This week, our theme crosses over the Independence Day celebrations in the US, so American scarfies, show us how you incorporate your H scarf into your festive look!
THE NEW WORLD
Scarves about explorers or North America
According to Dr Wiki, North America extends from Canada all the way to Mexico. So I have the perfect cross-over scarf: fantasy flowers in Pivoines and fantasy gelatine flowers which I learnt to make yesterday, and which is an art originating from Mexico!

This is one of my favourite scarves - Tsitsika which celebrates the Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest Coast. It is subtitled "Les Indiens de la cote Pacifique, Nord-ouest de l'Amerique et du Canada".

And going further south, two scarves which juxtapose diametric views of the US for a film fanatic like me: Dallet's Mustangs which show the wild and rural US that mesmerized me in movies like Shane and The Magnificent Seven, and Graphic Night's Manhattan lights which symbolize all the city-based movies that Hollywood produces.

H has issued many scarves commemorating explorers. My favourite is Expeditions Polaires Francaises which celebrates 150 missions to the Artic and Antarctic undertaken in the 1940s.

Great intro! I don’t have any explorer scarves, but realize I do have a few scarves for this weeks theme after all. Will post later!

Also, my DH still talks about what a great movie Shane was!

Oh. My. God! After allowing a little drool, I had to use my hand to gently put my jaw back in place to shut my mouth. **WHAT** a yummy color bag!! Thank you for reposting this.

 love this BdGeF
Thank you, papertiger.

My good gosh, Croisette7! Your color harmonizing in that first photo is completely lovely, yet with a bit of an edge! I love it!

There is one, but it has been inactive for many years.

If you post your jacquards on it, it might create interest and revive the thread.

If what you are seeking is a list of jacquard designs or info about jacquard, you can try:

So glad you like it, bobkat1991.

I saw a lime Plume at Boston -- while I was carrying Lime K -- and oh, that was TDF. I wonder how many lime/jaune vif bags a person can acquire in a lifetime. :hbeat:
