Wonderful review- I could not agree more. When I saw this bag months ago ( I think on the runway thread) I asked my wonderful SA to stalk it for me. We named it the "secret subway flap" bag! She just found it for me in the BF, which what I was waiting for. I truly love it. It has fit into my bag rotation perfectly.
@StaceyLyn - if possible, could you post a picture of the ebene please? When looking at it with my SA, it appeared the ebene came with 2 options for the colors on the hinge. I remember one was also ebene alternating with a creme, but cannot remember the other ( although I could easily be wrong). Thanks

Here are A few pics of my new Ebene Saut: Closed from front, open, and open from back. The cross bar is Noir and Noisette. I really love this bag. Great casual, day bag.

Me too! This is my first ebene piece and when I got it, I thought: "How have you eluded me all these years?" Yes, it's a reliable, calm neutral and I considered going big with a bolder color like red but for an everyday, easy-breezy bag like this, slow and steady ebene wins the race!

Darn - I think I love it too. I glimpsed a blue one last month but gave no second thought. All your photos here are deeply enabling. It is the perfect subway saddle shaped bag.

Thanks so much for posting this- your ebene is stunning! And I love the colors on your cross bar ( although the creme and ebene would be lovely as well).
I had never considered this color and now I'm doing the "Hmmmmm........"

And a head's up to all- The Barenia one comes ( as all of the Saut do I assume) with either gold or palladium HW. The Saut with PHW has the traditional white stitching. However, for the bag with the GHW, the stitching is gold! First time ever as far as I know.
This totally confused me, but my phenomenal SA tracked down the info - this was a creative decision when the bag went into production.
SO- even more choices you need to consider!

oh wow they added more colors! Originally it started only with BF and blue nuit.

Nice! I see apparently there are both PHW and GHW versions for the bleu nuit one too. I wonder how many colorways have both hardware options.

Yes, excepting the Ebene with its 2 cross bar color options ( and possibly one other I can't recall). Note that the Cuivre has the same color stitching ,so that would give anyone an idea what the BF with GHW would look like. Then compare to the BF with PHW and white/natural stitching.

Thank you for posting all the colorways! My noir does not have contrast stitching and is PHW.

@StacyLynn624 your Saut is gorgeous in ebene. I would have had a hard time choosing between ebene and black! I'd love an ebene barenia bag.

All are lovely! I think the only one with the contrast stitching would be be Barenia with PHW. All others, regardless of hardware, would have same color stitching.
Totally awesome bag in all combos!

I tried on the Gris Perle but figured the Deep Blue was less prone to color transfer and better for everyday love. Very pretty bag though!!
