Great post, Lkbnola, and a very stylish pairing. I love pairing gavs. Here are two I had to have, both were impulse buys because they were such good deals - H math rounding error logic, for sure. It’s insane what some reseller sites now want for this cw of Pegase Pop. These two are good friends, too . With Sangles. Doesn’t this cw of PP remind you of fruity LifeSavers?

These combinations are wonderful, Kareska! We are twins on the Pique Fleuri de Provence gavroche and yet I had to do a double take to see the Tapis Persans gavroche - they almost look like one scarf!

Coupons Indiens looks marvellous with your hair and you really make me consider Pelages et Camouflage even though I usually don‘t like animal prints on me. The border on Voyage de Pythéas is great, the mosaic design is very special!

I adore the size of the bandana, but since I have been collecting, the colors that I can find have not been all that varied. I am constantly looking for bandanas in colors other than black, navy blue or red. So I keep my eyes open for these. A few weeks ago a reseller put an alert on my IG feed for a couple of pretty bandanas in turquoise and pink. They were new scarves, and the price was amazingly great. I purchased them immediately. Later the seller contacted me and said she had woken up the next morning intending the raise the price, as she had slept on it and decided it was too low, but they were already sold. I guess knowing my H Math worked for me here. I send my thanks to the lovely lady who collects these most interesting Hermes scarves for us to enjoy and purchase.

Introducing my turquoise Peuple du Vent bandana today. This was a nice find. Pearl freshwater pendant is from Kojima Pearl.

My Carré Kantha was a real bargain for 150 Euros! I wasn‘t even sure if I would like the all pink cw but it was just too good a price not to buy it. I had seen it on MaiTai’s Blog and always liked it on her. Then I had found it on a reseller site - for 999 Dollars and it actually got sold! Now I‘m glad I bought it because I like the colours a lot.

Ahhhhh bateaux looks amazing on you! I bought this exact one and returned it . I thought I was doing the right thing ( for my wallet and wallet alone apparently because I want it right now! ) by NOT buying this as a place holder of a magnificent design, and to just wait for my perfect colorway to come my way. hurumph. I haven't had many FOMO or bargains so far this year, but I did have a few Must-buys.

The one I'm showing now is a grail that I pursued for 5.5 years. In Jan 2016, our previous Scarf Mistress @ABQ2ATL showed CLF twisted in a tie with Printemps Ete.

I loved the Death & The Maiden vibe. I have the CLF and I've been looking for the red cw of Printemps Ete ever since. It was always too expensive or, if a bargain, I missed it. Recently, I saw it at a bargain price again, but the seller strangely only shows 2 photos of every scarf in their listings: a tied version and a one-eighth sliver. Before I could enquire further, it was snapped up by a braver soul than me. I finally found my red Printemps Ete last week in my own backyard - at a consignment store that I've never walked into before, but which happened to list the scarf online. It wasn't a bargain, but it wasn't atrociously priced either, a hair less than current retail for a 70cm. Now I can finally try to do my own Death and the Maiden!

When I posted my C’est la Fête last year, I couldn’t help but to to also do a little Death and the Maiden montage with a Victorian vulcanite pendant featuring a pensive maiden in high relief

It is marvelous! I did get the caramel/red CW for my mom (which I borrow), but this would’ve been a perfect one for me… Perhaps I should pursue it… Looks so amazing on you every which way you’ve styled it!

All so lovely, Cookie, and I adore the Kachinas pink in an MT! I almost bought it myself once, but I have two
Kachinas geant Ts, so I stood firm.
When this GT came up for sale on eBay for a very decent price, I hit By Now so fast it made me spin . Brand new with detached laminated tag, I couldn’t believe my good fortune. It remains one of my very favorite scarves and formats.

Well, I forgot, until @Pirula and @momasaurus posted gavs, that I bought a few impulse cuties, too! But in H Math, aren't gavs a bit like a rounding error (not at reseller insane prices, but...)? Here are two together; a total impulse search after seeing Momasaurus' beautiful 90 and an Evil Bay "make an offer" at bedtime that I woke up owning. So happy to have both. I think they like each other!!

The Pique Fleuri and Tapis Persans almost look like one! Genius! And I adore Pegase Pop and still looking to add one to my collection… such impacting and amazing graphics!

I had always admired Pelages et Camouflages after seeing it modeled beautifully by so many here. But, it was finally @Pirula that pushed me over the edge with hers. Luckily, soon after her find, this one came up and I hit that purchase button as quickly as I could. Not exactly a bargain as I paid $10 over current retail, but I couldn’t resist and quenched my FOMOF


Another long-time Grail was Zebra Pegasus. Such a marvelous design that I could never decide on a CW, so I sadly sat with my indecision and saw it drift farther and farther away. But about a year ago a friend who has a small and well-curated H silks collection found this CW on a reseller site and her marvelous styling of it helped me to decide that I needed her CW. Well, when it came up on the same reseller site of Pelages two weeks later, I didn’t hesitate. Major FOMOF again! And, for less than my friend payed at about $50 below current retail


Cavaliers Peuls in this CW has been a long-time Grail and when it came up in perfect condition at a little over $200 I pounced… Sales Goggles working their magic again

And thank you for your compliments on my "lucky finds". I am trying to treat my collection like an anthology-- curating pieces that have artistic merit, that will endure, that have pleasing designs and that bring me joy. But there is always room for an unexpected delight, which all of these are.
