I got a late start today -- I 'm listed as Scarf Mistress, so I spent a few hours finding scarves earlier in the week, then forgot I had a matinee play today and had to rush off before I posted. Thank you Bunnycat and Lanit and Cookiefiend and Croisette!
If I had the scarves, I would have started with fireworks! Alas, someone else will have to bring on Feux du ciel, Feux d’Artifice, and Pluie d’Etincelles.
Croissant already showed her gavroche of Souvenirs de Paris but I think the playful dogs in the park at the foot of the Tour Eiffel may show up better on a 90:

Lots of perfect scarves for the theme. I am regretting skipping the ombré de boulevards design. This is a great CW!

I love scarves that remind me of places I have visited. So I have quite a few French theme scarves.

Rendez vous rive gauche. Once I realized it has a street sign for rue st Andre des arts, I had to have it. This was the street of the first apt we rented in Paris. I bought the blue ne first, and then recently this fluorescent .yellow one!

This ties magnificently! And yellow and grey:love:Fabulous!
Happy Sunday all!

Sorry for the late start but some of y'all are already on the ball! I'll just cut to the chase with this week's theme:

14 Jul 2019 -BASTILLE DAY- Homage to H and French themed scarves!

Though the English speaking world tends to call it Bastille Day, in France it is known as the Fete Nationale Francais or the 14 Juillet. So for this week let's pay some homage to H and French themed scarves!

[Wikipedia] The Three Musketeers (French: Les Trois Mousquetaires) is a historical adventure novel written in 1844 by French author Alexandre Dumas.
Situated between 1625 and 1628, it recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan (based on Charles de Batz-Castelmore d'Artagnan) after he leaves home to travel to Paris, to join the Musketeers of the Guard. Although d'Artagnan is not able to join this elite corps immediately, he befriends the three most formidable musketeers of the age – Athos, Porthos and Aramis, "the three inseparables," as these are called – and gets involved in affairs of the state and court.

A fascinating true story here: http://forum.sealordsvf.org/index.php?/topic/7995-when-cavalry-captured-a-fleet-trapped-in-ice/

There are other French ship stories, but we're concentrating on France, the country, I think...

Well, here is a kind of rainbow of scarves. Missing orange as I don’t really like wearing that colour these days. All of your modelling photos have been fab this week!

They aren’t in rainbow order, but clockwise from the top left: Indigo - Jardin de la Maharani, blue: De la Mer au Ciel, yellow - Au Coeur de la Vie, pink/blue - Cosmographia Universalis, green - Daimyo Princes du Soleil Levant, red -
Persepolis, purple - Escales Mediterranéenes.

Wonderful! Beautiful choices, Ms HH. I think you can wear orange, esp. if it were mixed in with other colors to ‘tame’ it. Or not. Let that orange blaze!

Well done! We are twins on the black Parisiens. I'm still curious if they represent any actual people....To me some of them look like writers...

Ah...black! I love these CWs of Les amoureux and Cirque. I'm still looking for an original Amoureux (I did not like the printing on the reissue this year, but loved the updated couples), gavroche is perfect!
