Congratulations on your blue beauties! You know it's right when you can't hit the button fast enough!
thank
s! Absolutely right!
That SGV is such a magical wonderland, Bunny! The marble silk is a precious wonder, and I love how you style your pareos and made me go there this year! Zambeze is fab on you, of course

So glad you found one as this design is so delightful! One of my fav travel scarves as it livens up any outfit. This is a lovely CW

All so beautiful and wearable, and look amazing on you... The Della Cavalleria is a dream and this CW of Foret is spectacular

Twins with you on the Flamingo Party for which I searched far and wide in this CW... The other two remain on my wishlist... So amazing!

I love this design and am your scarf cousin... It ties beautifully and is the perfect silk to take on a trip to Paris!

Both are great and i love this CW of the Early America, which I have in the 90 twill version

What a year so far! You have found the most wonderful silks! And, all were made for you!

You have chosen well... they are all spectacular

Lucky you! Especially with this delicious Offrandes that I wish to find

Amazing on you! I remember how we all so quickly fulfilled our Zambeze dreams the minute they became available on the website!

It is truly a great knot and fabulous with this one

So happy you found it as it is marvelous on you... and on your chapeau! Great idea for the warmer days

Breathtaking selections! All well-deserving to be in your fabulous tansu... Those special editions are treasures. The Jardins Anglais is a dream for me... And, the same thing happened to me with this particular CW of FOSA which I was fortunately able to find long after when no longer available... It is fantastic!
thank you!
Three other silks to enter my collection this year...
The first scarf I purchased from the Spring/Summer 2020 collection was Plumes en Fête in the white and multicolor CW, but almost immediately after I bought it, I realized that I wanted the orange CW, but I got sidetracked with other scarves, then Covid lockdowns struck and orange Plumes went to the back burner... Then, this year, I decided I had to act fast or I would lose it forever. As major FOMO hit me, my SA was luckily able to locate one for me in March
View attachment 5123749

And, now for some Sales Goggles finds beginning with Au Coeur de la Vie in this wonderful pearly CW which I always admired. When it turned up in wonderful condition in the mid-$300s, I had to pounce
View attachment 5123750

Though I own two great CWs of Tous les Bateaux du Monde, I always adored the cobalt blue. At exactly $100 less than current regular retail, I just couldn’t pass it up. An unheard of price nowadays for this design

Beautiful! Twins on the plumes and what an amazing price on the couer. That is my favorite color way of that design!

I haven't had many FOMO or bargains so far this year, but I did have a few Must-buys.

The one I'm showing now is a grail that I pursued for 5.5 years. In Jan 2016, our previous Scarf Mistress @ABQ2ATL showed CLF twisted in a tie with Printemps Ete.
ABQ2ATL_CLF and PEAH.jpg
I loved the Death & The Maiden vibe. I have the CLF and I've been looking for the red cw of Printemps Ete ever since. It was always too expensive or, if a bargain, I missed it. Recently, I saw it at a bargain price again, but the seller strangely only shows 2 photos of every scarf in their listings: a tied version and a one-eighth sliver. Before I could enquire further, it was snapped up by a braver soul than me. I finally found my red Printemps Ete last week in my own backyard - at a consignment store that I've never walked into before, but which happened to list the scarf online. It wasn't a bargain, but it wasn't atrociously priced either, a hair less than current retail for a 70cm. Now I can finally try to do my own Death and the Maiden!
PicsArt_06-30-10.15.02.jpg

Who am I but the most devoted bargain hunter

Chapeau! (which I posted last week as well) was a “that’s too cheap, no way the final price is gonna be that low” unexpected ebay auction win. I normally would be quite skeptical at such low price but the scarf was from a trusted Japanese seller so I took the plunge, put in my max bid and went to bed. Woke up the proud winner haha

Early America, enabled by dear @turfnsurf was another bargain. I’ve been eyeing a 90 pink Early America but the price for that particular scarf is quite high. So when this little moussie gav popped up, half the size but less than half the price, clearly it was a great deal. H Math at its finest

View attachment 5123378:P

I’m living vicariously through you @Thelittlefoxes. Venice is beautiful as always and I hope to be able to go back there one day
:noworry:
Congrats on your Chapeau
& the adorable, sunny EA. :sunshine:

Mucho congrats on your Au Coeur de la Vie - it’s such a beauty! But - your blue Tous les Bateaux du Monde blows me way especially against this yellow top!

So many FOMO silks to ogle and catch up! I think this theme suits so many of us scarfies. Here are a few of mine to share.

Beverly Hills moussline- this became available at the summer sales, but I missed out on this preferred colorway in orange and purple. My dear friend was willing to release hers to me so I am thrilled to have it in my ever expanding mousseline collection.
View attachment 5123634

While SIP, plenty of time to find some wonderful past season silks that I missed out on:

Zebra Pegasus mousseline which disappeared from our store before I could take the leap when first issued and then came available on a reseller site early in the pandemic when no one was lookong for scarves lol…

View attachment 5123637

Flowers of South Africa - mulling over and being on a ban when it was issued, then realizing I really loved the design and colorway several years later….

Yet another beautiful mousse by Alice Shirley that a dear friend knew I was searching for and offered hers to me ( what great scarf friends I have!)

Jardins Anglais

OK here is where OBSESSIVE FOMO comes into play. I could not pass up on SE Wild Singapore or Animopolis, especially when they fund a good cause. Just tell me its a fundraiser and I will seek a scarf maybe to the ends of the earth, and I am totally grateful to my dear scarfie friends here in TPF who so kindly attained and shipped them to me. Thank you, dear gal pals for these two amazing silks for my tansu!

Gggrrrrrrreat colors at play here!
(and word play :giggle:)
Thank you!
Haha! Perfect! The bright pink was my favorite of these.

Thank you moma! This is the regular silk. In a 90 size, the extra $$ of a wash scarf would be a waste on me, as I would starch the absolute s**t out of it. I like the 90 size to have a lot of body and am beginning to notice I get "tired" of them once they start to droop. So I have taken to adding sizing when the new ones start to soften to keep them on my radar longer. The one 90 size I prefer softer is the 1958 Phaeton.

Congrats on these fab finds!

Your color choices are stupendous Pirula!

Love your wonderful red Hola Flamenca!

That Offrandes- so stunning!!!

The hem is perfection on this scarf and with your shirt!
Thanks, bunny. If you like scarves with body, the wash silks are definitely not for you. (Also seriously - why do they cost more? LOL)
thank you! And love your cute gav!

These are all so amazing on you! And yeah for being twins on the voyage de P
That gav is so handy!

Today we’ll go into FOMO - briefly touched upon by our dear @Pirula

FOMO = Fear of missing out - or obsessively checking H.com for THAT scarf. I have 3 examples of that!
Madras Ex Libris

Tropique Faubourg

L’Art du Sarasa

Then there’s FOMOA = Fear of missing out AGAIN
For me that’s (to keep this post manageable :giggle:) Ex Libris en Kimonos

Cache Cache Fleuri
View attachment 5122531
Lastly (though you know I can come up with more!) there’s FOMOFSIS
Or Fear of missing out FOREVER, so I settled…
For me that’s the elusive pink Kachinas… so I settled with for the Maxi Twilly!
View attachment 5122532
Will post my SOTD later, as I’m out and about with my sweet pea❤
All so lovely, Cookie, and I adore the Kachinas pink in an MT! I almost bought it myself once, but I have two
Kachinas geant Ts, so I stood firm.
When this GT came up for sale on eBay for a very decent price, I hit By Now so fast it made me spin :giggle:. Brand new with detached laminated tag, I couldn’t believe my good fortune. It remains one of my very favorite scarves and formats.

Twins with Madras EL and I love it. This was a really good deal so after conferring with you on a couple of madras-moussie points, I had to have it. It’s like wearing a little cloud.

A quick post for Tuesday - one an unbelievable bargain (sales goggles!), and one ZOMG I Must Find That - courtesy of @Agrume!
I was poking around, randomly searching, when I found an incredible bargain - Jeu de Soie - so of course I bought it!
View attachment 5123463
This next scarf, I was reading SOTD post when Agrume posted this astonishingly beautiful green scarf. :faint: Off I raced to see if I could find one - and holy moly there it was!
Offrandes d’un Jour

Both of these were BIN, and in the same month!
Oh, @Cookiefiend these are both so amazing and what finds. Especially the gorgeous green Offrandes on that perfect pistachio colored top.
This is just beautiful. And beautiful on you.
Hierarchies! Thank you!
I’ve not even posted my impulse buys yet!
Well, I cannot wait to see your impulse buys @Pirula! And thank you. My Flamenca thanks you, too!
Love your wonderful red Hola Flamenca!
Thank you @bunnycat! I took Flamenco as a girl so this scarf design (and polka dot dress) spoke to me!
Oh you look so pretty, LKBNOLA! Is this EU or Animapolis?
Thank you @Karenska! This is my Come-lately Animapolis, which is turning into a fan favorite at my house.
So pretty! I must seek out the details of this knot. It’s different and far nicer than what I do sometimes.

Here’s my SOTD. Just how I wore it too cuz it’s 95F here today. One of my impulse purchases this year. I blame @Joannadyne. But I love it sooooo much.

View attachment 5123568
I love this look @Pirula! You were my inspo for pouncing on my blue cw of this design when I saw it hiding on Poshmark. If you are on Instagram, Mai Tai has posted the video for the knot there.
Love how you tied the flamenco scarf! Of course loving all those blue scarves!
Thank you @scarf1! I tried to show her face a tiny bit in the one and the other is the chemisier knot of Mai Tai. And, of course, blue!!!!

Thank you, @Cookiefiend. Another one of my missed it but catching up better late than never silks (which is most of them!)
Twins with you on the Flamingo Party for which I searched far and wide in this CW... The other two remain on my wishlist... So amazing!

You have chosen well... they are all spectacular

It is truly a great knot and fabulous with this one
Well, thank you so much @Living.la.vida.fifi! You and @Cookiefiend put that Flamingo Party cw on my radar! I feel very lucky to have found it (in Australia!!!). And thank you for your compliments on my "lucky finds". I am trying to treat my collection like an anthology-- curating pieces that have artistic merit, that will endure, that have pleasing designs and that bring me joy. But there is always room for an unexpected delight, which all of these are.
Three other silks to enter my collection this year...

Well, I forgot, until @Pirula and @momasaurus posted gavs, that I bought a few impulse cuties, too! But in H Math, aren't gavs a bit like a rounding error (not at reseller insane prices, but...)? Here are two together; a total impulse search after seeing Momasaurus' beautiful 90 and an Evil Bay "make an offer" at bedtime that I woke up owning. So happy to have both. I think they like each other!!
