They are both quite gorgeous. I love your sofa, Awillow!Hi Julide. At first glance they might seem quite similar. But the Femme has more variation with blues and greens and a touch of taupe. The MP leans more eggplant with a similar taupe (femme leans a bit more brownand MP a bit more gray) and a few highlights of camel on the phoenix. And the black of femme is true black, whereas in MP it leans a bit green. Let me know if you need more pix.View attachment 4973304View attachment 4973305View attachment 4973306

I love this scarf. I have it pink tones. I bought it because me reminded of my first trip to Paris. I now feel nostaligic given the times we live in and Jone Mitchel's song "Free Man in Paris" always come to mind when I see this scarf (change "man" to "woman")Today's scarf is a grail that I thought would be impossible to find. However, I was checking scarf sites on New Year's morning, and this beauty popped up. In my favorite dark blue colorway. I quickly did my homework and verified the seller and the photos, then asked myself if it was worth the price of three lesser used scarves? Heck, yes! I threw any New Year's resolution on holding the line on scarf purchases out the (Paris rooftop!) window and pulled the trigger. Later I checked the timestamps and this beauty was floating in the bay for only thirteen minutes before I plucked her out.
Introducing my Les Toits de Paris in dark blue for my SOTD.

Gorgeous noir-based offerings, Croisette. That little timpanist on his bedecked horse is so adorable. Such a special design that is reissued this season! And the Mors à la Conétable - wowza! From the archive

Oh, thank you, dear tns. The lipstick is nothing special. L'Oreal. The color is Mauved 140. It is pretty frosty when you first put it on, but tones down for me within 5 min. (Not sure how that happens.)ThAnK YoU So MucH:
@Cookiefiend, @MAGJES, @Langsam, @Croisette7, & @AnnaE
and all admirers trying to keep up!
Thank you! I haven’t really tracked the men’s collex, but there’s some real winners there and you wear this so well.
Beautiful selections and styling
Congrats! It plays so well with grays and looks great with your beautiful hair.
Adore this with pink - especially with the studded bracelet.
More gorgeousness! That Pavois makes me think I need a flag scarf- I don’t even know why
Sisters on Presentation & Cousins on Ferronnerie (mine’s a 90). Your choices are all so elegant
Agree. Similar to Tolkien’s Fellowship of the Ring we are the Sister(&Fella)hood of the Scarves
Another beauty awillow. Your lip color is such a pretty nude! Would you please share? I’m always searching for an ideal nude for me, buts it’s elusive.![]()
An old design with a wide black border: Costumes de Dames, bought for the pretty ladies.

Ultimate holy grail. Sounds more like a sport than a term...Please, what is UHG?
Gorgeous! and amazing on that color top.Off topic SOTD: Flowers of South Africa 01!
Not at all dark (eh, I guess there's some black in the border), but it's been sitting on my shelf for two weeks just waiting to play, and I didn't want to wait any longer!

Super excited to add this one to my ever growing 2017 collection. I'd had this one on my ebay watchlist since I first started collecting last summer, and when it went on sale I pulled the trigger.
I really liked the black background reissue of this design from last season, but I don't think a 140 silk would get much play in my collection. I also considered adding one of this season's Marche du Zambeze cws (that yellow that @Living.la.vida.fifi has is a stunner!), but since both of these Ardmore designs have borders that read similarly to me (floral with a sort of lacy overlay), I think I'll just stick with this one. Obviously the centers of the two designs are totally different, but I usually knot my scarves in such a way that the borders/corners are highlighted most. Maybe if someone has both and wants to convince me otherwise with some modshots I would change my mind![]()
