My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Good Morning Scarflandia! Our creative theme this week, will be a collaborative one - March 29 - Gestalt Goodies - Collective creativity - Ardmore Artists, Anamorphée, Rybaltchenko/Ledoux, Octave & Theo (A L’Ombre des Pivoines). Collabs with others like Comme des Garcons, Colette, Rei Kawakubo, and Liberty.
Anamorphee is Charlotte Halpern and Bertrand Houdin, they have worked together since 2001. Anamorphée has designed some spectacular scarves for H - Ex Libris en Kimono, Ndop, H en Voyage, to mention a few. In their quest for visual poetry, they play with optical illusions and images...
Perspective Cavalière is an excellent example of this!

Gestalt! And an excellent example of H Magic.. because hooo boy - those colors just don’t seem like they’d work - but they do!
Ardmore Artists is an artistic organization that began in KwaZulu-Natal nearly 30 years ago. Ardmore Desing Collection launched in 2010 with dinnerware, ceramic sculpture, tapestries and more. Hermès approached AA in 2013, the results of that collaboration has resulted in La March du Zambèse, Savana Dance and Baobob Cat.

Gestalt!
Gestalt psychologists argued that this principle (Gestalt) exists because the mind has an innate disposition to perceive patterns in the stimulus based on certain rules. These principles are organized into five categories: Proximity, Similarity, Continuity, Closure, and Connectedness.
We see patterns because our mind wants to make sense of the world…
Indian Dust - while not a collaboration - has a pattern… Do you see it?

Gestalt!
(does anyone else say ‘Bless you!’ after seeing Gestalt? No? Just me?)
I look forward to seeing more of Hermes collaborations!
(and tangents off into the Gestalt! Great minds think alike!)
Fantastic opener, Cookie! I'm waiting to see all the scarves that were designed by more than one.
Don't forget all the re-interpretations, scarfies! Every time H recreates Ex Libris and Brides de Gala, someone mindmelds with Hugo Grygkar :alien: (Ok, too much Star trek here...)

Les Trois Mousquetaires may be my only collaboration, i.e. Vladimier Rybaltchenko and Ledoux, with Rybal completing the scarf after Ledoux became ill, ultimately passing. Maybe a little too close to home for current events?

It's a gorgeous design. I'm just going to sit on my hands over here and admire you, Jbizzy. Nope, not going to see if I can find one (tries not to gnaw on her fingers).

Good morning. I felt in spired by everyone's compositions! Before we go to next weeks' topic, here's my contribution:

Follow the foot step of @blydia style.
So pretty! I'm going to try this too!

Thank you, @xincinsin  If you do paddle your way off Ban Island, the good news is prices for LTM have fallen by half in a year.

Apologies first. I'm working from home this week and it's too hot for scarves. The skies are overcast in the late afternoons but not a drop of rain so far. I'll just share this oddity from my collex today. If it gets cooler tmrw, I'll try wearing it :amuse:
I've always wanted Thalassa but never found a cw that really appealed to me. Then I came across this: a collaborative design between H and Comme des Garcons. Starkly elegant with a colour palette that reminded me of MP anthracite. And at a very reasonable price.
