Sorry so long!
2021 new design purchase cap up. It’s helpful to see how far down the rabbit hole one goes w brand new designs in a year :girlsigh:
1 electrique gav
2 en attendant Ulysses gavs ( 1 I thought I have worn but have no pic)
2 tea time twillys
1 bingata twilly
1 space derby ( posted already this week)
1 ex libris Atlantis (posted this week already)
1 faubourg tropicale
1 duo cosmique
4 GTN’s (posted already this week, I admit the light pink/ebene might get culled even if totally gorgeous! Don’t think I’ll wear it much bc so muted)

New Years mental mind set for 2022- I definitely have to start the mindset of one!! cw per format per season  . I returned my 2022 .com purchases. Carres volant light blue is unbelievably adorable but I Rarely wear my light blue 90’s and am on a 70’s ban as I still find them awkward w amount of silk. Also I realize it’s too hot in summer months for me to wear any silk at all, so just a twilly or gav, if I‘m lucky, or a loose moussie away from my skin. Still waiting for other colorways tho to show up, so def TBD lol. Returned my two chants. I will wait for more modeling pics of other cw’s. Trying to be more discerning w what I have already in my collection for colors. Weeded out the apricot chants because that color is well enough represented in my collection. Tho I really loved it! Freely admit, Chants might end up being the blue/brown in the end, we shall see.

My favorite design, and the most worn this year, is my avatar scarf Les Artisans d'Hermes. I own six colorways of this design, by far the most of any one design, including two that I picked up this year.

My avatar scarf in red, because red is my favorite color.

Sotd, my very first purchase of 2021. Sadly haven’t worn it
La France. I have this one and the yellow border. The feel of such vintage scarves is soooo soft and supple.

It’s so beautiful! Why do you think this is the first time wearing - is there something you don’t like? It’s a lovely scarf, and I completely agree - the vintage scarfs are so sweetly soft.
That is so constrained. Kudos! GTN with the striped blouse is beautiful.
 Thanks!
Sadly, I deserve no compliments on contrainment… as I went bananas everywhere else! I can’t help myself! :shrugs:

I commend you - you know what you like and what works!
I agree with your assessment of the lovely pale pink GTN… I had a scarf in a very similar color (and I felt the design was very similar to this, though it was an older design), and I just didn’t wear it. But - omg - the other color ways of this design are marvelous!
Is the first picture your Duo? In The black cw? If so - I will kick myself… but not too hard because it hasn‘t been on the site.

Awe thank you! It’s a process right haha.
The first picture is Electrique gav with pop gav combo. But the dark duo is pictured too Towards the bottom I think. I love it! Haven’t posted it on this thread. I have figured out that those corals/apricots/soft oranges are great colors against w my own tones.
And with La France, I think I tend to baby my vintage ones because I love them the most haha. It is SO hard to find very good-great condition La France‘s that it would be hard for me to replace w an unspeakable Incident. But wearing it today has me saying it could be a go-to/daily for me for sure. It’s so soft and feminine in its center colors and design ( spaced out toile like).
N let’s face it, too many scarves for just one neck :panic:

This year, the H fairy had mercy on me and did not create more variations of my queen of all H scarves  SOTD: one of my phoenixes.

Au Bout de Monde is such an amazing scarf - I just love it.
Thank you dear Cookie! You were the first thunderbolt for me with this design. Then @Redbirdhermes, @blydia and @laurenad and I believe @Foxy trini and I acquired the same cw very close together. I didn't stand a chance!

So very beautiful @Redbirdhermes -- I am looking for the pink cornered one for Spring as I too have been enabled by your post to want another one (2022 CCP/Add Division) :winkiss: The almond green is truly lovely.
All wonderful and sought after acquisitions. I actually sold my Etude this fall since the colors didn't work for me.
Oh, did you have this same cw @Maedi? Mine was new in box with tags but that very week there were several swirling around EBay and TRR. I took it as a sign that its time had come for me ;) I had found the gav earlier in the year but @momasaurus posted her 90 Iris and back down the rabbit hole I fell...
All amazing but must pick A Vos Crayons as my fav… That black CW is still on my wishlist… Such a fun design!
Thank you so much! I love the story behind and didn't have any Leigh Cooke designs and I love black and and and and
Probably my fav design of the Fall/Winter 2021 collection was Grand Theatre Nouveau. I could’ve easily purchased multiple CWs but stuck to just this one… for now
View attachment 5284415

A fairly recent design that I passed up on when it was reissued was Battery Park. I dithered mesmerized by various CWs I liked at the time. So when this CW suddenly became available, I hesitated no more. It will be the perfect choice to wear for Independence Day festivities
View attachment 5284417

An older classic that I’ve always adored also came my way this year: Aline Honoré’s Au Coeur de la Vie. This is the second CW I own of this design and being quite different from my first one, I quickly pounced on the opportunity.
View attachment 5284418

A design I’ve always pursued as a giant silk is Parures Precieuses. Though I must admit I had been eyeing other CWs, this one came my way and I got it… a bit hesitantly, I must admit. Well, it has become a favorite and one that I reach for often. I think I may be wearing it to a Broadway show tonight

2021 was a wonderful year for me in terms of my artist collection goals and exploring new formats AND along the way I found these four silks that had never been on my radar until I saw/fell for them on TPF. The first two were total coups de foudre the minute I saw them (Au Bout du Monde and Etude); A Vos Crayons was a lucky find that happened on a day when my black kryptonite switch had been set to the on position and Beloved India was a bit of a scavenger hunt for the right cw. They each have their origin story (which only adds to the specialness) but they immediately became beloved silks with pride of place over here...

OMG, dear Snausages, you are wowzing me . Love your CdC and Rendevouz, especially. Small formats rule! Great choices.
TY @Karenska ! I do hope @bunnycat has a double week so I can optimize my single neck…
It is just so beautiful! Congratulations @Awillow, I know you will wear it well...

Easy tricky is the perfect phrase for it! (But so great to have the tutorial for this format)

Do you have more cws @Croisette7? I can easily see wanting more as it is such a vibrant and dynamic design...

This is an amazing design on you @Redbirdhermes -- each so different! I admire your resolution, too, posting every day and planning for it...

You are so sweet @turfnsurf -- the tutorial was terrific. The contrast hem makes my plisse more like a cinnamon bun than most, I feel. I think New Orleans lends itself to more brights in my wardrobe-- must be the parade mentality! Everything's a potential costume

This jacquard detail of Neige is particularly beautiful @Croisette7.

I am so happy you are trying this format @Agrume. I love it and have now several I have acquired over the years. They are perfect for in between the gav and the 70. I am your sister on this one! I think this design works so well in this format-- almost better than the 90!
View attachment 5282953

Thank you so much @Nomad! I was thrilled to find it for all those reasons... (the pearl scarf ring was an Etsy find)

Wow @laurenad how perfect with that top! And beautifully tied...Love the "scarf soulmate" concept...

That little plisse loves a lot of different colors @Karenska-- you were not wrong about how fun that format is!

Yes, thank you so much-- of course the title is immediately evocative even though the mood is so different. But I love all things umbrella! I love the way the girl's hoop, the basket handle and the umbrella scallops play off each other in this gorgeous Renoir you have shared...

Again, thank you dear @Karenska!

Thank you so much dear Fifi-- @turfnsurf posted a wonderful tutorial (in my second mod shot) on the How-to thread. And you absolutely need this Ombrelles beauty to pair with your glorious umbrella collex! I wanted it for my NOLA connection to umbrellas and was so delighted to find it. The Watrigant artistry is quite amazing and the center is as charming as the corners.

You have added some truly outstanding feathers and "fur" to your collection! Just fabulous @Living.la.vida.fifi. That cw of ZP is gorgeous. The orange PeF was the first one I was given. I have added and changed up several other cws but always kept that one! Now I am happy I did...

Your Tyger CSGM is spectacular-- hope to see more of it! I do hope you try the bandana format. I am a big fan and there are some fab designs out there. And the last knot is a friendship knot tied fairly high up with the tails tucked/hidden in the knot. Clever of me, no?

You totally inspired me on several of these so I am happy to be Bingata and Rendevouz twins and that Electrique/Ulysses gav combo is one of my all time favorites @Snausages.
TY @LKBNOLA ! Delighted to enable :hbeat: We are scheduled to have a day of winter over the weekend…

Thank you!

Twins on a few ... love your pink Pelages moussie!

All so pretty, Snausages!
TY @Croisette7 !
Thank you so much, Croisette!

What an uplifting scarf, congratulations, LKBNOLA!

Thank you kindly, Nomad!

you look great and everything perfectly fits, Laurenad! (and hi, twin!)

What a lovely brooch to accompany your scarf, Karenska!

thank you, Fifi, and yes, do try this!

Wonderful scarf parade, and twins on the PeF (my brightest scarf)!

Thank you so much, Snausages!

Love your RV, and the Bingata twilly is the one for which I might start with twillies...

Thank you so much, LKBNOLA - and happy to see your cw!
TY @Agrume ! I wound up with the original and the dog ‘sticker’ version (another plea to @bunnycat for a doubles week )
All amazing designs and truly truly the best CWs… Love the way you’ve tied them all. I especially love the Electrique and Ulysse gavs tied together
TY @Living.la.vida.fifi ! One of my 2022 resolutions is to try more complex knots with the smaller formats
While I added a whole lotta 90s to my collection-- new and CCP-- I really enjoyed exploring other formats. This turned out to be one of my very very favorites-- 140 wash silk. I now have two designs that spark 100% joy whenever I wear them (or even just look at them!) The wash makes them very easy to work with and feels a bit less intimidating than the silk twill. I will be sad if they eliminate the wash option for these larger silks. Kelly en Perles and Le Pegase d'Hermes (with thanks to @MAGJES for the knot tutorial!)

Another new format that I discovered this year was the mousseline stole. Right after finding this purple La Voie Lactee moussie for a song, I stumbled into the yellow/orange CW and couldn’t resist. I have fallen in love with this format

awe those camouflage scarves are so great! That orange one speaks to me. You do brights so well fifi. Those reds and pinks, wow.

Some of my favorite looks on you snausages! That rendezvous vous looks amazing in your tie, the icy blues and greys are shimmering

Wow! hard to believe the first is a 140, a great corralling tie, and the tie look on Pegasus :faint:. did she do a tut in that thread ( can’t remember)? Because that looks amazing!

YES grails!!! I do not really know the first so will look it up, but it shimmers and shines amazingly.

great post! love seeing all the looks.

Oh I wish I had the SE!! Mine is the regular one but totally agree they both have similar colors for sure. I think even our jaguars are the same color. Looks great with that green top!
Ty @Nomad :hbeat:
Not a grail, but a pretty bargain (relatively speaking) I found last year. Etriers.View attachment 5283282
Bargains always elevate a scarf on the favorite list!
Hooray for breaking a dry spell, snausages. That Quatre Chevaux is especially sweet. ❤
TY @Awillow ! I follow the artist on Instagram and his paintings are wild
Like @Awillow , I have been on the lookout for La Rosée changeante ;), enabled by @bunnycat and @Cookiefiend. Thank you, ladies ! It finally appeared on TRR and I purchased it as soon as I saw it because it is my grail. All I know is that it comes from Arizona. But I was temporarily disappointed when it was delivered because the smell was a bit unpleasant and I discovered two brown stains which weren't mentioned in TRR listing. So I summoned up my courage and gave it a good wash. The brown stains are still there but the smell has disappeared. I didn't send it back because the hunt was so long !!! and the import fees were scary ! I wonder why they vary from 20 to 33%, since I still live in the same country with the same commercial laws. I suppose carriers levy different taxes... But here it is, and I am happy !:yahoo:
OMG when I saw that on TRR I was hoping it would get the appreciative home it deserved! It’s divine!
Ac5ual SOTD and my most recent purchase Danse pacific in pretty pastelsView attachment 5283346
Those soft colors are beautiful!
Hello everyone!

I am new to TPF but not to Hermes scarves. Here is my scarf of the day, Les Leopards in the Rose/blue CW.

View attachment 5283752
Welcome! That colorway is so pretty!
This is my only 140 cm but as soon as I saw it (actually my husband pointed to it as we entered) I had to have. Panthera Pardus is shades of purple with a large cat so one of my forever silksView attachment 5283808.
Those purples are gorgeous!
We are travelling for New Year‘s Eve, so I only took a very limited selection of scarves along. But one of my favourite scarves I found this year had to come along: Au coin du feu. As it happens, the place we‘re in does have a fireplace, so it is a SOS and not only the SOTD. I knotted it in a friendship knot in acknowledgement of all the friendship I find here! Plus a little companion with a matching design!

You had me at Nutella
2021 was a wonderful year for me in terms of my artist collection goals and exploring new formats AND along the way I found these four silks that had never been on my radar until I saw/fell for them on TPF. The first two were total coups de foudre the minute I saw them (Au Bout du Monde and Etude); A Vos Crayons was a lucky find that happened on a day when my black kryptonite switch had been set to the on position and Beloved India was a bit of a scavenger hunt for the right cw. They each have their origin story (which only adds to the specialness) but they immediately became beloved silks with pride of place over here...

This year, the H fairy had mercy on me and did not create more variations of my queen of all H scarves  SOTD: one of my phoenixes.

Wowzers! I’ve never seen this colorway - it’s a stunner!
Not from last year. But the year before. Coup de Fouet. View attachment 5284158
Beautifully rich colors!
My favorite design, and the most worn this year, is my avatar scarf Les Artisans d'Hermes. I own six colorways of this design, by far the most of any one design, including two that I picked up this year.

My avatar scarf in red, because red is my favorite color.

View attachment 5283615

The ever popular blue.

View attachment 5283617

The rose vif was purchased this year.

View attachment 5283618

The rose pale is probably the closest to the artist's original painting and is a favorite for that reason. The colors of the details here are amazing.

View attachment 5283619

The orange, which I first wore during orange week this year. It is a very bold orange.

View attachment 5283620

And, the green, which I purchased this fall after some of you were wondering why I didn't own even more colorways. After reviewing the colors I was missing, I picked this green up on the secondary market.

View attachment 5283621

My Les Artisans scarf collection is complete. I do own a couple of the artist's books, which are so interesting because you can see elements of the scarf in his other work.

This design knots spectacularly!

View attachment 5284419

When a dear scarfie friend made this wondrous Quintessence moussie available, I immediately knew I wanted it. I did not own any changeant giant mousselines as the Voi Lactee moussie changeants I had purchased earlier were actually stoles. So I am thrilled to own this dramatic beauty
View attachment 5284421

Finally, my second plisse of the year: Tohu Bohu in the most striking colors. I am now defermined to master the art of tying these fascinating silks

What a lovely post @xincinsin! It is always a delight to spot one of your Phoenixes in flight among our silks and I can't wait to see what you bought!

Oh, my goodness! This could not be a more beautiful purple/lavender combination and just made for your necklace! Congratulations @Croisette7. What a way to end the year. Better than fireworks!

Wow this is such a moody and mysterious beauty and looks amazing on you @Awillow!

I agree also with @SusisAugusta's appreciative comments: Reposting here with applause :clap:and thanks to @turfnsurf, too!
"I‘d also like to thank all scarf mistresses for their wonderful, enlightening, fun hosting plus all TPFers who participate here. I have learned so much since joining and have found a new appreciation for my H-scarves. I had joy and fun during a difficult year! I am looking forward to the new year with all of you and your wonderful silks!"

Thank you so much! I love the story behind and didn't have any Leigh Cooke designs and I love black and and and and

These are amazing. Your Quintessence is heart stoppingly beautiful and Tohu Bohu in a plisse is truly psychedelic! I have always admired your white Au Coeur de la Vie. And thrilled to be your GTN twin @Living.la.vida.fifi.

Thank you @monteverdi! I do love it very much and feel so lucky my hunt was successful.

Very interesting and informative post. I am twins with you on so many of these-- probably we were drinking the same kool aid on the seasonal threads  In all seriousness, you have added some wonderful silks! A lot of variety in design and color that suits you well.

TIA with @Cookiefiend on your knowing what works and what you like! :flowers:

Tying moussies gives a different result everytime… but I think I did a bias-ish fold and tied it close to my neck - I think? :giggle:
wonderful additions! Particularly etude and monde. Love those!

swooning! This is so moody I love it. That copper color, wow. Is it a changeant or no?
