My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Hello, Scarflandians,
Well, the year certainly got off to an exuberant start! Everyone is posting great shots of their scarves and what great taste you all have! Here is my only Brides de Gala - the En Desordre Multico Fleuri maxi-twilly. I do love this scarf but have not worn it yet. I’m sure I will soon...

Très chic, Karenska!

And my two formats of Legende Kuna Peuple de Panama, one a twilly in the most versatile cw (pardon the blur; this scarf is a realworkhorse!), and my recently acquired plisse. View attachment 4637278View attachment 4637279
Both are beautiful!

La Rosee - 2 140cm changeant mousseline and one gav. This really shows how different the changeant can be - the peachy pink is so much more subtle than the dark and stormy one.

Cookiefiend, your two changeants are both lovely! And I meant to tell you earlier upthread how happy I was to see the photos of your little gavroche from your son! He has excellent taste, as do you.

MAGJES, I drool over that CSGM Parures every time you show it! If it ever falls out of your favor...

OMG, those exL enK are so gorgeous. I think the CSGM CWs were even more beautiful than the 90.

Scarf, I agree with you; never got an ElenK twill. I was always chasing the CSGMs. I also prefer the larger scale format as the 90 twill always looked really busy on me.

It is always interesting to hear others opinions about the scale of designs. I felt the fine details were missing in the CSGM design that I liked so much in the 90’s of ELeK and PdS. Again so interesting to hear others thoughts.:flowers:

The pink & plummy twill is dreamy

Dear scarfies: Where are the ex Librises? The iconic Caleche is missing! Please bring out your shawlsband twills! I no longer have those but I do have these!

Here’s the Ode to EL thread from many moons ago...

The fringes on those are to die for :faint:

Oooooooh! I’ll post my twinsie of the 90 & her cool vintage tags :coolio:

All of these pictures are fabulous!! There are many designs which I was not aware of a reissue and cws of designs I have not seen!! Wonderful eye candy!!:flowers:I have to admit I was looking at my newly started database of my scarves. ( A task like no other! I haven’t worn a scarf in weeks! All my time has been spent writing the cw and other codes and snapping pictures:faint:I am exhausted!! ) And found that I am prone to multiple cws in a design but, if it comes in another format I am not likely to purchase it. ELeK and PdS come to mind as they had reissues close together. But if the reissues are in the same format then....:graucho:I do get carried away!:whistle:This is my Tapis collection minus a mousseline I have purchased. Again apologies that I did not retake the picture but I am worn out folding and refolding scarves at this time.:flowers:
I love to see an array of silks like this, so no apologies necessary. I find it so interesting how our collex all differ due to interests, coloring, preferences, etc.
Your love of smaller prints is beautifully showcased here. :flowers:

Actual SOTD. patchwork Horse CSGM from SS2020 collection.
Bought this yesterday, couldn’t wait to wear it today!
Think this may be unusual because I don’t think it was released as 90. I do know it was released as a CSGM a couple of seasons ago. ( @momasaurus has one from that edition).
Congrats! There’s such a great feeling getting to wear a patiently awaited scarf for the first time.

A few more multiple formats before this week is over.
Flamingo Party original MaxiT and 90.
And the beautiful Parures du Samourais - I have 2 90s, and 2 CSGMs. Reminds me I should wear the 90s more.
90 in a beautiful pastel CW.
CSGM in blue/ grey. I had a hard time choosing between this and the caban/ blue/orange. Ended up with both.
The caban CSGM. I usually avoid orange in scarves, but this was too beautiful to pass up.
90 scarf on site at the Met.
I can see the struggle to decide between the two CSGMs. The blue/grey has a Japan-ware quality to it, but I also hardily approve of the orange

Holy Moley! :eek:The color & scale of the pink CSGM is stunning. I’ve been on the fence about which cw of CsmC “needs” to be in my life until now.
Anyone know if this cw was done in a 90? (No need to rush on that info b/c I really need to put my bank card on ice)
