Karenska, I'll give you the short version!
In early 2011 my daughter was newly married and her husband was deployed to Afghanistan. I adopted a sweet little orphan Persian for her to keep her company during that difficult year. Fast forward to the early fall of 2019......Eleanor was no where to be found one morning (indoor cat). My DD's husband thought there may have been a chnace when he took out the trash
Ugh! Cliffhanger! I need to know what happened to Eleanor.

And to stay on topic: a few wild things with their real life counterparts:

Me too :). I almost messaged you to the side! I better post a scarf to be on topic!!! Ok here’s a pic lipstick no curls ! Grrrrr

Nice lipstick :) love the scarf, too

Oh man. I didn’t realize this was going to post! I backspaced everything after I started because it was going to be too long! My ipad must have saved what I started. I’ll finish quickly!

My dear SIL would get up at night at 2am for 3 weeks to hunt for Eleanor - he thought she was scared and hiding during the day. He put out fliers. He posted ads in the neighborhood FB group, etc. He received messages - lots of “sightings” but no Eleanor. Finding Eleanor consumed him.
Fast forward a month later....We decided that Eleanor had to have been rescued by someone that realized how special she was and now lived with them. (This is what we told my 2 1/2 granddaughter).
6 weeks later......My SIL decides to adopt a little kitten. Literally while picking her up he receives a call from someone that found Eleanor. A complete stranger that happened to find her hiding behind a car wash. He caught her, brought her home, feed her, searched the lost cat ads till he found my SIL’s, then drove her to my daughter’s house. This guy also refused the reward money offered.
Poor Eleanor was skin and bones but she was finally home......and is now best friends with the new kitty named “Fiona.”

I think this is on topic because she was a ‘wild” cat for a brief period!
and oh - the car wash was 10 miles away.

What a story! We have a coyote living nearby, and neighborhood cats started going missing... Mittens is an indoor-only cat, but I know many of the local cats (I often stop by to pet them when walking or going for a run; people usually have a cat’s name and address on the tag, so I know where they live, too). There is a very cute orange cat missing right now, and I really hope he has a story similar to Eleanor and comes home one day!

Ugh! Cliffhanger! I need to know what happened to Eleanor.

Jungle fowl!!! :)

It’s amazing how squirrels are so common worldwide. We have some quite plump ones eating our vegetables all summer long here...

animal prints today! First time out for this gorgeous colorway of an amazing design ( only been collecting for under a year). And believe it or not I actually had on a lovely lip color too, but got worn off w the mask ://. This is a perfect pink! I struggle w pink because I sometimes feel like it is a youthful color and I sometimes feel ridiculous in the color. But not these tones! No idea what knot this is lol. I just love the corners with the animal prints on the border and delicate flowers and wanted to highlight it all .
and twins with Lanit today I see! (don’t know how to link you

Experimented with bows this week (trying to find some not-too-floofy options). I got swept up enjoying all the lovelies shared & meant to post more pics.

Here’s Dallet’s Les Zebres ll to contribute to the theme:

those bright colours are gorgeous every time I see them, Laurenad!

Where the Wild Things Are .... in dreams.
Edouard Baribeaud (b. 1984, Versailles) has created two designs for Hermès that feature wildlife in a dream or dreamy context, Acte III La Clairiere and La Danse des Amazones.
Here is one of his dreamy works, a watercolor on paper (not intended as a scarf, as far as I know, but I sure wish it were :graucho:), titled Metamorphosis at Dawn, 2017. Can you imagine how beautiful a carré would be in this design? :hbeat:View attachment 4967300

Acte III, a depiction of Shakespeare’s masterpiece in the act of being performed. Note the highly stylized ‘lion’ played by the rustic character Snug the Joiner. The adorable donkey is the bewitched Nick Bottom, Snug’s buddy. Kind of a dream within a dream.

This wraps up this week’s theme for me (although we always squeeze in a few at the end, right? :winkiss:), and it’s been a great pleasure to host and see all your amazing and wild wildlife scarves. I have been on SOTD alot this week, but somehow I know I’ve missed some of your gifts, so a shoutout to you all :yahoo: and thank you so very much for making this an extraordinary week!

Great scarves and YES - that picture would make an awesome carré. I like Baribaud a lot.
