My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Wow… that is gorgeous!
That collaborative effort in 2013 was a love-it-or-hate-it collex. I see it as a precursor to the little hearts and dots which H overlays nowadays. It probably evoked a stronger response then because CdG's overlays really obscured the design. Errr, yes, I justify this purchase as "historical"

My Ardmore artists scarves:
Savana dance as a 70, and 3 moussie stoles. ( I went a bit overboard that season)

And the moussie stole in 3 different Cws.

And finally, Flowers of South Africa 90

And I just realized ex Libris Les parisiennes fits this theme.View attachment 4700399 View attachment 4700400
My favorite is that 70 - I love that color! I know, I know - I’m usually all about the moussies... but that color just sings!
ELP - so cute! Still love the pink! ❤️

Good Morning Scarflandia! Our creative theme this week, will be a collaborative one - March 29 - Gestalt Goodies - Collective creativity - Ardmore Artists, Anamorphée, Rybaltchenko/Ledoux, Octave & Theo (A L’Ombre des Pivoines). Collabs with others like Comme des Garcons, Colette, Rei Kawakubo, and Liberty.
Anamorphee is Charlotte Halpern and Bertrand Houdin, they have worked together since 2001. Anamorphée has designed some spectacular scarves for H - Ex Libris en Kimono, Ndop, H en Voyage, to mention a few. In their quest for visual poetry, they play with optical illusions and images...
Perspective Cavalière is an excellent example of this!

Gestalt! And an excellent example of H Magic.. because hooo boy - those colors just don’t seem like they’d work - but they do!
Ardmore Artists is an artistic organization that began in KwaZulu-Natal nearly 30 years ago. Ardmore Desing Collection launched in 2010 with dinnerware, ceramic sculpture, tapestries and more. Hermès approached AA in 2013, the results of that collaboration has resulted in La March du Zambèse, Savana Dance and Baobob Cat.

Gestalt!
Gestalt psychologists argued that this principle (Gestalt) exists because the mind has an innate disposition to perceive patterns in the stimulus based on certain rules. These principles are organized into five categories: Proximity, Similarity, Continuity, Closure, and Connectedness.
We see patterns because our mind wants to make sense of the world…
Indian Dust - while not a collaboration - has a pattern… Do you see it?

Gestalt!
(does anyone else say ‘Bless you!’ after seeing Gestalt? No? Just me?)
I look forward to seeing more of Hermes collaborations!
(and tangents off into the Gestalt! Great minds think alike!)
What a wonderful intro! Brava!! Love your Indian Dust

Wonderful!

Les Trois Mousquetaires may be my only collaboration, i.e. Vladimier Rybaltchenko and Ledoux, with Rybal completing the scarf after Ledoux became ill, ultimately passing. Maybe a little too close to home for current events?

Oh my goodness! Fascinating... I had no idea! Such a special design

Follow the foot step of @blydia style.
What a delightful look! You look amazing in these colors

Good morning! i hope you are all well and safe!
I have no collab scarves unfortunately, but I can offer a collaboration between my socks and my sweater?

Hahahah! Such a chic lockdown look!

Apologies first. I'm working from home this week and it's too hot for scarves. The skies are overcast in the late afternoons but not a drop of rain so far. I'll just share this oddity from my collex today. If it gets cooler tmrw, I'll try wearing it :amuse:
I've always wanted Thalassa but never found a cw that really appealed to me. Then I came across this: a collaborative design between H and Comme des Garcons. Starkly elegant with a colour palette that reminded me of MP anthracite. And at a very reasonable price.

So amazing

SOTD, my homage to Dr. Birx. Shawl collar + "triangle over the shoulder" tie (what do you call that tie?) + pearl earrings, not seen. On a sweatshirt, but one works with what one has

Happy to be your twin... Love how you’ve styled it

Wearing Metamorphoses d’un Carre gav today. I’m not positive that Anamorphee was the designer for this, it is so similar to Cocottes De Soie that after discussing this with our esteemed Xincinsin - we decided it must be!

Never overboard with this magnificent design... So many beauties! Sigh...

Greetings, dear Scarfies!
Well, this past week I did exit confinement one morning to visit the pharmacy, then decided to buy a few items at an ethnic market when, lo and behold... they had just received a shipment of toilet paper! After placing my precious loot in the car I had to make one last quick stop at the UPS store. But, when I got off, I suddenly worried someone might see the package of TP and break into my car so I took off my Savana Dance shawl and placed it OVER the paper towel rolls to hide them... instead of the other way around... Rolls of TP may be more attractive than an Hermès silk... What we have come to! LOL!
And, I am on theme since Savana Dance was designed by the Ardmore Collective. First pic I took when I returned to the car and I’m wearing the shawl on the second

And, this next pic is not on topic for the week’s theme, but it is Covid related... My Kawa Ora mask... Forget about pretty florals or pastels... This had to be FIERCE!

You made me smile and chortle on a very stressful day!  Last day of the financial year and I'm trying to explain the concept of accrual to someone with no logic. Maybe my boss will nominate me for an award :giggle:
