My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Beautiful colors Croisette!

Good Morning Scarflandia! Our creative theme this week, will be a collaborative one - March 29 - Gestalt Goodies - Collective creativity - Ardmore Artists, Anamorphée, Rybaltchenko/Ledoux, Octave & Theo (A L’Ombre des Pivoines). Collabs with others like Comme des Garcons, Colette, Rei Kawakubo, and Liberty.
Anamorphee is Charlotte Halpern and Bertrand Houdin, they have worked together since 2001. Anamorphée has designed some spectacular scarves for H - Ex Libris en Kimono, Ndop, H en Voyage, to mention a few. In their quest for visual poetry, they play with optical illusions and images...
Perspective Cavalière is an excellent example of this!

Gestalt! And an excellent example of H Magic.. because hooo boy - those colors just don’t seem like they’d work - but they do!
Ardmore Artists is an artistic organization that began in KwaZulu-Natal nearly 30 years ago. Ardmore Desing Collection launched in 2010 with dinnerware, ceramic sculpture, tapestries and more. Hermès approached AA in 2013, the results of that collaboration has resulted in La March du Zambèse, Savana Dance and Baobob Cat.

Gestalt!
Gestalt psychologists argued that this principle (Gestalt) exists because the mind has an innate disposition to perceive patterns in the stimulus based on certain rules. These principles are organized into five categories: Proximity, Similarity, Continuity, Closure, and Connectedness.
We see patterns because our mind wants to make sense of the world…
Indian Dust - while not a collaboration - has a pattern… Do you see it?

Gestalt!
(does anyone else say ‘Bless you!’ after seeing Gestalt? No? Just me?)
I look forward to seeing more of Hermes collaborations!
(and tangents off into the Gestalt! Great minds think alike!)

Great intro Cookie!

Hahaaaa - if it is, I hope the answer to Magic Kelly is in there too!
(PLEASE! :giggle::panic: :giggle:)
Les Trois Mousquetaires may be my only collaboration, i.e. Vladimier Rybaltchenko and Ledoux, with Rybal completing the scarf after Ledoux became ill, ultimately passing. Maybe a little too close to home for current events?
