Ask away, Karenska. I am quite uninhibited about mixing silk twill formats and will pair a 90 or a 70 with a gav, or wear two twillies, gavs or 70s.


The snowflake scarf is folded loosely into a strip using the basic bias fold. Les Confessions is simply folded along the diagonal into a triangle. I knot them together at a corner. The knot goes to the back of the neck, and the two scarves loop around each other in front, then the loose ends are knotted behind the neck. Does that make sense?

Delighted to see scarves from the new season are already popping up. Don't forget that in a couple of weeks' time, we are going to show each other our favourite new scarves, and they can be newly issued this year or simply new-to-you!

SOTD is a couple of gavs in silvery grey. I'm not completely satisfied with this pairing: Les Confessions is a shiny silver while the snowflake scarf is matte silver and taupe. I'll have to find them better partners (any excuse to buy another scarf )

I think #2 works really well as the one closest complements your skin tone and the other lays against and complements the denim, yet they don’t compete.

I tried the black one first, but it’s A Lot of Black. The cream still has quite a bit of black - the drawing and the border - I felt that was just the right amount.

I have a lot of scarves that I’m beyond thrilled to have, but it would be fun to think about the ‘why?’

Definitely a great SOTD theme! This was a Grail for me because it was a scarf that was gorgeous yet difficult to find once the season was over. Whenever it surfaced on a reseller site, prices were astronomical, so finding one for me became a mission
