Nowadays, (popular) non quota bags rarely help at all in making your spending history “pretty” for a potential quota bag offer, and depending on how popular they are / how competitive your store is, can in fact be detrimental to your profile for getting a quota bag (meaning someone who spent as much as you but didn’t get a non quota bag will be preferred over you). Both SF and Palo Alto stores are famously competitive stores.

If you are looking for the more popular (smaller) sizes of these bags I think you need to be very very very lucky or be prepared to start a relationship with an SA. Less popular sizes (or colors) will make the chance more likely.

Does anyone know if something is going on with the Hermes SF store today? I called the store and got a voicemail saying "due to exceptional circumstances, the boutique is closed and shopping specialists are not available at this time".... weird!

Sometimes that gets posted if numerous people are out sick too
