My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

MERRY CHRISTMAS SCARFIES TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE! (And Happy Friday to everyone!)

A few festive things from this week

It was 78F and wearing t-shirts and moussies on Wednesday....In Festival des Amazons trying to get the changeant of yellow and pearl blue in...

Then the next day (Thursday) was 40F...so out comes Zenobie which has a kind of festive look to it....

and at home later with Cosmos doing holiday prep.

Today, I prepared myself for the incoming goodies from Mr Bcat and his (in)famous SGV (Scarf Gift Vault) because I knew I would get at least one....and I knew it would be purple (because that is all there is in there!) so I got going and applied appropriate makeup when I got dressed.

Apparently, I was EXCEPTIONALLY good! Doubly so in fact! (And this was unexpected!) So WOW!!! Soooo very thrilled to add not just one, but 2 Excpetionele pieces in to the scarf corral. I have no idea of the official names anymore on these.

A double sided (2 thicknesses) moussie in what I call blurple with black, and lots of pretty deep grey luster glass beads.

And, I think the leather trimmed ones all get put in the exceptional section these days. And I have LOOOONG wanted a leather trimmed scarf. This leather trimmed maxi twilly was from a few years back, but the leather is sooooo soft. I forget if it is Eperons d'Or or Grande Manege in the jacquard pattern. A little more indigo-ink blue than blurple and black.

Congrats, bunny! The perfect touch to round off a trying year!

And if Mr Bcat needs any encouragement to restock that Ali Baba vault, just send him our way :P

Update for Julide. The gemstone cutter got back to me last night, and he has an aquamarine briolette available. This is a nice jewelry project for me for 2021, and will allow me to accessorize my Hermès scarf correctly.
Best. News. Ever!:happydance:I love jewels. Don’t wear them often but love to look at them. I can’t wait to see your new jewelry when it is finished!:flowers:

First, SOTD, untraditional colors but festive and appropriate IMHO, nonetheless! Axis Mundi with it’s universal themes. Showcasing the hen because, after all, there were three and they were French! :giggle: Nicole Barr Santa Moon pin.

And now for timely scarf mail (drumroll, please...). Sister with @Redbirdhermes and @Croisette7 and many others, I am sure. L’Hiver en Poste! Wikipedia has a juicy article about the Bull and Mouth Coaching Inn, which this scarf beautifully depicts. I love how the horses are so full of life and action.View attachment 4937767View attachment 4937764
Yay! You're in the club now. Such a great scarf.

Thanks for the tip. I have only boughts scarves and Behapis, all I’m certain are authentic. But I’ll be warier. One thing I really dislike about that company is how they package their scarves. Wrinkled! Ugh. I get red hot at the thought of just folding them any which way, crumpling them, so to speak. When I received my Omnibus Remix, I actually cried and called them to complain.
Wow. Another reason not to love them. Did they give you some refund on the wrinkled Omnibus? (Were you still crying when you called? For me, that would be key, but I am a bit theatrical.)

These are fab! I can't wait to see more of them as you incorporate them into your looks. Good girl, indeed!

Merry Christmas and many blessings to all of my dear SOTD friends!
This Christmas has been like no other in recent memory as my family celebrations were much reduced, and even our Midnight Mass was televised. With so many events canceled like Christmas parties and get togethers, concerts, Christmas lights celebrations, even church events, my holiday scarf wearing was greatly edited.
But, even so, I still managed to wear a few such as red Noël. Here one from the archives

Another favorite at this time of year for me is Fleurs d’Ecosse

And, here’s an Advent favorite because of the purple CW and also a Christmas favorite because of the toyland theme: Zabavushka

This particular CW of Animaux Solaires makes it especially fitting for the Christmas holidays and the gold makes it very festive

A favorite red scarf for Christmas is Les Fetes du Roy Soleil

And, the festive design and red, green and white stripes of this CW of Chocs en Plumes is perfect for the holidays

Congratulations on your gorgeous exeptionelle additions, bunnycat ... and Merry Christmas!

I thought it was rouge h when I bought but now believe it is bordeaux. I had a rouge h sac mallette and they were very different. The red in this bag is at the blueish end of the red spectrum. But there is a lot of variation is rouge h so I could be wrong.
No matter what rouge, the Piano is classy and sophisticated.

Warm rain melted all our snow! Also: Those are sparkles on my sweater and not lint, LOLView attachment 4937694
So chic on you, dear moma!

Oh my- double sided AND a changeant! What a find! Congrats!
thank you, Bunnycat!

Forgot to attach the photo, lol. I’m very tired!
nice outfit, Laurenad!
