My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Despite a pandemic, I’m still busy as a squirrel in Autumn! SOTD today and yesterday. Not Hermès but still showing it. Echo. Brooch is Russian hand-painted on wood.
Note that I just got scarf mail :graucho: - so timely; I’ll model it soon. Also, sharing my Nutcracker station of my own design. Sugar Plum Fairy, snowflake ballerinas, ballet slippers, Mouse King, and homage ornament with Mr Tchaikovsky’s photo. :hbeat::hbeat: Without him there’d be no Nutcracker ballet!

Oh, such a lovely display! I love it! And, the scarf and Russian pin is perfectly festive

Christmas Eve - all the presents, dinners and cookies have been delivered, and Coco and I are watching A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sims in black and white.

This year was supposed to be the year all the boys came for dinner on Christmas Eve - we’d pop Christmas Crackers, and wear our crowns, have a posh dinner and then open presents. I usually wear a Scottish skirt/kilt, but not this year - I put it on anyway (still fits!) and the scarf I would have worn. Not a really festive scarf, but one that works with the outfit and the occasion - so it’s my Christmas Eve scarf.

I’m sending you all wishes for a very Merry Christmas or a very Happy Holiday!
Cookie, you look stunning and so elegant! And, sweet Coco looking gorgeous as always...
So many of our plans were derailed this year and I am a bit disappointed... Here’s to a 2021 full of hopes and dreams!

Joining the parade of Noel au 24 Faubourg. This scarf so amuses me because brown is not the first color that comes to mind when I think of Christmas. Also joining the parade of color combinations that should only be worn at Christmas. I am carrying my Bordeaux Piano and wearing red shoes to compliment the brown.

We received a Christmas basket today that was decorated with sleigh bells. The tinkle was so delightful that I attached them to my bag. DH and I are headed out for an early Christmas Eve dinner at a steakhouse. I will be sharing the sound of sleigh bells with the other dinners as I walk in. Just trying to share the joy.

And finally for those suffering with inches or feet of snow in their yards, you will notice we have none. It is 73 degree here.

You look amazing! Your Noel is spectacular! And, love the jingle bells detail... I am sure all eyes were on you this evening

Inspired by @Living.la.vida.fifi and her festive Savana Dance CW, my SOTD is a different CW of that shawl - the elements around the edges remind me of Christmas baubles.

First of all, welcome to SOTD! So happy to have you join us here and I hope that it’s your first of many posts...
And, what an entrance! You look amazing!
And, I never made the connection with the border design of SD and Christmas baubles, but it’s totally true!

I know it has nothing to do with Christmas, but I only wear Les Merises at this time... This pic was taken a few years ago on my way to an Advent Mass

Christmasy, and very regal and festive... must be all those gold swirls with the bright seasonal colors

Thank you. :flowers: I love lady bags and have a number of them. They are perfect for dates with DH.

I am honored by your compliment. Thank you. I used your pic of your Noel as inspiration on how to tie it today.

Thank you. I lucked out and got my in an auction at a steal price.

You style your outfits so well. If you think it was perfectly styled, the combination must not be as weird as I think.:giggle:

Brown is the new red? And yes we had a very good time.

I am going to post a picture of our Isle of Seaford appetizer. Can you believe the size of this thing? This was the half order. I can hear you asking "This relates to scarves how?" I am always terrified of getting food on my scarves. When the waitress put this between us, I saw flashing lights saying Danger! Danger! Danger! I ate the two driest items--the already shelled crab and the shrimp. Gave DH the raw oysters, the crab leg, and the lobster. As DH put it, you can take a lobster out of the water, but you can't take the water out of the lobster. I am happy to report my Noel came home totally free from seafood attacks.

Wow! What CW is this? I, myself, have stuck to a boring black face mask because I don’t wanna hafta think about matching! LOL
:laugh:My masks are basic too. I couldn’t even imagine trying to match masks with scarves. This was a very happy accident!:p This is CW 16 Blanc/Jaune/Vert I’m including a photo as well:flowers:
