Even the colorway is fun!

It is! This is the wackiest colorway! I love it! Still one of my most worn scarf purchases.

I feel the dark monkeys in the center of Annie Faivre’s Au Fil Du Carre are awesome. Are they wearing bonnets??

Oooooh maaaan! I love this CW! Monkeys everywhere! Superb!

One of my favourite scarves! I should wear it more. I need/want more cotton/silk mix 100 cm scarves!

You should! It is so carefree. I wish they would do some more artist designs in the cotton silk.

This is such a delightful design and I just love your reflections! Best CW!

Me too... it’s great!

What a gorgeous FI with those glorious pinks!

So sorry about that! I’ve been sucked and disappointed at some of the things I’ve seen at Hermès lately

Thank you!

What glorious CWs of these designs!

:giggle: I feel the same!:giggle:

So cute! :girlsigh:

Thank you sweetie! :hugs:
I bought this one to replace the one I ruined - I have promised to NOT ruin this one!

ohmigosh! It's the Cheshire Cat!
(I'm going to study this one!)

Not only the Cats but all the other fairytale characters! Such a great and quirky design!

BOTH Puss ‘n Boots and the Cheshire Cat are there!

Such fun, comical, tiny vignettes everywhere! Reminds me of the game board of Le Toir de Monde and Madison des Carres and so many others...

I love the silly in this scarf, but am most struck by how lovely you look in these greens, Croisette7!

That avocado colored top really does things for the scarf. It sets off that pattern the best I've ever seen.

'Love that cute Confessions!

YAAAAS!!! Perfect!

Cheshire Cat is smiling in the tree....

They definitely do! You can generally count on Pierre Marie for some fun and quirky details.
Thank you all so much fifi, Cookie bunnycat & eagle!

Best to just jump right in to the deep end in the wacky department this week....

Bains d'Hermes get it all in one go. Cute and wacky! I got my favorite parts up front - hot dog man and the mermaid...

Adorable, Hermes Nuttynut!

So pretty MAGJES!

That's a really unusual cw for Fairytales! Is it a golden olive?

It's got Superman on it? :annoyed: Now I really have to get this design!
It's more acid green, xincinsin.

“Look out, look out!
Pink elephants on parade
Here they come
Hippety, hoppety
They’re here and there
Pink Elephants everywhere! “
(Dumbo)

I usually avoid the India designs (long story) but I might have to make an exception because spaceman!

I was looking through my scarf drawer this morning, thinking that I don't have a lot of "cute" things in it. I tend to favor very graphic designs or classic and traditional motifs* and I had a sudden insight into why that is...

As a small 5'1" woman, I've been called "cute" all my life. And as a 12-year professional, it's quite irritating. While I adore cute things, I try to avoid wearing them and I go for the most serious clothes I can muster. I think this also explains my penchant for androgynous dressing (with trousers, button-down shirts, blazers, and lace up oxford shoes) and my lack of jewelry (aside from a minimalist watch).

Still, Hermes does inject whimsy into everything. So most of my scarves contain a good dose of something quirky. Here's one of my favorites with "pink sprinkles" on it. With the weather warming up, I might need to put it away for the season soon.

*side note: Alice Shirley might be an exception. I've suddenly and inexplicably been binging on her designs

Ohhh.....may I ask the name? That is rather stunning!!!!!
As an ex-professional woman, I detest the word 'cute'. It's just so..... well off topic!! (I'm just going to leave it there as I could rant for days - and literally days! Is there a thread for that? lol). Interestingly I've also gone for the 'serious' look at times - though at the other end of the spectrum (5'10 with blond hair, blue-grey eyes) I was always called a 'Princess' :annoyed:

Personally with an androgynous body shape I'm trying to 'feminise' my look and I'm hoping that some *gorgeous* H scarves detract from my 'lack of curves'

I'm adding this to the theme. The design is a very traditional one, Ex Libris, but I think it has a fun factor because it is a nice shiny glam.View attachment 4391687
When I see this, I always* think 'FABULOUS!!'

:giggle: - right? Spaceman!! :giggle:
I do love this cw though - it's such a soft peachy pink.

Whimsy is hidden in this scarf with such a serious and uplifting theme: the carp swimming upstream to leap the gate to transform into dragons. The drawing style is traditional and not comical. I chose a dramatic cw that makes the river look like a churning flow of lava. And then, when you look closely, you find five cartoony dragonflies hovering here and there. And my favourite carp is gazing hungrily at his "appetizer". Makes me wonder if this is the H meta method of reminding us to pause and smell the roses as we climb the ladder of success.
A Contre Courant

The shiny glam aspect definitely gives Ex Libris a bit of whimsey. :)
