Wow, 4X is quite a bit. Do you have to spend a lot for 1st QB too?
From the spending ratio mentioned by you and hphile, I think SF H boutique is trying to make sure their clients are long-term "true" clients that can really afford their other products (not only the QBs).
1:2 for my first bag. Thankfully, my hubby loves H too. TBH, I think we could spend less and be offered the same bag. But I was hoping to get a mini kelly, so we did some damage. But obviously that didn't happen.

I heard everyone is wanting the mini Kelly nowadays, so it is very difficult to be offered one as a newer client. Even you spent 1:4 for the 2nd QB, there is chance that you will be offered QBs in the future with less spend. I think it will be averaged out (a better spending ratio) in the long run, once they consider you a longtime client.

Hi Hphile, thanks for sharing the latest info for shopping at SF H boutique.
I thought I recall seeing you revealing new QBs in late 2021 & early 2022. Do you also have to spend at least 2:1 for each QB that you reveal? I think you have been shopping at SF H for a few years, correct? Thanks.

Yes - it's been a few years. I spent 5:1 for my second quota bag (not including some covetable non-quota bag offers). I've only received 2 QB from SF. My bag from late 2021 is not from SF.

H is a dangerous slippery slope, so make sure you are mentally prepared! It's much better to wait patiently :)

I shop at Paris at least once or twice a year and also plan to visit Hawaii for the first time in a while. Someone who works in the luxury fashion industry (not for H) told me that H Hawaii serves the Japan market and not really the US market so you can shop both there and your home store without worrying about affecting your relationship. Does anyone else from the SF store do this?

I think the covetable non-quota bag offers sometimes could delay the offer of the QB.
Well, 5:1 ratio is indeed high for a QB. It shows how competitive the SF Bay Area local clients are. Like you said, "In the days of rising Chanel prices and everyone and their mother trying to get a Birkin". It perfectly summarizes the situation at the H world, I think.

This is not true. Hawaii Hermes is part of the US network, not Japan, and purchases made in Hawaii will be visible on your US account to all US stores.

4x is only for the 2nd Qb.

Whoa.... May I ask what bag you got for 4x spend? I can see that making sense for a mini Kelly? By the time you hit 2x, then 3x... I'd imagine you were incredibly frustrated with your SA? How did you confront her at that point? I feel like it's hard for them to say the same "no supply" excuse when you spend at that level.

Take your time and set good expectations. Everyone says this on TPF, but I didn't internalize this as much as I should have.

Without significantly spending over 2:1, it will take at least a year since your last offer for a K28 and even more time/spend for K25 (3:1-5:1 is not unheard of). In the days of rising Chanel prices and everyone and their mother trying to get a Birkin, those who are offered multiple quota bags a year have a strong history with the store, especially in a competitive place like SF that seems to be getting more competitive by the day. Many clients have not been offered bags in 1-2 years, so there is a long backlog which makes getting a second bag within a year of your first especially hard right now.

Obviously everyone's experience is different, and you may be very lucky. At least it feels like stock has improved since mid-late 2021.

I'm not trying to scare you but help you stay off the slippery slope. Take your time and make sure your finances are in order before you fall into the H deep end! So prepare to wait a year with some reasonable spend (:

Thanks for this! I'm keeping my options open and will certainly take my time. My SA did mention that the SF store has a backlog on the K orders. A friend of mine based in NY got her 2nd offer a year after her first and after a 1:1 spend, we were talking about trying Paris if she didn't get the magic call.

:sad:Not mini kelly. It's a bag that I just can't say no to. My SA didn't push me to buy any thing just to be clear.

Hey SFers, do you still wear your BKC to the store if you’re visiting alone? I’m concerned about the safety in union square unfortunately

Yes. I usually get dropped off in a car right in front of the store, and then when I leave I wait for the car to pull up to the store. This is more because if I buy anything it's a hassle otherwise.

Union square is mostly full of tourists during the day, you'll be fine :) I walk around downtown to go shopping with BKC too!

I do but I keep an eye out and I tend to try and keep the hardware facing in if that makes sense. I usually Uber or if I drive, there are spots right on Grant ave certain times of the day if you get lucky. I think of the parking garages in the area, Sutter stockton is easy to get in and out of and well-maintained.
