It's cold and windy today, with our temperatures expected to be below zero F all day. So, wearing two wool sweaters (and a glove!) to model today's happy scarf. I was delighted when this colorway appeared on h.com a couple of years after its inaugural season. That made me extra happy.

SOTD is Animapolis in jaune vif. Let's get the party started with these crazy animals. (And, I love the vif (i.e., brights)).

Today I am posting a scarf that I love so much-- the happy colors, the incredible hem, the fabulous starry night sky, the fun "story behind" --but it is still in the process of "rising" for me (to use the wonderful simile @Snausages gave us). I tried some fancy knots from Instagram and I would like to try @Living.la.vida.fifi's knots but I just keep tying it in @blydia's blessedly easy Rando Knot!

Hi, twin! I wore it straight out of the envelope and to the boutique. It pre-dates my dear SA's stint with H, so she had not seen this design before and was quite taken aback by the chaotic pattern (very different from my usual taste in scarf design). We ended up Googling Zoe Pauwels and looking at all the designs she has created for H. I've frequently been enabled by the scarfies here and will definitely be showing my appreciation in July - our last theme that month celebrates all the times we've been inspired by a silky sister or other significant event!

It is, as they say "a lot" in terms of the design-- maybe even more so with the limited colors @xincinsin. I only had Ivresse when I started here and now own Premiers Mains and Reve d'Australie-- each very different from the artistry standpoint. Can't wait for that "silky sister" week. I will have to post eight times a day given the amount of influence TPF has had on my collex!

Thank you RBH! Fortunately with the aging process I'm still able to wear bright pink scarves and shawls (phew).

I am delighted by that unexpected bonus of the aging process too @orchard! Suddenly more colors are a go for me than I used to believe possible. Maybe it is one of the freedoms we are granted as we age!

Thank you sweet @Nomad! Knotting was my pandemic hobby @Nomad! Really I only use about five of all the ones I try but it was/is a lovely pastime and allows me to enjoy my silks in a creative and fun way. I have always liked puzzles and my Dad made me learn all the knots when I used to crew on his sailboat so...a good hobby for me. Keeps me out of trouble

OMG-- that is exactly it @momasaurus! The dreaded "Zoom Rectangle"-- there should be a styling tutorial just for that! Of course I already know how to angle the screen and set it higher up but just recently focused on best scarf knots for zooming-- can't be too in your face or too long...

My hat thanks you . More a Summer weight, but it's a natural pairing with the scarf and cheers me up.

I am in total agreement about slippery versus stiff silks. Sometimes a knot just will not work on the older softer ones or the wash or dip dyes. As for pocket posy, I absolutely will do so @Croisette7. It is insanely easy. I will post a link to Maya's you tube channel and just show how I do it. It is very pretty to show off hems...

I can now move Bal to my growing little stack of cherished double-sided carres. I can't wait to pair it with some of my other green tops and softer pinks. THIS is a happy scarf day of discovery (thanks also Vitamina H!)

Love Into the Canadian Wild and your pairing with the hunter green top. I have this scarf in the dark cw 08 Vert/brun/jaune with a black background because of the northern lights which appear in it (also have the SE Canada 150 of course!). I bought the 2nd cw because it also reminded me of the Northern Lights DH & I saw when we were flying late at night over the pole to Europe. The green aurora was dancing in a circle around the pole below us as we flew at 35,000 ft. Now if we fly over the pole we always ask the flight attendants to wake us up if it's visible - but we've never been lucky enough to see it again from a plane. Here's my colourway with aurora in dark greens against the night sky with stars.

Scarf mail today and I'm very happy to finally have the fairy cake scarf L'ivresse de l'Infini. And delighted that the chaos in shades of pink and red is corralled by a beautiful grey contrast hem Rocking home on the subway after a long day at work with a brief evening stop at H where I picked up my first SS22 design.

Wednesday's scarf of the day - Alice Shirley's Into the Wild. Happy to have scored this colorway years ago when it first came out. Happy to see all of the wonderful Canadian arctic animals hiding in the design. Happy that the Northern Lights are there in there surreal green glow reminding me of the time I flew them on an Emirates flight over the North Pole. A flight attendant woke us up to ask if my 4 year old daughter and I would like to see them. Yessssss! I will always treasure the long, long view we had and reminisce fondly whenever I wear this. Same over here @Maedi but with the slightly negative connotation that the tune is too catchy and you can't get it out of your head! Thank you about the Leopards. I love them so much! I gave the students several prompts they seemed to like. We shall see today!

I think that pink CDL is my second favorite cw @hotgalaxy! (I am loyal to my black/gold/blue ). It looks amazing on you. And I too have recently been drawn to hot pinks (since I am on blue-restricted diet ).

I love this design in black or white but all the cws are so fun and I love the story of the artist's young son approaching him with his colored pencil set and asking, "What am I supposed to do with these?" Hmmm. Turn them into an H scarf design? Why not? I do keep colored pencils in my desk to this day also.

This is my favorite way to tie this design also @orchard. You must be over the moon with your new beauty. That hem! Those colors!

Hahaha @Redbirdhermes -- joining the great tradition of ice fishing! If I took mod shots outside in snow like you do, my lips would be blue no matter what color of scarf I was wearing. It makes a super great photo backdrop, though! Sisters on this great scarf. I found a redone last summer and love it.

Oh my -- @scarvesandhandbags you have reminded me of all the Siamese fighting fish my daughter had when she was six. In one year my husband and I replaced dead "Swimmy" several times to shield her from harsh realities. The things we do for kids!

New scarves make me happy! I just received the 2022 SS Sous l'Egide wash scarf so here is a quick bathroom shot. I have the Equateur wash scarf and it is so wearable. I love the texture of the wash scarves.

Also, just for fun, I'm posting a pic from our recent vacation to Hawaii. I started the day wearing my Equateur wash silk in the traditional way. Later, we were touring a coffee farm. It was hot and sunny so I did like the Hermes models and tied it around my head. I don't know that I've ever done that before but it worked pretty well to keep me from getting sunburned. Hat + scarf = perfection!

Well, today I received some very special mail in a most vibrant and happy colorway - bright lime green border with shades of gold, taupe, grey and soft turquoise making up the design and frame. I had purchased a turquoise cw of this design a few months ago but was unsatisfied with the condition so back it went. It was a blessing because I just love this bright green version, which is in a beautifully crisp vintage condition. First, my brother gave me a cash gift for Christmas to use towards the next scarf purchase. He loves boating, ships and anything maritime. Second, the acquisition was of a personal and kind nature from a new friend. I don’t have a scarf with this color in my collection, and I am forever fascinated with medieval English and French history, so it is a most important and special addition to my collection. Les Normands by Philippe Ledoux. And with my mother of pearl St Germain CdA which is a perfect match.
