Well here are the last 3 scarves I have recently purchased - all previously owned.

della Cavalleria moussie 140 - I got sidetracked by other beautiful moussies the season this came out - felt lucky to have found this a few weeks ago. I clicked “ BIN” very quickly. This Cw will be very versatile- with all the colors in it.

another purchase this month - I didn’t manage to buy maitres de la foret when it was originally released. I always knew this was the perfect CW for me- another BIN as soon as this was listed. all my favorite blues with a bit of purple.

and this one was a surprise - a beautiful moussie stole Tabriz listed at a great price with crummy pix. In fact it is very difficult to photograph moussies so they are often a b3autiful surprise when you open the box - even better than you hoped for.
lately I have been wearing a lot of aqua and greens so this was perfect!

Must begin with my two biggest, sought-after FOMOs of the year: La Marche du Zambeze and Space Derby.
The minute I saw it, I knew I wanted the yellow Zambeze and refreshed h.com several times a day until it finally came up. So afraid that it would be scarce due to all the 2020 issues.

I also frantically looked out for Space Derby, although I did want the red CW. But, after three months of waiting, my SA told me that the red would probably not be available here any time soon, but that he had located the yellow. My FOMO with this design had escalated and I ordered it. The minute I saw it, I fell in love with it

The same day I went to get Space Derby, I ran across the red Selle des Steppes... a scarf I was not planning to get. I had seen various beautiful CWs that looked great on others, but didn’t really visualize it on me. But it was a coup de foudre... a total impulse buy

Great borders on all these!
I love those coups de foudre - when a scarf you hadn't even noticed grabs you IRL! That is a great red.

This year has been punctuated by a couple of lucky finds, and at least one FOMOF (but I didn't settle) scarf. Though I have tried to tell myself I have been better about purchases, sadly when I add the number up, that is not the case. A lot of the purchases so far this year have been definitely OUT of the bargain realm and IN to the I'd better get this while I can realm.... Cha-ching $$$

One bargain I am very happy with (because, like our dear @Cookiefiend , I have a permanently attached pair of sales goggles on my head at all times... )

Just before "The Big Freeze" here in TX I located this Grand Fonds pareo for the price of a twilly (calculated Mod H so everyone here will understand) :roflmfao:

And under the concept of FOMOF (Fear of Missing out Forever) when the Marche du Zambeze came out, and was re-released in my fav colorway of black/purple/green I ordered it as fast as it could appear on H dot com (and it promptly became my valentines present from MrBcat's "SGV" - that magic place where future H scarf numbers reside.... )

The other FOMOF scarf still hangs in limbo in the SGV as of today, but I HAD to have it because I love the marble scarves so and wanted one of my very own. :cloud9: So my Kyoto Marble bandana from this spring's releases is still in the set of "imaginary" scarves FOMOF-i, since it don't exist here on my Real Scarf Plane (RSP) just yet. I am hoping it will get moved from FOMOF-i to RSP very soon-ish!

All so pretty - did you get the wash or regular silk Zambeze? I love that black colorway. Somehow didn't get the first issue and didn't get a reissue either!

Such beautiful BLUES!

Who am I but the most devoted bargain hunter

Chapeau! (which I posted last week as well) was a “that’s too cheap, no way the final price is gonna be that low” unexpected ebay auction win. I normally would be quite skeptical at such low price but the scarf was from a trusted Japanese seller so I took the plunge, put in my max bid and went to bed. Woke up the proud winner haha

Early America, enabled by dear @turfnsurf was another bargain. I’ve been eyeing a 90 pink Early America but the price for that particular scarf is quite high. So when this little moussie gav popped up, half the size but less than half the price, clearly it was a great deal. H Math at its finest

I too am guilty of doing H math. Because there are real world prices - „Do they really want 4 Euros for a cappuccino? Now that‘s greedy!“ - and Hermès world prices - „This CSGM is just 600 Euros, now that is a bargain, I can‘t let it go!“

So when I saw Le Jardin de la Maharani for 550 Euros on eBay in „my“ cw I couldn‘t possibly pass it up. Now it came with me to Venice where it was much too warm to wear it but it worked well during the evening in the Berici hills around Vicenza.

And, just because I love it so much, Palladio‘s Villa La Rotonda which I visited yesterday.

I’m living vicariously through you @Thelittlefoxes. Venice is beautiful as always and I hope to be able to go back there one day

Delightful! I have done the same - put in a bid thinking “well, I don’t expect to win this, but if I do? Woo hoo!“ - and woken up in the morning the proud owner of a darling scarf at a great price?
Winnjng!
I love the moussie gav - they’re wonderful in the summer!

That’s exactly what I plan to do with the moussie gav. I already bought a dress (not H) that I imagine will go perfectly with it. Just waiting for it to be shipped

Here’s the last of my four “lucky finds” from the past six months. So far I have accumulated four lucky finds, three targets of opportunity, two impulse buys and one full blown obsession. AND I am running out of what my DH calls “luxe bucks” money made from selling seldom and/or never used designer shoes and bags which made up my scarf slush fund! Oh, well, it’s been a grand spree so far…

Who doesn’t love it when that happens!!
