In 2021 I added many firsts for artists to my collection. (There were several scarves I acquired where this was their first design for Hermes so I won’t count those artists.)
My first Ugo Bienvenu w Space Derby.( I think he just has two designs)
My first Jan Bajtlik animapolis
My first Kermit Oliver w pony express.
My first Ugo Gattoni w Grand Prix maxi and Atlantis
My first(s) of Gianpaolo Pagni w 4 GTN’s and 1 jeu de omnibus remix Gav.

All wonderful additions! And thanks for sharing your process. Love hearing it from other scarfies. I have no idea how you found the strength in decreasing any Shirley, you deserve an award!! And your apaloosa colors are wow amazingWith no disrespect to Alice Shirley or her fans, of which I am one, I feel she was over-represented in my collection so 2021 was a year of adjustment. I had several Mountain Zebras and ended up keeping only a bright yellow/orange (DH's favorite one!) I kept only the light pink Into the Canadian Wild and gifted my red hemmed one to DD. I had two Zebra Pegasus 90s plus a maxi twilly and ended up keeping (again) the brighter 90 and adding a new format, a soft blue giant triangleI also was delighted to add Appaloosa des Steppes-- a design I originally shunned because of the eye. I thought I would absolutely have to have a DuJA in my collection, but am content with my Esprit de la Foret. I also adore my Three Graces Zoom gav. My Shirley collex feels done, though I would not say no to a ZP moussie if it insisted on following me home!

My rule for twillies, rarely broken, is to buy designs which are unique, not available in other formats, or designs which were adjusted to fit the confines of the twilly format. I broke my rule for this twilly because I really like @Karenska's Kuna twilly and I wanted a bright and happy twilly too.

-- I may not have shared the story. A dear older friend has several Noels and she "loans" me this one because she is just not ready to officially let the adoption go forward. It has lived in my house for years, though! I yearn for the black one that @momasaurus has but this blue is right in my wheelhouse (and the blue and white scene works for Hannukah too!)
Yes, thank you @Awillow. It is a good collecting rubric that I depart from as needed but it helps! This year I am focusing on completing Pierre Marie and adding some Virginie Jamin colors and designs to the three I own. Rybalchenko is also on the list plus two Holy Grails and three Petite Grails. Plus the new seasons and lucky finds and the ones I fall in love with from this thread etc etc...You see the futility of plans already...

Team Scarf Mistress is putting the final touches and clean up on the upcoming calendar and I will be posting the impending 2022 thread soon!
But, for now, here's a little sneak peek at the beginning of January theme so you have some time to plan. Once I've crafted my (generally, not so) eloquent opening, I'll hash out more about the over-all theme for 2022 which, as always, we try to optimize for maximum ease of participation.

This is such a pretty twilly, Xincinsin, and one that would make the grade for me. It looks adorable with your CCdL. I, too, am very selective with twillies and have a couple that no longer work because they are just not what I look for in twillies now, which is great pops of color and designs that stand on their own in that small strip format. Thank you for the compliment on my Kuna Peuple twilly; as many of you may remember, it’s my favorite twilly. Here’s another favorite, purchased this year from Fashionphile for a very decent price.
