Thank you for that wonderful tutorial- I had to do it 3 times to get it right, but I did it!
Now I need to get a nicer scarf ring... I think I know where I can find them!

Great tutorial and so easy to follow. Thank you!

I am really looking forward to this week's posts! Your intro was exceptional and you have a remarkable talent for knotting your gorgeous silks!

So pretty with yellow.

Absolutely stunning!! WoW!

I love greens and this one is so pretty!

Great colorways especially that JuDA. I've also been hunting a Domes. The prume/purple you have is a beauty!

Thanks for your sweetness, dear @MAGJES !! ♡
I'm so humbled  I'll try my best for this week.
And I'm looking forward to see your beautiful knots too :hbeat:

Spectacular! I love how you tied both Ns together - so clever!

How marvelous to tie both Napoleons together! All very special

All worn beautifully- loving especially your double bow... is there a tutorial for this?
Also does the Christine Legarde fold-over stay in place (or do you use magnets) :confused1:

Thank you! I should experiment with tying other scarves like that as well. I tie them together in one of the corners of each scarf (doesn't really matter which one with this design imo), let the knot rest on my neck, and the scarves hanging one on each side. Then I just make a "regular" bow, like a men's bow tie or like some tie shoelaces into a bow.

Glorious Ledoux!
love these , Naessi!
I love gavroches and tend to forget about them in winter. This Robes is so cute!

Thank you

I love all these beautiful and bold colours. You also tie them in so many wonderful ways!

Happy Sunday, dear Scarflandians!

I’m so excited to be the host of our weekly theme SOTD! It's an honor for me. I appreciate that @Living.la.vida.fifi invited me to host this week, thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to participate in this wonderful thread. And many thanks to @Cookiefiend for guiding us through the amazing week of Sweetheart Silk

This week’s theme is Tying the knot: Your favorite ways to wear a scarf.

There’s something special about Hermès' scarves – I love their rich colors, exceptional graphics and unrivaled silk quality! There are many ways to enjoy this marvelous silk. It would be great to hang it on the wall with frame, but I prefer to wear it as the ultimate accessories that enhance our daily outfit . I think many of you will agree with me!

As you know, Hermès' scarves are so versatile and can be worn in various ways. I think the biggest charm of this scarf is that you can make it look totally different depending on how you wear it. It interested me that there were no fixed rules or instructions.
So I decided to make a different knot every day when I started recording my SOTD on my Instagram account. It was very interesting to make diverse knots with one scarf. Through these works, I think I have a better understanding of how many details they have hidden in one scarf and how carefully they organized the color arrangement. It’s like a exploring – yes, in a nutshell, we are explorers of this small world of 34x34 inches! :hbeat:

Back to the point, this week, let's share the knots that you love! From fancy knots to simple but useful knots, any knot will do if you like it and enjoy it.

The knot I'm going to show you today is the knot method I showed you in my previous post. My little boys call it a ‘Snail knot.’

1. With Parures des Samourais :
It’s my all time best scarf!

2. With Le Grand Prix au Faubourg :View attachment 4997522

3. With Exposition Universalle:

4. With Cosmographia :View attachment 4997524

5. With Animapolis:View attachment 4997525

6. With another CW of Samourais:
I used my Chain D'Ancre scarf ring to make this variation.

This week, I will post references of the knots I made. Because I just want everyone to enjoy it together.

I'm guess some of you have seen this knot's reference before, it's a video in Korean. I hope your understanding…

This knot's tutorial is started in 1:37 min of this video. Hope it helps you!

Dear Scarfies, please enjoy this week’s SOTD theme and share us your favorite knots! I am looking forward to seeing your magical ways to arrange our treasured silk :heart:

Thank you for your great introduction to this week's theme. I love your video, I will try them all out. Also, you have so many beautiful scarves!

I adore the animal drawings by Xavier de Poret. I would love to add a scarf with his bird drawings to my collection. I know some of you have these and I am so delighted when they are shared. In the meantime I made sure to get the reissue of Bassets this past season. I also found a vintage Les Poulains recently in excellent condition.

I’m pleased to introduce Les Poulains (the foals) by Xavier de Poret as my scarf of the day.

Congratulations, it’s a beauty, and yes, the drawings are lovely.

Thank you @Yoon daily scarf for the wonderful introduction and hosting this week. I'm really looking forward to it, and maybe others who post unique knots can also link to any tutorials or instructions that might exist for those? (If it's not a lot of trouble, of course.)

Your tutorial below was perfect! I'm clumsy with knotting, but I'm pretty sure I could do this with these instructions.

I made a quick tutorial of my last knot for you, dear @Cookiefiend :hugs:
I named this one as ' Chain D'Ancre snail knot' :giggle:

1. Make a triangle fold, and pleats it
(It's the same beginning as the video tutorial)
And fold it to half.
View attachment 4997618

2. Pull one side of the fold gently
through the one hole of Chain D'Ancre scarf ring
View attachment 4997637

3. Place your ring on the half of the fold.
(Nevermind the corner of triangle,
we will adjust it later.)
View attachment 4997620

4. Place your scarf on your neck
View attachment 4997621

5. Pull the one tail (I choose the one located below) through the empty hole of the Chain D'Ancre ring

View attachment 4997622

6. And tie a knot with the another tailView attachment 4997639
View attachment 4997624
And tie a knot once more!View attachment 4997625

I mean, tie a simple knot twice for fixation. ;)
And adjust it please.

7. Pull the corner to downward.View attachment 4997640

8. And spread it.
View attachment 4997641

9. Adjust your drapes!

9-1. You can make the shape of the drapes neatly by holding the part where the drape starts
with the thumb and index finger of one hand, (A)
and then hold the right next to it with the thumb and index finger of the other hand.(B)
And move it (B) gently along the drape as if closing the Zipper lock! I'll take this instruction picture next time.

9-2. In this picture, I'm combing the folds with my fingers haha:graucho: It's another drape adjusting method that I like to use.
View attachment 4997642

10. Then, it's done!

Hope it helps you!
I'm not so good at making tutorials.. but I did my best
Oh I wish I had one more arm so I could take a video..

Wow, this is terrific @Yoon daily scarf! I love your Instagram photos and @turfnsurf and @Cookiefiend directed me to some useful videos/threads last week. Can't wait to try your lovely Snail Knot with and without the ring. For today, I am still practicing my "bovaknot" so here is a simple off center wrap but with a much neater knot than I normally manage! @Pirula, I am swooning over your lovely Pivoines-- definitely would love that design in my closet. Happy Sunday, y'all!

I totally forgot to reply on the question about the Legarde style! Unfortunately I haven't solved the problem of getting the fold to stay in place (and it seems like Legarde also just lets the scarf hang). Perhaps with this week's theme it's the week to try! Please let me know if you figure out a good way of keeping it in place.

Thanks for the bow tut’ earlier- I wondered how you had folded/attached them... ;)
I’ll attempt the fold-over both with magnets & without; unless you do some tucking in, I’m skeptical I can keep that sucker in place w/o help  ...I’ll let you know.
