Today I am posting a scarf that I love so much-- the happy colors, the incredible hem, the fabulous starry night sky, the fun "story behind" --but it is still in the process of "rising" for me (to use the wonderful simile @Snausages gave us). I tried some fancy knots from Instagram and I would like to try @Living.la.vida.fifi's knots but I just keep tying it in @blydia's blessedly easy Rando Knot!

Amazing knots!! You are so patient to master the craft. It shows. Love the silk with your velour like top.

This one didn’t rise for me but it’s fabulous on you and the knots are wonderful!

Wednesday's scarf of the day - Alice Shirley's Into the Wild. Happy to have scored this colorway years ago when it first came out. Happy to see all of the wonderful Canadian arctic animals hiding in the design. Happy that the Northern Lights are there in there surreal green glow reminding me of the time I flew them on an Emirates flight over the North Pole. A flight attendant woke us up to ask if my 4 year old daughter and I would like to see them. Yessssss! I will always treasure the long, long view we had and reminisce fondly whenever I wear this. I think I need a better color top to make the colors pop though. Maybe pink! And I desperately need to improve my tying skills, eeeeek.View attachment 5288726View attachment 5288727

5 happy things. 1. Updating my scarf cataloguing from the past few months of shopping 2. Scarf mail received on 12/30/21 - my last H acquisition of 2021 3. Charming details on scarves such as this couple 4. My little clamoring to be the model for the mod shot I was about to take. 5. No pics for my gratitude but happy and appreciative of the scarf mistresses and the lovely posters in this thread. My thanks for making these last 2 years of my H scarf journey so fun-filled and educational. My wallet says otherwise though lol

This is fabulous! What a cutie.
Also - I adore this CW. I looked so long for one with silvery details - mine is black, but this one is really spectacular!!! I see a very happy little collector.

Awesome. That hat is everything. We miss you around here....

My hat thanks you :D. More a Summer weight, but it's a natural pairing with the scarf and cheers me up.

 Apologies everyone, but as I'm online more for work and modding for tPF, I try to do more off-line things too.

I miss all of you scarifies too and love looking at all your photos and comments if I get the time.

I'd say you're doing brilliantly at these knots scarf sister (I have SD in red)

The white border on a dark velvet background looks spectacular worn these ways.

Well, today I received some very special mail in a most vibrant and happy colorway - bright lime green border with shades of gold, taupe, grey and soft turquoise making up the design and frame. I had purchased a turquoise cw of this design a few months ago but was unsatisfied with the condition so back it went. It was a blessing because I just love this bright green version, which is in a beautifully crisp vintage condition. First, my brother gave me a cash gift for Christmas to use towards the next scarf purchase. He loves boating, ships and anything maritime. Second, the acquisition was of a personal and kind nature from a new friend. I don’t have a scarf with this color in my collection, and I am forever fascinated with medieval English and French history, so it is a most important and special addition to my collection. Les Normands by Philippe Ledoux. :hbeat: And with my mother of pearl St Germain CdA which is a perfect match.

A wash scarf is a HAPPY silk in my opinion! Sharing my latest wash scarf purchase in a sweet colorway. Of course I could not resist the green hem.

This is beautiful! Yes, I love the wash scarves and am sad too that they're being discontinued. I understand that folks don't like the muted nature of them but the texture makes me swoon. As I've gotten older, I find myself walking through stores 'petting' the fabrics. If they don't feel good, it doesn't matter how pretty they are. :)

Great CW! And you make that knot look fabulous. When I try it, the ends flop down sadly.
moma, it works better with stiff silk, soft is slippering.

All so esp. artfully and nice ... could you do a tut for the pocket posy on „How to tie“ please?

It's cold and windy today, with our temperatures expected to be below zero F all day. So, wearing two wool sweaters (and a glove!) to model today's happy scarf. I was delighted when this colorway appeared on h.com a couple of years after its inaugural season. That made me extra happy.

SOTD is Animapolis in jaune vif. Let's get the party started with these crazy animals. (And, I love the vif (i.e., brights)).
