdoors. Love the red paired with the gray.

Double thumbs up for the tiny stripes. It echos the scale of the other details (stars and dots). This is a hard color combo for me too, and I think you've found some great fits.

Beautiful ensemble and just a little peek of pattern.
She sure is a Queen!
