2019 has been a heavy Hermes year for me; I bought 30+ Hermes scarves alone! A couple selections to share:

Quadrige Perforé in orange and red. I bought the orange (potiron I think) one at a duty free boutique in Taipei, and someone here pointed out there was a red one... my SA tracked it down. I wear these two a lot!

Guepards MT slim. Bought a red one first and then when I was in London in the fall, I realized I had forgotten a belt for my coat, so I went to pick up an orange one to act in its stead (I didn’t have the red one with me).

And of course my Arabesques changeant mousseline! Love.
30!?!:faint:Many many congrats on finding so many treasures this year!!:flowers:Red and orange look so fabulous on you:flowers:

You carry off those perfores so wonderfully! Like they were designed just for you.

Not a winner in any category except the "I finally remembered" award. When my kids were little, and when I was very little, we loved to ride the merry-go-round. I grew up within a 15 minute walk to an amusement park, so carousels are an important childhood memory for me. One of my memories of Paris is an exquisite carousel on a hill, found when roaming aimlessly about town. My kids took many a ride on the carousel at the hilltop casino's theme park, and I always tell myself to bring an appropriate design for a Scarf on Site shot. I always forget. This time, I finally remembered bare hours before departure. SOTD yesterday and today: Luna Park (at last :P ) (The drippy sunglasses are because just before these shots, I happily went for a horror house experience - Train to Busan with zombies. Unfortunately, not scared: media folk immunity   )

All are beautiful but I love that changeant Arabesques!

Yay for remembering! I haven't seen this in navy - that's gorgeous!

So nice with the matching scarf, xincinsin!

Congrats! Twins on that Les Ailes!
Thank you... and happy to be your twin on this amazing silk

Always so serenely beautiful - you've attained some gorgeous Grails this year!
I think I would soon as well over that marvelous H en Fil!

Congratulations!! They're all beautiful, as are you!
awww... Thank you so very kindly!

Oh, I have a lot of Grails,
I have searched over hills and dales.
When I find one of those beauties,
I race to show all you cuties!

This year, I found several,
And I’ve been ‘mostly‘ careful,
But my wallet - the poor dear -
has gone quite mental. :giggle: :panic: :giggle:

And the Oscarf goes to Ex Libris en Kimonos. I never thought I’d find this - they’re always so outrageously priced - but I had been watching this one for a long time, and when she started to reduce it... I pounced once it came into my range! Woot! I love how different it looks based on how you tie it and which corners are shown - so versatile!

ELeK is so special... What a striking CW this is! And tied so beautifully! And, I’ve been searching far and wide for this CW of Ecosses and it came up on TRR a couple of weeks ago. While I was in the process of making sure that it was indeed your CW, somebody bought it... It went in the blink of an eye... I almost cried

One of my favorites this year is from AW19 - Index Palmarum. Once I saw this in person, there was no doubt it was going home with me.

Acquired a bunch of scarves in 2019, and learned a lot from all of you while doing so:
1) Love, love, love 70’s and added several this year.
2) Love those cute gavroches (this is your fault @Cookiefiend!). Added several of these too.
3) Mistakes, I’ve made a few, but they can be rehomed.

Grail of the Year and Oscarf announced tomorrow!
You wear it so beautifully! We are twins on this magnificent design

Thank you kindly @bunnycat !

I'm honored to be your twin!

Thank you @Meta and @QueenieQ, I can't wait to work this one into my wardrobe - it seems like a spring/summery CW to me so I'll be wearing it more then. Oh - I must also take this opportunity to correct my awful French, the blog I mentioned is actually called "Hymne aux Carres". So many good outfit/scarf ideas there!

Many thanks @Karenska. I put this one on in store and gasped, but for some unknown reason set it aside, for another scarf that I ended up returning. I was fortunate to snag it later on h.com.

I feel like this was the "sleeper" colorway of the bunch. I just love it and recommend to anyone who enjoys silvery blues.
I tried on this CW at the beginning of the season, but was overwhelmed by the choices. I think I finally decided on my first CW on my third trip to H. Never saw this CW again... It is truly amazing

Hi, friends! I have been feeling pretty under the weather with a cold — I haven’t had one in a really long time, and I am not feeling particularly pleased with myself. Ugh. Hope everyone else had a better start of 2020!

I did get first scarf mail of the year though — Les Ballets Russes (in the photo with glasses, also new). Plus a few random assorted photos from the past week.

Ahhhh I want that Les Ailes now! What have you done

However did you do that Fleurs d'Ecosse knot?! Amazing

Perfect for you, and so stylish!

Even my drawers have fallen victim to that gavroches virus...

So pretty! We are cousins on this,

Glorious as always

Actually, you can do it! You just need to tie it tighter!

This has a lot of headscarf potential! I personally really like

yes yes my Ukrainian grandmother thinks she is like the queen of England, too!
Thank you so very much! The Les Ailes ties like a dream! You would rock it... And, so glad you now own a Ballets Russes... Gorgeous on you, and a great knot!

Ex Libris Bandana is such a cutie! Adorable.

Gorgeous Canadian Wild colorway!

Omg LOVE!!

Lovely MP 70! I recently re-homed my one and only MP as I found it much too bright and have yet to find the cw that suits me. I love your new addition!

Congrats on finding these lovelies!! Panoplie Equestre is a beauty!
Thank you so much!

My daughter snapped this pic in October of me and my grandson inspecting the coarse fur on a sleeping black sheep.
I had just acquired my lovely Coupons Indiennes and it really pops in the photo! The design quickly became one of my favorites as it ties like a dream.
What a great pic! And, very true that CI ties like a dream, especially in this amazing CW

2019 was a banner year for scarf acquisitions! I was able to find several of my personal grails this year (but have added some new ones to find in 2020 after seeing all of your lovely photos!)

Runners up for Grail of the Year were:

Tohu Bohu and Ex Libris en Kimonos (not the best color sweater to show these off)
View attachment 4629683 View attachment 4629684

Les Toits de Paris (someday I may find the darker blue with the orange chimneys – at a price not requiring sales of any important organs)
View attachment 4629685

Passage a Moscou (I LOVE Croisette’s CW of this design, but know I can’t pull off the paler colors; then I found the blue).
View attachment 4629686

Winner of Grail of the Year is: La Femme Aux Semelles de Vent. This scarf is such a chameleon – it works with so much in my closet.
View attachment 4629687

And the Oscarf goes to: Minuit au Faubourg 70cm. As mentioned yesterday, I have fallen hard for 70’s ~ the size is good for me and I love the feel of the vintage silk. And I think they work with my more casual outfits. I added this design in 2 other colorways, but this one eluded me for quite a while ~ I think it was worth the wait!

I am speechless! Congrats on all of these amazing Grails! Each one more beautiful than the next... And, I am with you on the 70s as I finally took the plunge with the format this year and it’s been a wonderful surprise

Ohmigoodness - it’s already Friday and I am behind! I’m going to jam in several real quick.

Tous Les Bateaux du Monde (but I adore this border!)

Tomorrow I’ll squeeze in another tie and a very special cutie.
“Best Squick Factor” LOL! Best knot dor this design! And, those colors on ABdM! And, well, you know how I feel about that CW of Bateaux, twin... One of the greatest scarf borders of all time!

Actual SOTD. From 2014. Haven’t worn it in quote awhile and seemed perfect for a trip to the coast for a seafood lunch.

Perfect for the occasion... still on my Grail list

The Red Queen strikes again! These are breathtaking... all! And, you forgot the Tropiques Poinconné... One of my all time favs on you... but, now that I think about it, maybe you didn’t get it this year?

I just love your collages... This scarf is such a joy!

CC you look amazing in this CW of IP!!:ps:
I can’t wait to see your grail of the year!:flowers:

Eeeee!! Can’t wait to see your grail and Oscarf! Index Palmarum is beautiful, I fell for one too.
(So sorry  :giggle: ) about the gavs... but I understand! I think there’s some monkey bizzness going on my little scarf drawer based on the way they’re multiplying!)

Ahhhh I want that Les Ailes now! What have you done

However did you do that Fleurs d'Ecosse knot?! Amazing

Perfect for you, and so stylish!

Even my drawers have fallen victim to that gavroches virus...

ChocolatChaud, Index Palarum is so beautiful, esp in that particular colorway. Looking forward to seeing your GOTY and Oscarf.

Thank you ladies!

Yesterday’s scarf mail was actually my final purchase of 2019, so I closed the year with a bang, since I had been searching far and wide for this CW of Parures de Samourais and miraculously it appeared on a reseller site. So, @Cookiefiend I am your twin at last!
Bought it on 12/21, but for some strange reason they didn’t mail it until 12/27... I was already getting nervous. So, I will give it the Akira Kurosawa award since this may very well be my Last Samourai... Now, I have 6 and may be done. I am not actively looking for any other CW
I am wearing it like this today. Funny thing is that also yesterday some shoes that I had purchased online arrived, and without planning, they are the perfect match. Wearing them today as well

And, my Rarity Award goes to Chantilly, which is a Henry d’Origny design from 1980 that measures 75cm, is not silk twill and has machine stitched hems. The borders are fantastic
