Incredibly flattered by your compliment! I like to think I’m a padawan around here, hoping to be a Jedi someday like the many wonderful jedis in this thread. Hopefully you like Star Wars and get my reference
We had a nerd week last year, Foxy (May 4th you know ). I wore many Star Wars T-shirts that week. We also have many Douglas Adams fans among the crowd and we ponder Life, the Universe and Everything in this Long Dark Tea-time of the Soul.

Oh, you own the precious LES CHATS! Lucky you!
Thank you, Croisette. After I acquired this, @Living.la.vida.fifi informed me that there was a jacquard version, which set me off on the hunt again. I hope someday to get Les Chats Persans.

Fabulous post! These pix are amazing. I had a white kitty...your neighbor's is so funny!
She is a bundle of fun. Currently, she is sitting on next door neighbour's garage roof and refusing to go home (home is the opposite neighbour). An expert runaway kitty. Some mornings, she finds her way via arcane means to my upstairs balcony and yowls till we let her in (I think she climbs the rambutan tree in the back neighbour's garden. DS thinks she crosses over the party roof from next door).

Wonderful photos, wonderful scarves, Xincinsin. And that lil white ghost.:hbeat:
He’s too adorable! What a face. Is he deaf, do you know? I believe some all-white cats can carry a gene for deafness. My ILs have a white Turkish Van that is deaf.
I think she hears all too well. She pops out from nowhere when we return from work and follows us into the house. Sometimes, when she is in a good mood, she carries on a long conversation with my son.

I just got Disney+ for Christmas and am watching The Mandalorian and the Episode Guides right now. One comment that the producers made is that there are different generations of Star Wars fans depending on which movie, or cartoon series, came out when you were a kid, and therefore which Star Wars toys you played with as a child. I finally understand that certain characters are popular because of the toys. I was married and in graduate school when the first Star Wars movie, then called “Star Wars”, came out. I have enjoyed all of the movies throughout my entire adult life, but I envy those who got to enjoy them as a child, including my own children. In 5th grade my son wore a Star Wars t-shirt to school every single day. My job was to be sure that they were washed in time.

I feel that I’m in scarf training as well and loving every minute of it.

This is the Way.
I want to love this comment 1,000 times!!! This IS the way.
I watched Star Wars as a young girl and rewatched all of them plus the new ones when Disney+ rolled out. The mandalorian is such a fresh update and some of the best episodic tv that’s been made in forever. Each is like its own movie! I have friends who have never seen any and feel the same you do, so envious they get to experience it fresh. Super cool about your son and the tv shirt. I had the lunch box and often had to have Princess Leia buns.

SOTD, not on this week’s, but View attachment 4968050View attachment 4968051last week’s topic: La Vie du Grand Nord. The polarbear and its hunter... My brooch, which is one that the indigenous people ( =samer) wear with their traditional clothes in northern Scandinavia, resembles the snowflake in the midst. I like the idea of connection between the two.
Amazing brooch! What is it made of?

I know you are not talking to me but I believe these are solje jewelry. I believe mainly made out of silver. I have earrings in solje design. I maybe completely wrong but could not help myself as I love a good jewelry chat:chatty:I forced myself into this conversation:blush:

Good morning my scarfie friends! (At least it is morning here. :P ) It's been a WONDERFUL wild things week with many truly spectacular scarfs coming out to play. And now ...it's that time again for our new theme! (Though I am certain there are many crossovers you can make use of today!)

This week we'll be delving deeeeeeep in to the color black.

24 Jan 2021 Darkest Before Dawn: Black, Grey and Dark scarves, or worn with dark colours

Black you say? What can I do with black?

In color theory, black is not the absence of color, but rather the combination of all colors at once. The color we know as black is the absorption of all the individual colors of the light spectrum as opposed to the reflection of all colors (white). Actually, color itself is made by the reflection of the one portion of the light spectrum in an object and the absorption of all the others.

And you may say "Well, that is interesting, but how are we going to get through a full week of darks and blacks?" Well, hold my beer...

My friends...let me introduce you to a favorite picture of mine. ( I made it last time we did black week. ) I give you the "black-spectrum".

Black tends to be considered the color of power, sophistication, elegance, drama, mystery and also sadness. Although I will call it moodiness here for our purposes.

Without further ado, let's gt creative with our grey and blacks this week!

Full black on black with Lucky Stripes men's cotton losange (and full mystery and drama with the McQueen t-shirt).

Sneaking in under the wire, archive pics of my two Dallets, the Equateur MT Cut and the Jungle Love Love twilly. Two of my favorite scarves because of their bright colors, in addition to the beauty of Dallet's designs.
