ahhhhhh I am sitting back and enjoying this so much! Love them all.

love love love love. Amazing! I would do the exact same thing. Such a versatile design.

@Croisette7 I fully agree here. I envision a cabinet like in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Climb in and behind the wardrobe is your land of scarves!!!

I love seeing and reading your process! Great job knowing your fine tastes and sticking to it.

agree. Love this design a lot! Great colorways.

This is my favorite colorway I hunt for!
Oh, I do hope you find one, dear Nomad.

My latest multiple: Duo Cosmique. TBH, I wasn't planning on buying this design as I wasn't inspired by the early stock images. Then I saw the mod shots and decided to ask my dear SA to hold a couple of cws for me to see IRL. I ended up buying both as the vibe was completely different.
View attachment 5227115
Oh Xincinsin these are faab. Love tge blue, especially.

I love them both, RBH, and the one with olive green looks lovely with your new top. I am always tempted to add another cw, too. I only own one but I love both your cws and I adore the one that is yellow and cornflower blue.
View attachment 5226534
Well I believe this very photo (or similar) is the reason I now own this cw @Karenska! So happy you enabled me, twin.
I also wanted to love that red FoSA but wasn't ever sure about it.

Actual SotD is Carre Kantha shawl, one of my most worn scarves. Unfortunately, I don't think my CSGMs will get as much use now that we've moved to LA, but it's a rare damp and cool morning, so I took the chance to pull one out!
Not a duplicate, but I would happily pick up this one in a 90 if the right cw came along at the right price.
Ah, @labelo what a beauty on you! I just acquired my first CSGM and in winter I live in New Orleans so also not a cold climate except indoors! Where the a/c is freezing at all times. I bet you will reach for them more than you think...
SOTD was Dans un Jardin Anglais. I kept looking for one, found the red cw for a very good price and shortly thereafter the blue one which I was really looking for (and then the corresponding bracelet popped up).

No CCP for those ones...

Keepers for sure @Agrume! Gorgeous on you. They must have pride of place in your closet...

This is gorgeous and so bright and happy. Your bracelet and jacket and shawl combination come with a smile guarantee @Croisette7 -- who could possibly not be uplifted?
Fantastic!
I used to use a free app called GlamOutfit & one OS update it was no longer supported for iPhone; I was distraught! I had spent SO MUCH time photographing/ uploading/ removing backgrounds & inputting details (price, size, category, etc.) of my sizable wardrobe -including scarves- and had lost it all. I’m finally to a place to begin again & was thinking about StyleBook just the other day...your post will be so helpful!

Here’s my SOTD, Presentation, to be on topic:View attachment 5226694
Just beautiful and perfect on you, turf!
I’ve had several colorways of Texas Wildlife but to keep the scarf drawer from becoming a scarf house I’ve culled down to only two.
When @turfnsurf posted different knots to highlight different parts of scarves, I played around to highlight a corner.
View attachment 5226696
And I was chuckling because a friend taught me I can wear scarves as subliminal messages. So this corner is for when I am spending time with those I wish to turn my behind to. I particularly like the sneer on the ram’s face as it makes aggressive eye contact

View attachment 5226697
I can't love this post too much! Both for the beautiful scarfs -- I adore the yellow and you know I am a "blue" girl--and the hilarious idea of scarf-as-message. I would be smirking just like the ram all day too @Snausages...
Yesterday’s double was Amazone - my best example of H Math :giggle:
View attachment 5226700
Today though, I’m wearing Flamingo Party Tatouge!
View attachment 5226702
This is an archive photo of my first FP - I love this cw ❤
View attachment 5226701
Well, the colors in your Amazone are TDF, your red outfit is TDF and I am your twin on the last, which to me is also TDF, so I am in need of smelling salts @Cookiefiend :faint:
Amazing! Love them both! No ccp needed for these two beauties.

@Agrume and @LKBNOLA I am right there with you! I feel I am nearing the end of collecting minus a handful of grails at this point. I am NOW able to finally say ’no’ to scarves on the market, a lot of ‘no’s’. I am actually impressed with myself haha. I say “grail or no” to myself:blush:. I am in the ‘nola ccp process’ combined with the ‘ @blydia ruthless culling’ at this point in my collection. I have a dozen plus on the chopping block!! I will harness the power from fellow tpf’ers To cull while struggling with the beautiful modeling shots of scarves lol
"Say Grail or Say No" is my new @Nomad-inspired mantra...Enough with the lucky finds and good deals and why nots, right? This daily dose of TPF is killer that way...
Thank you :flowers:
As you’re the Queen of color ways :queen: I’m happy to share a ‘new’ one.

There are so many great cw’s of this, but I ‘had to have’ one with dun-colored center horses. Green & tan is such a classic equestrian combo that when I spied this it was kismet.
Here it is flat...
View attachment 5226739
Of all the beautiful Presentations that have paraded in fabulous mod shots, this one really made my heart sing @turfnsurf -- those greens and tans are perfection together. You have such a great eye and style sense for these lovelies...
They are both lovely... I wish you good luck...
(which are you leaning towards?)
Thank you @Cookiefiend! In all seriousness, they are both very close and both very lovely but as I already have more red/purple scarfs (including a red MZ) and a black Selle des Steppes with a graphic red and blue border I am leaning pink. Also I have many more with black hems and IRL the yellow hem on Appaloosa 04 is really eye-catching...tough call but it is clearly an "or" and not an "and" dilemma...which has been interesting all by itself from a collecting perspective.
I really like Appaloosa, but I went back to check the colorways, and yours have a color pallet that is closely related with lots of purples, pinks and grays. I like the one with the red/white triangle border on you, but then, I really like red. It will be interesting to see which you decide to keep.
Thank you! Surprisingly hard decision @Redbirdhermes!
Keep the first of for no other reason than we can twin!
Duly noted dear @Snausages. We could watch our Appaloosas run off into a yellow-hemmed sunset...
Loved your post. I am the same about being a ruthless rehomer. If there is a color in the scarf that bothers me, I just won't wear it. Some have been grails, and when I get them, I discover the hiding yuck color. Sometimes, all the pics that are posted posted minimize the problem spots through creative tying. Sometimes the yuck color doesn't look yucky when you see flat pics. Then there is the it looks fine on the counter, but looks yuck on me. @momasaurus said "you don't really know how something is going to work until you live with it." Truer words were never spoken. But just because you lived with it, doesn't mean it is a life time commitment. Here is to setting them free to find their rightful owner.
Hah, @Cordeliere you are so right and I aspire to being a bit more ruthless. I feel I have some in foster care now, waiting for their forever home...
Today I’m wearing Couvertures et Tenues du Jour by Jacques Eudel in the giant silk format.
View attachment 5226959

I also bought two twillies in this design, one for myself and one for my daughter.

I try not to buy different colors of the same scarf. Instead, I painstakingly pick the color that (in my opinion) best showcases the design, and best compliments my complexion. If a scarf doesn’t meet both criteria, I usually sacrifice the latter in favor of the former. For example, this scarf also came in a gorgeous soft pink colorway that was perfect for me, however, all the horses and their attire were in shades of pink. The lack of contrast and color variety in a design that’s all about the colorful outfits of the horses made me gravitate towards this purple one which truly brings out the different outfits, although the color is a bit too strong for me. I keep saying in the future I will choose whatever looks best on me, but I keep choosing what is best for the design.

What draws me to a scarf is always the design. I am in love with the older designs. My scarf collection is made up almost entirely of reissues of older designs that came out in the last 8-9 years. At the beginning of each season, I examine the reissued scarves, and if they are aesthetically pleasing to me, and if the story behind them is interesting, then I determine the color I am going to buy. In the past I have fallen for a scarf while browsing in the store, bought it and brought it home, only to return it the next day after reading about a sad element in its story.

I’m attracted to every one of Henri d’Origny’s designs, and in general, to scarves by French designers. I feel like the French are simply masterful in their story-telling through artistry. As regards themes, I would say the themes I love are the ones that have in common that old-world Hermes charm.

I really enjoy reading all of your stories, and wish I had more time to write comments. It would be so practical if there was a comment box for each post directly under the like button. The current system requires a lot of going back and forth, and one simply gives up when things are busy. A more user-friendly update would encourage greater participation.
Thank you for sharing your aesthetic @Kelly Star-- it is always so interesting to learn what collectors gravitate towards and why...As one who only recently figured out multi-quote (thank heavens it is a pass/fail grade!) I now have a bit of a system that works...
Some of my multiples. I couldn't add more photos in this post, so I will add them in another one (and also have to photograph some that I didn't have archive photos of).

@Naessi, you have a wonderful classic collection and always worn and styled to perfection. Ishare your love for some of these: twins on the blue Bassets and sisters on Pavois and Napoleon. I would love to add Grand Tenue-- there was recently a wash version issued, I think...
I am interested in what you decide to keep:flowers:
Me too @Julide ! I keep changing my mind but I will "reveal" in a few days. Y'all have been so kind and helpful...
Wonderful photos! I am also happy to hear how your collections are formed and culled, nothing like understanding how a curated scarf collection is done from many collectors points of view:flowers:

On to my next multiple. I do love this design and when it came out I was all a:panic:flutter:panic:Sadly I missed Dans un Jardin Anglais as I was busy on the hunt for this. Tapis Persan, wonderful elements of Persian carpets and drawings. I have a couple of framed book pages that remind me of this design every time I see them. Many apologies for my poor staging skills, I forgot to take the tea cloth off that I store them in:blush:View attachment 5227072
All so so glorious @Julide -- many beauties nestled side by side on your lovely tea towel. That gold one with pink is TDF but then, they all are swoon worthy. Another amazing collection feat :flowers: I agree that it helps to hear other collectors' logic and strategies, too.

Both are gorgeous. Congratulations @xincinsin! I bought two also (the light and dark blues) and also find the vive quite different though not as dramatic as the two blacks...
Perhaps the way you've tied it, but if pushed to chose I’d say the first would be the keeper, although both really suit you and you would get wear out of either!
Thank you @paula24jen -- you would most definitely rock the red cw!
Both are beautiful, LKBNOLA! I would find it difficult to decide (and I am just starting to appreciate this design).
they are so different and both great scarves! I put on mine, too, today, as I have 2 versions as well. Will try to post a photo later.
It took me awhile to come around to the Appaloosa also, @Agrume but it is a fun combination of colors, prints and border (and I know you are not an animal print person)! Can't wait to see your Duo Cosmiques. I think we are blue moyenne twins!

Stunning!
I should have waited and added this post to my last - derp! None the less, these are beautiful!

They're all gorgeous - I love that cw of The Three Graces.

Amazing! You have unerringly made the best choices for you!

Wow! Both are wonderful, love this jacquard!

What a fabulous pattern pairing - FANTASTIC!

The perfect stripe of green!

It‘s gorgeous!

Absolutely stunning in this format, cw & your styling
Thank you so much!

One Appaloosa, two appaloosas... I went from none to two but only one will stay. The scarf is so fun and dramatic to wear and I wrestle with which to keep. I do love Alice Shirley but she is already extremely well represented in my collex and I don't feel enough Appaloosa love to double up...
