My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

We tried to ID one of her first ones over in Scarf Identification; @marietouchet didn’t think it was an Hermes though others could be.

I considered a Dr. Birx Scarf of the Day thread but lack the depth of knowledge to ID the H from the others.

Anyone up for the challenge? Google Images shows plenty of scarf-wearing Birx Days.

It would be helpful to have a thread devoted solely to Dr. Birx and her scarves. At the moment, there are multiple threads in multiple forms that include posts about her and her scarves. As far as I can tell, none of them have been identified yet. I think it would be easier for our H members to help identify scarves if they were all in the same thread.

I've been Inspired by all of the creative beautiful pairings, so I thought I'd give it try - yesterday preparing to go out for walk since it was sunny (practicing self distance though) and hadn't been out of the house since Monday for just a short grocerystore run; Brides de Gala Fleuri and Fleurs de Giverny.

Canuck, I love these together! So pretty!

Wearing Bolduc with the reverse side of Music Maker today. I wanted to give @Awillow's double scarf look a try but this pair is too small to twine together.

Xincinsin, the red and black look great together!

Here's one double from this past week. Jungle Love pocket square with Flacons bandana used as a "frame":

Here's an experiment with Cosmographia & PdS.

Gorgeous!
Not every experiment works. Today I tried using Bolduc gav with the Soie Belle ascot, but the red was an exact match and so the gav disappeared into the ascot. The saving grace is that the ascot is rather flimsy, so adding the gav provided some bulk which I do like.

The reds are exact matches, I almost didn’t see Bolduc!
Sequences & Harnais des Presidents, both 70 vintage silks, together

Wow! There's a Japanese feel to this pairing. Like in their pottery designs.

They are perfect together!

Gorgeous pairing Canuck!

I thought these are 1 original scarf. They sure work together .I love it!

Canuck, I love these together! So pretty!

Thank you all (and the likes)! I probably would have never attempted tying two scarves together if it weren't for the covoid-19 lock-down and needing some distraction, but I'm going to try again. I love the fact that it gives more options for my 90s. Have to look for small pleasures these days. This thread is one that I look forward to seeing everyday. Stay safe and healthy!

Perhaps ask for @papertiger 's help? Or another mod. They know how to move posts around.

I was thinking about that this morning when getting dressed. I also would have never thought to put 2 scarves together - but it's a great idea. i like that it's like wearing a 140cm, but I get to choose the pattern, and it seems like less silk to wrangle.
It is also a nice distraction from the real world. Go silkies! girlhigh5.gif
