Please do! I’d love to hear it.
Karenska, I'll give you the short version!
In early 2011 my daughter was newly married and her husband was deployed to Afghanistan. I adopted a sweet little orphan Persian for her to keep her company during that difficult year. Fast forward to the early fall of 2019......Eleanor was no where to be found one morning (indoor cat). My DD's husband thought there may have been a chance when he took out the trash the night before that maybe Eleanor ran out.
Experimented with bows this week (trying to find some not-too-floofy options). I got swept up enjoying all the lovelies shared & meant to post more pics.

Here’s Dallet’s Les Zebres ll to contribute to the theme:

All of these are wonderful! And the way you match with outfit and lipstick...so lovely! I especially LOVE that rabbit tie, just perfection
Thank you :flowers:
Matching lipstick honestly is the extent of my makeup abilities :P

So lovely. You rock Les Zebres !!!
Awww, thnx!

Wow !!! Love them all but the zebra is my fave. Love the coordinated lipstick. Wondering if your screen name is better as lipstick and curls versus turf And surf? Hahaha pardon me it’s been a long work week in here with a free 30 mins for some scarf art and community
You’re right about the name change - lips&curls are all you see here
*when I first joined I never thought I’d be scarf posting; horses & water epitomized me... scarfing has added a new dimension. Don’t worry- I really love that we can joke with each other ;)

(I’m so glad I know the kitty story turned out alright; it kills me to think of the lost ones)

Incredibly flattered by your compliment! I like to think I’m a padawan around here, hoping to be a Jedi someday like the many wonderful jedis in this thread. Hopefully you like Star Wars and get my reference :)
I just got Disney+ for Christmas and am watching The Mandalorian and the Episode Guides right now. One comment that the producers made is that there are different generations of Star Wars fans depending on which movie, or cartoon series, came out when you were a kid, and therefore which Star Wars toys you played with as a child. I finally understand that certain characters are popular because of the toys. I was married and in graduate school when the first Star Wars movie, then called “Star Wars”, came out. I have enjoyed all of the movies throughout my entire adult life, but I envy those who got to enjoy them as a child, including my own children. In 5th grade my son wore a Star Wars t-shirt to school every single day. My job was to be sure that they were washed in time.

I feel that I’m in scarf training as well and loving every minute of it.

This is the Way.

These are all très chic, Turfnsurf, and the bows are very successful! And pretty. I love your gav and new scarf ring, too.

Oh man. I didn’t realize this was going to post! I backspaced everything after I started because it was going to be too long! My ipad must have saved what I started. I’ll finish quickly!

My dear SIL would get up at night at 2am for 3 weeks to hunt for Eleanor - he thought she was scared and hiding during the day. He put out fliers. He posted ads in the neighborhood FB group, etc. He received messages - lots of “sightings” but no Eleanor. Finding Eleanor consumed him.
Fast forward a month later....We decided that Eleanor had to have been rescued by someone that realized how special she was and now lived with them. (This is what we told my 2 1/2 granddaughter).
6 weeks later......My SIL decides to adopt a little kitten. Literally while picking her up he receives a call from someone that found Eleanor. A complete stranger that happened to find her hiding behind a car wash. He caught her, brought her home, feed her, searched the lost cat ads till he found my SIL’s, then drove her to my daughter’s house. This guy also refused the reward money offered.
Poor Eleanor was skin and bones but she was finally home......and is now best friends with the new kitty named “Fiona.”

I think this is on topic because she was a ‘wild” cat for a brief period!
and oh - the car wash was 10 miles away.
