Sauge vs Etoupe? Color comparison?

To me, sauge is like a green version of Gris tourelle. As an Aussie, it reminds me of the colours of eucalyptus leaves (a light grey-green), so I have a sauge Lindy on order. My etoupe Bolide is much darker (to me, etoupe is a mid brown-grey). Both bags are Clemence.
I hope that is helpful.

Edited to add - sauge is a grey-green of similar intensity to Gris Tourelle, not a green version of It!

the top pic, yes.

i tried and loved sauge, i think it is such a unique neutral. but it was a bolide secrete and i want shoulder strap on my bolides. if no strap i'd rather get a birkin.

Ok good! That's what I was hoping for! I bet that bolide was really pretty, but a strap is a must for sure.[emoji22]

I knew what you meant by that Hat Trick! Thank you so much! I live in Northern California and we have eucalyptus trees here too. The smell is heavenly! [emoji177]

I think it's more similar to Gris T with a green undertone

This helps so much! I have a much better sense of the color now and think I'll put it on my wishlist! Yeah!![emoji106]

Spot-on!

Basically light sage green (sauge = sage)

A good pastel/very light neutral but on me more Summer only. It would certainly go with Etoupe but also all the salmony-pinks, mellow yellows, warm greys etc

I might be the minority here but I was also offered a sauge and thought it had way too much 'green' undertones... looked like a murky greenish gray and not my cup of 'tea' :)

The top photo is the most accurate on my screen,
I have an etoupe K in Togo, and I looked at a Sauge Evelyne in clemence. I placed the bags side by side- sorry I don't have a photo, but your top photo is pretty spot-on.

Sauge is quite a bit lighter than Etoupe and definitely green- it is aptly named.
It is a lovely neutral, though not as versatile as etoupe. I would have gone for the Evelyne, except it was a GM and I think lighter colors work better in a PM Evelyne. It's clearly different enough in color and tone to justify having both.
