My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Today, I prepared myself for the incoming goodies from Mr Bcat and his (in)famous SGV (Scarf Gift Vault) because I knew I would get at least one....and I knew it would be purple (because that is all there is in there!) so I got going and applied appropriate makeup when I got dressed.

Apparently, I was EXCEPTIONALLY good! Doubly so in fact! (And this was unexpected!) So WOW!!! Soooo very thrilled to add not just one, but 2 Excpetionele pieces in to the scarf corral. I have no idea of the official names anymore on these.

A double sided (2 thicknesses) moussie in what I call blurple with black, and lots of pretty deep grey luster glass beads.

And, I think the leather trimmed ones all get put in the exceptional section these days. And I have LOOOONG wanted a leather trimmed scarf. This leather trimmed maxi twilly was from a few years back, but the leather is sooooo soft. I forget if it is Eperons d'Or or Grande Manege in the jacquard pattern. A little more indigo-ink blue than blurple and black.

Merry Christmas and many blessings to all of my dear SOTD friends!
This Christmas has been like no other in recent memory as my family celebrations were much reduced, and even our Midnight Mass was televised. With so many events canceled like Christmas parties and get togethers, concerts, Christmas lights celebrations, even church events, my holiday scarf wearing was greatly edited.
But, even so, I still managed to wear a few such as red Noël. Here one from the archives

And, here’s an Advent favorite because of the purple CW and also a Christmas favorite because of the toyland theme: Zabavushka

This particular CW of Animaux Solaires makes it especially fitting for the Christmas holidays and the gold makes it very festive

You have the only red Noel I have ever seen. You have so many amazing silks. Glad you still managed to wear some this year.

Congrats on the new amazing additions! Both so elegant and so versatile! We have also had crazy extremes here weather-wise... Yesterday were outside in shirtleeves and today it’s sweaters and jackets! But, I don’t complain as I can wear my CSGMs! Love all if your amazing silks and your beautiful hair color

Thank you is kindly Cordeliere! Since I knew what the box looked like for the MT, and I saw that under the tree, I figured that one had been his choice and the other scarf I guessed wrong! I think I tried to put both on at once because I couldn't decide which one should get first wear for the day! (But ended up choosing the moussie  for the day) Tomorrow I'l wear the MT. And I will add the moussie and some more pics to the moussie thread.

Thank you kindly fifi! Yes- the wild back and forth of the weather definitely let's you keep it all in rotation!

Thank you most kindly... I have worn some of my holiday silks, but many seasonal favorites remained folded up and put away...
And @Redbirdhermes also has a red Noel... We are all lucky to own this wonderful design, no matter the color

Congrats on your double exceptional Christmas! This did not disappoint my as @Cordeliere stated. What great scarves! So so fabulous!! Mr BCat knows how to give gifts!:flowers:

It a truly a delight and such marvelous eye candy to see your beautiful silks, Fifi. You are the inspiration for my getting the red Noel. It showed up on the Bay from a trusted reseller for considerably less than usual. When her blurb made no comment on smell, which she usually mentions when the scarf is smell-free, I figured that it was probably going to reek of perfume. But, I couldn’t wait if I wanted it (it had only been listed for three hours), so I pulled the trigger. I guessed right, and that scarf has been airing out in my basement for months. It is finally becoming wearable for the holidays, and I know that I will enjoy it for years to come. Red has always been my favorite color.

No way! I thought it was an aquamarine! How nice! Prasiolite is so beautiful and also goes well! :pI fear I may have inadvertently enabled you to go jewelry shopping...:giggle::presents::giggle:
Update for Julide. The gemstone cutter got back to me last night, and he has an aquamarine briolette available. This is a nice jewelry project for me for 2021, and will allow me to accessorize my Hermès scarf correctly. :)

I did not know that @Redbirdhermes also had the red. You both have the Grail of Grails talent.
