Lovely, Cookie!Aloha!
No - seriously - Aloha has some fruit in the corners!I can’t tell what they are though, even when I checked the regular scarves - cherries maybe in the one corner, a plum on the other?

So beautiful, turfnsurf!Posting my obvious contributions Les Jardins d’Andalousie & Les Merises now, then will pour through others for additional possibilities...
Both of these have succulent fruit depicted; the lively birds are poised for a cherry feast. I’ve always had a penchant for citrus fruit and have some Carres featuring it from other makers (shhh!)
Fabulous! Cheers!The fizz-tastic Horsawards.
Thank you!Beautiful! The left corner looks like a mango. The right corner is unlikely to be cherries, not sure what fruit that is.
oops. Just checked the web pix, looks like mango is on the right corner, mystery fruits on the left...
Thank you so much! What a simpatico pairing of your Jardin d'Eden & Savana Dance
You wear that color beautifully!
Also, perfect lip color to compliment- Luv it!
Thanks! I'm off to check my FP too!Ooh, clever Cookie! You've just reminded me that my Flamingo Party has lemons in the corner (I think!!!). Fab scarf!
Thank you so much sweetie!Lovely, Cookie!
Those fruits look so juicy, like you could take a bite of them! Beautiful!Posting my obvious contributions Les Jardins d’Andalousie & Les Merises now, then will pour through others for additional possibilities...

That Animapolis cw is so gorgeous! Lovely intro this week!Guten Morgen scarfies!
It’s Sunday morning where I am and so time to start a new theme week! Thank you to all who posted and increased our knowledge base this past week with so much wonderful information and fabulous scarf eye candy!
October is a hoppin' time of year for harvest celebrations in much of the Northern Hemisphere. There are dozens of Harvest Festivals, pumpkin festivals, and beer festivals (with all that harvested grain, of course…) happening at this time of year in America and dozens more of the most famous October festival Oktoberfest, which originated in Munich as a wedding celebration. This week we can celebrate food as well with our scarves (easier on the waistline….but feel free to have a beer too…)
13 Oct 2019 -FEAST YOUR EYES- Social gatherings and food & drink on scarves; match your scarf to the food or drink you’re enjoying.
With this week being about food, drink, and people celebrating on your scarves (or matching your scarf to the food you are eating) and thanks to @Cookiefiend 's marvelous Kachina research, I’m going to serve up some more Kachina love. It's a perfect scarf for this week and makes a nice segue from last week's theme since it contains both food and social gathering (plus I looked up some more of the Kachinas on it.)
I'm invoking Owl Kachina (wisdom and intelligence) with Fiona’s assistance to help me out here today:

The kachinas are allies to the Pueblo Peoples rather than deities and are an important part of Pueblo Festivities and gatherings. So all the dancing Kachinas fit with the social gathering part of our theme this week. I also love the southwest symbolisms shown on it with food references, like Squash kachina (holding the squash blossoms) and the corn, the gourds, and the sunflowers (with their edible seeds) which are widely used in autumn and harvest bouquets here in the south.

For all around food fun, Animapolis gets a big high 5for the various food references like King Kong drinking coffee and the cute penguins getting their drive by ice creams, and, not to put too fine a point on it but the entire scarf is Godzilla’s lunchbox. (There are more food references...but I'll let someone else hunt for those...)

I always wondered what a gyro was...Meat cones! https://www.alamy.com/greek-gyros-s...e-focus-and-vintage-style-image187396615.html
Just, you know, don't call them gyros to a Turkish person or döner to a Greek person.![]()
Ok, I cheated and consulted Prof G. It's either passion fruit or strawberry guava. I'm going for guava because there's a little knob at the end of the mystery fruit.Aloha!

Bunny, bunny, bunny - those aren't ice cream, those are döner! A short obituary for the Turkish-German inventor of döner kebab here: https://www.thelocal.de/20090122/16943 and pics of the huge meat cones they shave the meat off of, which the scarf shows in (and on top of!) the shop here: http://kculvertechberlin.blogspot.com/2010/07/doner-kebab.html
Warning for vegetarians - yes, that's a lot of meat in those pics.
Also, despite the tone of the articles above, döner is perfectly tasty while eaten sober.![]()
