I think amongst all the madness and mayhem of Grand Prix du Faubourg my favourite characters are the two ladies-that-lunch who are chatting away completely oblivious to everything that is going on behind them.
Yesterday I bought a little silver poesy ring with the phrase "Mon cœur avez" on it. The first recorded instance of a love ring with these words inscribed on it goes back to the fifteenth century and the historical appeal of it along with my recent anniversary made it a no-brainer....and it happens to go very nicely with this scarf too, having a tiny amethyst where the "z" turns into a love heart!IMG_20190406_104709.jpg

This is my favorite part of the scarf also! Can you and I plop some towels on our heads and go have tea together?
Your new ring is divine.

Ha! Always happy to be your twin1 :ghi5:
LIkewise!
Triplets on this cw! It looks beautiful on both of you.
Thanks so much!
You both look fab!!:ps:This would be such a great weekly theme. “How we wear the same scarf” I’m sure there is a better name but it would be fun to see how we style the same scarf:flowers:
Great idea - I love seeing what colors people wear with scarves I also have. I have copied quite a few!
Beautifully tied moma!
Thank you, P.
Scarf ring = magic.

One day soon I’ll have time to go over and catalogue all the fun elements in GPdF. Lovely ring!

SUN SUN SUN! it was the first day in 8 months when it wasn’t raining/freezing/blustery/or me otherwise engaged. I got in 8 months of scarf mail washing. with all the scarves out today, i may take a leaf from the book of Fifi and post a little over the course of the week. I don’t golf but LOVE swing for the homage to Harold Edgerton’s strobe photography. Love the gold in this CW and how perfectly it represents sunlight (pardon the wet wrinkly appearance) and now that it is finally clean it is destined to be a gift for my baby brother.

Also a lovely week old rose purchased outside the metro, that considering the provenance, served as my sun the past few days and kept me company during my washing today.

Update on baby brother’s swing scarf, he immediately wanted to frame it, but I convinced him to luxuriate in the silk instead. He’s now on the prowl for an Edgerton print instead. For reference here is Bobby Jones in 1938

My whimsical scarf arrived this morning: a Faubourg Rainbow detail 45. Vibrant colours are not normally my thing but I thought I'd give it a go and I love it!
Excuse the poor quality pics but I was rushing to take them whilst entertaining a small child

Best suited for your swan-like neck, @G&T! I love how the gavroche ends look like flower petals.
A whimsical-for-me scarf attitude .... two carres! This is Cristeaux Wash Carre paired with Les Legendes de l'Arbre Coloriage. The 2 scarves folded in bias and tied together at one end, then tied around the neck in a loose hacking knot. I'm going to play with this "imitation 140" concept more

Fabulous idea @Langsam! Your photo may be playing tricks on my eyes, but all of a sudden your Les Legendes de l'Arbre Coloriage seems to have a carre wash texture here.
One last craziness for the week. My "Funny Times" Pug t-shirt with the fanciful whimsey of Acte iii (and my continuing crazy attempts to achieve a " @Pautinka Lip". Still searching for that perfect pale pearly pink nude.....

Okay, now I'm being drawn to H horn pendants because of your photos, @bunnycat. Nothing to snag the silk!
Haha Bunnycat we are twins today! View attachment 4395542
LOL A perfect twin to bunny! Love how you display that red hem to full effect, @momasaurus!

Great match to your Grand Prix, @Pautinka! Do you plan to use it as a scarf ring, too?

Not a trick @litchi, I did gently & lovingly handwash this carre and was surprised that it did take on a bit more of a "carre wash"-like finish. I was initially disappointed because this silk had a really special sheen to it. But I'm enjoying the more casual vibe that it has now.

Thank you Julide! That would be a great theme (making a note...)

What a fun t-shirt! And you have *amazing* lips, you don't need to embellish them at all!! I tend to switch just now between my Rose by Terry lip balm and my J-Lo Nudes by L'Oreal. It has a little bit of shine in it but not too much. They do lots of different shades, depending on your skin tone and for being a cheapie, lasts really well.

Thank you Pautinka! (And I am definitely going to check out those nude shades.)

I love you new ring and that is one f my favorite details. The lunching ladies look like they are shoeless, have robes on and lunching at the "spa" (which doesn't sound like a bad place to be lunching at all....)

Best suited for your swan-like neck, @G&T! I love how the gavroche ends look like flower petals.

Yes! No clasps to snag! I love this pendant. Keep hoping to find a darker cool shaded one at some point.

Thank you litchi! Funnily enough, I tried this morning and thought it looked rather nice.View attachment 4396019
