and then my first and only pareo- Grands fonds in cotton.twins with @bunnycat who noticed it on TRR. It arrived a few days before our only trip to Hawaii this year. I actually wore it as a pareo nearly every day.

first scarf I bought during the year- March of the Zambezi. Missed out on the first release. Loved the colors in this one

Two amazing posts back to back! I am SO tempted by the blue AS - it’s just gorgeous!
And your Aloha is beautiful. I watch for this one even though I have the blue - the colors of yours are perfect.
Final purchase of 2021. I found this gem two weeks ago. It has never been worn and in a lovely neutral colorway. It was priced very fairly and it belonged to the seller’s grandmother. The design is by Monsieur Ledoux, arguably my favorite H artist (though that can fluctuate). I believe this scarf hails from 1970, so it is a vintage silk in new and perfect condition. I am thrilled and grateful to find a brand-new coveted design with a history that I will think of every time I wear it. Presentation de Chevaux in tones of ginger, gold, gray, olive-taupe, and cream. And it matches this new cashmere sweater to a T. The first two knots are tied with a new St Germain chain d’ancre in taupe mother of pearl, a treasured gift from DH.:hbeat:

Happy New Year, dear Scarfie Friends!

I'm beginning this year with a most special purchase from 2021. Les Chats became available in like-new condition with the gorgeous paw prints. Although the price was the most I've paid for a 90, I decided to pay it for this design. What delights me so was finally seeing those scarf cats in person. The artistry is magnificent and the personality of each cat is enchanting. Photos can't completely convey their charm, but I'll post them here anyways.

And, the paw prints.

They remind me of animal tracks in the snow. (Not cats. These are squirrel tracks located under our bird feeder.)

Happy New Year from the frozen North where it was -12 F this morning. SOTD is Les Chats.

Oh my, this scarf was very much meant for you! And now on my list to find...

Yes @Living.la.vida.fifi, that is my goal -- to paraphrase the poet Marge Piercy-- these beautiful things are meant to be used. And thank you so much for the good wishes and your sweet compliments-- you always put a bounce in my step :winkiss:

 -- it isn't like I don't do that ALSO @Awillow but this one I bought in the Short Hills boutique along with Kelley en Perles. My wallet learned the hard way that in-store is just as dangerous as online browsing...

Thank you dear friend.

I adore so many these-- as with all your posts! My Premier Chant arrives tomorrow and I can't wait. DD received her blue one with your write up on NYE and was thrilled as I knew she would be. But all that aside I must say that your final mod shot is so spectacular that if you were down in NOLA we would immediately bow down and crown you the Queen of our Mystik Krewe of Hermes and you would ride on the First Float Throne with a court of silk scarfed acolytes... :dothewave:

Thank you dear @Cookiefiend! I love the AS and have been circling that blue one also but...I am too new to moussies to double up. I will just have to admire it on @scarf1! I am determined to wear that Pivoines with everything-- even a denim shirt!

These cats have so much personality -- it is just astounding @Redbirdhermes! I so delight in your patent joy at having found this charmer for your collection. It looks lovely with your outfit and the paw prints are just the most charming lagniappe! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, twin! You look beautiful and I must remember how great Ivresse look tied like this @Awillow!

I just adore all your Blue (and non-blue) beauties @scarf1 and have been admiring them seriatim as they have appeared on the thread! I credit your cotton charm for my mini-BdG one I found on TRR and I keep circling that blue Astrologie, too. What a wonderful year end round-up. As a fellow blue scarf addict (I am on a diet now but regularly fall off the wagon) I just want to tag along on your shopping trips! I am sure I would just say, "I'll have what she's having."

What a lovely fond memory the brooch carries with it @Karenska. The best kind of jewelry to have and treasure.

Congratulations @Karenska! It is lovely and I know you will wear it with joy and panache with your new cda ring in 2022 and beyond. I believe we may be twins on the ring? It looks a lot like my MOP. I do enjoy that source of scarf rings-- they are so much lighter than their H counterparts! DH must have gotten the right instructions from Scarf Santa...
Thank you for your thoughts and compliments, dear Lkbnola. I think the ring us very similar to yours. Very light and kind of exquisite, which is how I remember yours. :hugs:

This is a spectacular and very lucky find, RBH. The cats are rendered so exquisitely and the paw prints jacquard is the frosting on the cake. I love how you tied it and it’s so lovely with your pendant. The seal point cat reminds me of Ms Minette, despite the fact that she is a tux.

Thank you for your all for your kind words about my last post, including LKBNOLA, Nomad, CityKitty24, Cookiefiend. May all have a wonderful, healthy, peaceful New Year! My most special grail scarf, found in 2019 by DH NWT on ebay, Mythiques Phoenix in a colorway from before I started collecting. I don't have a count of my purchases over the past year but own the title my DH gave me, Hermes Connoisseur. I haven't ever re-homed!

It’s beautiful!
Thank you Snausage. Had planned to wear it with the assymetrical knot but could not get it right and was running out of time so did this instead.

This ties so well (and is so tempting) congratulations on finding it!
Thank you dear Cookie. Must work on my knotting skills to display more of the scarf than the border:biggrin:

Ooooh, could I see a flat please???
Thank you. Will try to take a photo when we get some light here. It is dark or gloomy most of the day this time of the year.

Beautiful on you @Nahreen and how interesting to tie it this way! I must try this as I am your sister in the red/black version. The blue is so very lovely...
Happy to be your sister LKBNOLA. This was the scarf I had been waiting for at my store for 6 months. It was the last one left in Europe and my SA was lucky to get it for me. It was waiting as a surprise for me on my last visit. The tying was not deliberate, I am just so bad at it that it by chance ended up this way. Went for the assymetrical knot first but failed at that after several attempts.

Just lovely on you, Nahreen!
Thank you dear Croisette. So happy to own this one. It was my fav from the SS21 collection.

One of the most magnificent borders on a scarf ever! It is fabulous on you
Thank you so much Fifi. I agree, this scarf has an amazing border.

This is a luscious beauty and a sought after color way. I had to settle on a blue one with this design. Perhaps, it's time for CCP.
