My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

This CW was never available at my H store and I SO wanted to see it and try it on... It is fabulous, and perfect for you
Fifi I only got this last month from my store. I asked my SA who did a search in the US and once the colorway was found it was shipped to my store and I picked it up. My friend also wanted this cw after I showed it to her and utilized her SA to do the same. They are out there still, and I hope you can find one. It’s a beautiful scarf and looks very different depending on how it’s tied or paired. I suppose most H scarves boast this feat! Good luck and thanks so much for the compliment :)

More shots of gorgeous scarves in the purple spectrum. Cosmos plisse in very royal colors. I do not wear this beauty enough :coolio:. View attachment 4932641Periwinkle in Sequences:

Just popping in to present the love of my life: the special edition Cosmographia Universalis 90 (for the brighter future of Hong Kong). Purple banner so I’m on theme! No connections to get this beauty, just relentless stalking on Vestiaire until I lucked out. (Relentless is a mild word, I really wanted this scarf!) CU is my all time favorite design and I’m so happy to add this scarf to my collection of pastel CU scarves. For fun, I tied all three together :P.
Huge congrats on the find and this beauty!

It's beautiful and I completely understand going the pre-loved route. A snag (or a ding on a preloved K) hurts a whole lot less than one on a brand new and pristine scarf (or purse).
I don't know what's going on with the mail/delivery services... I know it's a lot and more than last year - but they knew it was coming right? It comes every year at this time - right? I have a pair of earrings that have been out in the USPS wilds for almost 10 days now...
I told some of my regular sellers to just hang on to the items and send them out post-Christmas crush.

Congrats on getting this!

Exactly! I find the 90 silks somewhat less scary to keep neat, maybe because I mostly wear them to work and not much around my toddler, but the CSGM I wear a lot more around the house. And they're just so big--part of what makes them nice and cozy! But also makes it harder to wrangle all that material and keep it safe from snags.

I know it's an insane year for mail delivery--unprecedented volume, attempting to socially distance in the warehouses, and LOTS of carriers out sick. I wouldn't even mind getting this item late, I'm mostly nervous about it getting dropped on my porch when I'm not home. We can put a mail hold for our address, but in the past that actually hasn't even stopped the packages from getting dropped off, just the regular letter mail.
Totally hear you on this, FedEx has updated my H.com order 3x now and who knows when it will finally show up. I do sympathize with all delivery agents, this year’s volume is likely 5x the norm with everyone doing so much online shopping.

these are beautiful! Ima copy that knot for the moussie, unless you want to tell me in advance what you did....
Thank you!
It's a super duper hard knot... :giggle: I loosely folded it in the bias fold, and then wrapped it (startiing one end a little on the short side) around my neck - it's about 2 times around - and then tied a single knot, tucked that under the scarf, then brought the 2 ends up and tied them in a small double knot.
Lemme know if that doesn't make sense!

Wow!! It's gorgeous - congratulations!

Off-topic, but my actual SOTD is Carre Kantha, keeping me warm in my tundra of an office.

I've been wearing this non-stop lately. It's especially nice that it's preloved; I don't worry about being super careful with it, and I think I'll mostly go preloved on CSGMs from here on out. I love it so much that another CSGM is on its way to me for Christmas, but it's been "In Transit, Arriving Late" for nearly a week now.
What a beauty, labelo. I love it when I can relax in my scarves! Sometimes I don’t relax but I’m getting better at it.

Thank you, Awillow, I love both of these scarves. Re twillies. They’re fun and often my go to when I just don’t want to wear alot of silk. I also sometimes casually tie one in a pretty bow on a structured handbag, though not very often as I sometimes think it’s not always a successful look on me. On Kellys and Birkins, of which I own none, twillies look absolutely smashing. :girlsigh: I’d also like to wear one as a bracelet; my DH liked that look when I wore it once, but I worry the scarf will get soiled, so that idea is pretty much out for me.
I am bagless as well, Karenska. Although it shocks me to think what I might have afforded were I not so dedicated to scarves! A twilly as a bracelet has intrigued me, although tying one one-handed seems problematic, and Shelby hasn't figured it out yet :)

Awillow, what a beautiful, serene photograph! It should be a holiday card. I think when I feel pangs of stress over the pandemic, I’ll go to this pic for a “quick calm”. :hugs: Such beauty after a snowfall. We received a whopping 26 inches. Re Ms Shelby, please post a photo of her in the snow, if you are so inclined, as she must be a pretty lil thing out there, bouncing around . Chiff wanted to go out! I told him: no way, Jose, we wouldn’t even see tiny ear or tail tips peeking out. I won’t comment about the red Animapolis as I don’t wish to enable you ;)!
26"! You win the snow prize! Here are a few of Shelby - lying in (on) the snow, head in the snow (she loves sticking her entire face in), dragging me (skating) down the alley, and hanging out in the backyard. She is a character!1218200925e.jpg1218201015a.jpg1218201022c_HDR.jpg1218200927a.jpg
