My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! I'm on duty in the office today and found this interesting reference to a festive celebration on this day.

The menu wouldn't fly in my household as we run the gamut from fish lovers to fish haters :amuse: but since fish are a symbol of fortune and plenty for me, here are seven fishy scarves to celebrate the Feast of the Seven Fishes
Clockwise from top left: La Vie Precieuse, Secrets de Minos, Canadian Wild, Ecume, De la Mer au Ciel, A Contre Courant and in the centre Les Truites.

My SOTD is one of my very few summer silks: Kachinas, worn with a small enamel-patterned napkin ring.

Merry Christmas Eve, Xincinsin! I love your pesce offerings (twins with Les Secrets de Minos!). I am of Calabrese descent, second generation, and my grandparents always had a big fish dinner on Christmas Eve when I was growing up.

Regarding your beautiful Kachinas summer silk, that is a fabulous example of triple pattern on pattern!

I had to go back and look at this picture after you commented.:faint:I have never seen a triple pattern before! Impressive! Next level scarf combining. I’m still on matching my outfits!

 I had the same reaction as @Julide. I can assure you that any layered patterning was inadvertent ;)

And a tip for those who want to repurpose napkin rings, most napkin rings are 2 inches (5cm) in diameter, too large for 90cm scarves. This one was smaller than normal, about 1.5 inches and works fine with 140s. You can also occasionally find tiny ones about an inch in diameter.

So pretty and gay! Love the cw, Moma. I am your sister! View attachment 4936643View attachment 4936644

Nothing prettier than the Strawberry Thief! I’m about to order a mask in the same print!
Thanks, it's a classic print ... and I have a mask in the fabric.
So do I!

Ah phone issues strike again. If you click on the photo, it will expand.
The enlargement doesn ´t work on my ipad, sorry.

Hahahahah! This darn song gets maligned by everyone in the planet... That is hilarious... But, the problem is that now you’re gonna get me singing about the onion rings forever... all 5 of them
Attended a Zoom Christmas singalong last night with some dear friends and we sang nutty lyrics to TTDoC with each person assigned a day. It was silly and fun. There were two babies and a three year old in attendance. The sweetest part was when the three year old, Rory, ended the gathering with “Happy Merry Christmas Everybody!” We all clapped, of course, cheering him, and he was delighted, as were we.
