It's cold and windy today, with our temperatures expected to be below zero F all day. So, wearing two wool sweaters (and a glove!) to model today's happy scarf. I was delighted when this colorway appeared on h.com a couple of years after its inaugural season. That made me extra happy.

SOTD is Animapolis in jaune vif. Let's get the party started with these crazy animals. (And, I love the vif (i.e., brights)).

If this is the black-hemmed cw, RBH, then we are twins. And it is a brighter and colorway, for sure.

Today I am posting a scarf that I love so much-- the happy colors, the incredible hem, the fabulous starry night sky, the fun "story behind" --but it is still in the process of "rising" for me (to use the wonderful simile @Snausages gave us). I tried some fancy knots from Instagram and I would like to try @Living.la.vida.fifi's knots but I just keep tying it in @blydia's blessedly easy Rando Knot!

These are all so beautiful and perfect with the gorgeous hem! Such an iconic silk.

Yes! This is marvelously happy & happens to be in my favorite color way... super congrats!!
:ty: dear @turfnsurf-- I bought it first in a gav but immediately wanted a 90! A lucky find and a bargain, too.
Beautiful ZOOM outfit and so cool that you can reside in two locations and be flexible to teach.
Ah, yes @Maedi. It is easy to be annoyed by the Zoom life we have to live to be safe but it makes so much possible!
Some associations just cannot be un-remembered. Thank you, @Langsam, for the fairy cake!
Now to hunt down the zombie scarf...

Hi, twin! I wore it straight out of the envelope and to the boutique. It pre-dates my dear SA's stint with H, so she had not seen this design before and was quite taken aback by the chaotic pattern (very different from my usual taste in scarf design). We ended up Googling Zoe Pauwels and looking at all the designs she has created for H. I've frequently been enabled by the scarfies here and will definitely be showing my appreciation in July - our last theme that month celebrates all the times we've been inspired by a silky sister or other significant event!
It is, as they say "a lot" in terms of the design-- maybe even more so with the limited colors @xincinsin. I only had Ivresse when I started here and now own Premiers Mains and Reve d'Australie-- each very different from the artistry standpoint. Can't wait for that "silky sister" week. I will have to post eight times a day given the amount of influence TPF has had on my collex!
Thank you kindly LKBNOLA. Happy to share, the scarves lift my spirits for sure!
Thank you RBH! Fortunately with the aging process I'm still able to wear bright pink scarves and shawls (phew).
I am delighted by that unexpected bonus of the aging process too @orchard! Suddenly more colors are a go for me than I used to believe possible. Maybe it is one of the freedoms we are granted as we age!
Thank you, LKB ... the ring you like is a simple belt buckle.
Very pretty with your necklace!
:ty: and I love your lucite buckle @Croisette7and I have hopes of finding one-- it is so pretty and creative to use it as a scarf ring.
Yes as has been said. Love this with the necklace!

Amazing knots!! You are so patient to master the craft. It shows. Love the silk with your velour like top.
Thank you sweet @Nomad! Knotting was my pandemic hobby @Nomad! Really I only use about five of all the ones I try but it was/is a lovely pastime and allows me to enjoy my silks in a creative and fun way. I have always liked puzzles and my Dad made me learn all the knots when I used to crew on his sailboat so...a good hobby for me. Keeps me out of trouble ;)
This one didn’t rise for me but it’s fabulous on you and the knots are wonderful!
@Snausages... :winkiss:
This is a great look for a zoom rectangle! well done.
OMG-- that is exactly it @momasaurus! The dreaded "Zoom Rectangle"-- there should be a styling tutorial just for that! Of course I already know how to angle the screen and set it higher up but just recently focused on best scarf knots for zooming-- can't be too in your face or too long... :girlsigh:
My hat thanks you . More a Summer weight, but it's a natural pairing with the scarf and cheers me up.

 Apologies everyone, but as I'm online more for work and modding for tPF, I try to do more off-line things too.

I miss all of you scarifies too and love looking at all your photos and comments if I get the time.

I'd say you're doing brilliantly at these knots scarf sister (I have SD in red)
The white border on a dark velvet background looks spectacular worn these ways.
Yes @papertiger -- I know how much work you do to make these boards possible for all of us :flowers: It is really nice to "see" you here too as well as your behind the scenes mod work. So nice to be "sisters"--the red is glorious and thank you for the compliments!
moma, it works better with stiff silk, soft is slippering.
All so esp. artfully and nice ... could you do a tut for the pocket posy on „How to tie“ please?
I am in total agreement about slippery versus stiff silks. Sometimes a knot just will not work on the older softer ones or the wash or dip dyes. As for pocket posy, I absolutely will do so @Croisette7. It is insanely easy. I will post a link to Maya's you tube channel and just show how I do it. It is very pretty to show off hems...

I have just so enjoyed your recent modeling shots @Redbirdhermes! I feel like I am watching an epic-- Redbird in Bright H contra the snow! Scarf Power! Yay! It just makes me smile every morning to think of your Vif Defiance. Plus always styled so beautifully with jewelry too.

Is your CW “double sided” as well?:flowers:
I love both sides, it depends on the outfit ... is the black also double sided?
Why yes, ladies! Here she is on my trusty mannequin @Julide! And dear @Croisette7 has just delivered scarf mail to me without either us having made a purchase or opened an envelope! I can now move Bal to my growing little stack of cherished double-sided carres. I can't wait to pair it with some of my other green tops and softer pinks. THIS is a happy scarf day of discovery :happydance: (thanks also Vitamina H!)

Running out in a scarf that truly makes me happy. It is pink. It always makes me think of our dear @bunnycat when I wear it. And it makes me appreciate this little community of scarfie friends. Thank you all! :hugs:View attachment 5289113

It's gorgeous on you and perfect against that green sweater!

Love Into the Canadian Wild and your pairing with the hunter green top. I have this scarf in the dark cw 08 Vert/brun/jaune with a black background because of the northern lights which appear in it (also have the SE Canada 150 of course!). I bought the 2nd cw because it also reminded me of the Northern Lights DH & I saw when we were flying late at night over the pole to Europe. The green aurora was dancing in a circle around the pole below us as we flew at 35,000 ft. Now if we fly over the pole we always ask the flight attendants to wake us up if it's visible - but we've never been lucky enough to see it again from a plane. Here's my colourway with aurora in dark greens against the night sky with stars.

Glorious shrpthorn!

Scarf mail today and I'm very happy to finally have the fairy cake scarf L'ivresse de l'Infini. And delighted that the chaos in shades of pink and red is corralled by a beautiful grey contrast hem  Rocking home on the subway after a long day at work with a brief evening stop at H where I picked up my first SS22 design.

Wednesday's scarf of the day - Alice Shirley's Into the Wild. Happy to have scored this colorway years ago when it first came out. Happy to see all of the wonderful Canadian arctic animals hiding in the design. Happy that the Northern Lights are there in there surreal green glow reminding me of the time I flew them on an Emirates flight over the North Pole. A flight attendant woke us up to ask if my 4 year old daughter and I would like to see them. Yessssss! I will always treasure the long, long view we had and reminisce fondly whenever I wear this. I think I need a better color top to make the colors pop though. Maybe pink! And I desperately need to improve my tying skills, eeeeek.View attachment 5288726View attachment 5288727

Movement, colours, theme... all very happy!

Whenever I need to lift my spirits, I reach for my L’Arbre du Vent… both my 90 and my shawl which I own in this vibrant fuchsia CW… Such a happy design

Must admit that, like @Cookiefiend, feathers make me happy and I find them so festive! Especially Toutsy feathers as in Carnival des Oiseaux… even the title says it’s a carnival! Chosen for the most festive occasions this past year

And, there’s no party like a Flamingo Party… I am obsessed with this festive design, owning several CWs in both 90 and CSGM form… This is my latest one

Twins with the last one, and I agree: a perfect symbol of happiness!

Thank you, Agrume!

So pretty ... we‘re sisters!

Hello twin!

Beautiful, scarf!

Thnak you, fifi
Thank you, and delighted to be your scarf sister!

This cw is absolutely gorgeous!

A fabulous pop of color!

What a wonderful memory!

YASS - perfect for this week!

MMMMMarvelous!!
Is that a pink hem on your PeF? :faint:
Thank you, Cookie!

I love it @Barbette! Which do you have? Am I remembering correctly the soft pink/grey?

Same over here @Maedi but with the slightly negative connotation that the tune is too catchy and you can't get it out of your head! Thank you about the Leopards. I love them so much! I gave the students several prompts they seemed to like. We shall see today!

I think that pink CDL is my second favorite cw @hotgalaxy! (I am loyal to my black/gold/blue  ). It looks amazing on you. And I too have recently been drawn to hot pinks (since I am on blue-restricted diet  ).

Thank you dear @momasaurus. I really love those wacky leopards and the bookcase in the scarf looks as messy as mine so...

Thank you, @Cookiefiend! This was a "black-is-my-kryptonite" impulse buy BUT new with tags and well under retail so I filled my pencil case. I loved gathering art supplies when I was a kid almost as much as actually using them...

Thank you @citykitty24 -- I too checked and saw one black DuJA go for $1200 in a day! You look fab in pinks!

Good morning, twin! Looking very elegant @Awillow. I adore this BdG-- I think it is my favorite of the three I have...

Same with me @hotgalaxy. My new color-less hair is making e quite adventurous!

This is such a gorgeous one @Snausages! The one Shirley design I would grab in the larger format. Beautiful on you.

Ah, thank you so much @Marie-the-Mary -- I favor neutrals and blues so this TPF adventure has been life changing in many ways! Suddenly I own a growing stack of brightly colored sweaters

Thank you so much @bunnycat! (And @Agrume, too-- don't know where your quote went!)

One of my favorite of your amazing collex of 70s @Agrume-- just charming. #1 on my 70 wish list, too.

Beautiful @EtsyBoss! I think it looks great on the forest/pine green top.

So wonderful and happy @scarf1. Just love this design.

Thank you @Living.la.vida.fifi -- 12 Leopards looks totally green tied this way but it has an orange/navy side and a lighter side too! So versatile and fun.

Ah, thank you @Snausages. Not quite in your brights league but I am trying! It helped that the background is black :giggle:

Stupendous @Croisette7-- and gorgeously tied. It is my favorite of them all. I am so happy to see it on you and flat. A truly special silk. (and my fave scarf ring of yours, too!)

Thank you @Karenska. I love this design in black or white but all the cws are so fun and I love the story of the artist's young son approaching him with his colored pencil set and asking, "What am I supposed to do with these?" Hmmm. Turn them into an H scarf design? Why not? I do keep colored pencils in my desk to this day also.

This is my favorite way to tie this design also @orchard. You must be over the moon with your new beauty. That hem! Those colors!

Hahaha @Redbirdhermes -- joining the great tradition of ice fishing! If I took mod shots outside in snow like you do, my lips would be blue no matter what color of scarf I was wearing. It makes a super great photo backdrop, though! Sisters on this great scarf. I found a redone last summer and love it.

Oh my -- @scarvesandhandbags you have reminded me of all the Siamese fighting fish my daughter had when she was six. In one year my husband and I replaced dead "Swimmy" several times to shield her from harsh realities. The things we do for kids!

So much eye candy here to make us happy @orchard! That Lettres d'Erevan! And among your beauties, my absolute favorite Jardin de la Maharani cw. Just wonderful.
Thank you, LKBNOLA! I keep my fingers crossed for you! It is an elusive design, unfortunately.

New scarves make me happy! I just received the 2022 SS Sous l'Egide wash scarf so here is a quick bathroom shot. I have the Equateur wash scarf and it is so wearable. I love the texture of the wash scarves.

View attachment 5288941
Also, just for fun, I'm posting a pic from our recent vacation to Hawaii. I started the day wearing my Equateur wash silk in the traditional way. Later, we were touring a coffee farm. It was hot and sunny so I did like the Hermes models and tied it around my head. I don't know that I've ever done that before but it worked pretty well to keep me from getting sunburned. Hat + scarf = perfection!

Well, today I received some very special mail in a most vibrant and happy colorway - bright lime green border with shades of gold, taupe, grey and soft turquoise making up the design and frame. I had purchased a turquoise cw of this design a few months ago but was unsatisfied with the condition so back it went. It was a blessing because I just love this bright green version, which is in a beautifully crisp vintage condition. First, my brother gave me a cash gift for Christmas to use towards the next scarf purchase. He loves boating, ships and anything maritime. Second, the acquisition was of a personal and kind nature from a new friend. I don’t have a scarf with this color in my collection, and I am forever fascinated with medieval English and French history, so it is a most important and special addition to my collection. Les Normands by Philippe Ledoux. :hbeat: And with my mother of pearl St Germain CdA which is a perfect match.

Congratulations, Karenska, fabulous!

Total grail scarf ! Love it on you agrume.
Thank you, Foxy!

This ties beautifully, agrume. I love this scarf more each time I see it
I love this one too, agrume! And what a perfect scarf for you. The best colorway.
Thank you, Awillow! :hugs:

5 happy things. 1. Updating my scarf cataloguing from the past few months of shopping 2. Scarf mail received on 12/30/21 - my last H acquisition of 2021 3. Charming details on scarves such as this couple 4. My little clamoring to be the model for the mod shot I was about to take. 5. No pics for my gratitude but happy and appreciative of the scarf mistresses and the lovely posters in this thread. My thanks for making these last 2 years of my H scarf journey so fun-filled and educational. My wallet says otherwise though lol
