fwiw in the last 2 months I’ve purchased YSL bags from Neiman, Bergdorf, and Vitkac and they all came in the black YSL box. Maybe I got lucky? They were all the mini camera bag too (just different colors).
Usually mini bags and SLGs come with a YSL box. I purchased a toy loulou, and it came with a box. All my other YSl purchases did not (loulou, envelope, Lou camera), because I didn’t purchase directly from YSL.
What happened to the sale this year? Even for private clients at Farfetch, Saint Laurent has been excluded from the regular sale and private sale.
I’ve read that they were no longer going to have the sale. So, there are a few department stores that still allow discounts on ysl. That may be the only way to get them at reduced prices…
This is almost 5 months and extremely overdue but wanted to say thank you for your post! I had the Kate in GHW on my wishlist for awhile but was waiting for a department store to have a % or $ off sale before purchasing (vs the GC events). But back in February I saw your post and ordered the bag from Saks Off 5th that same day, unsure what kind of condition I’d be receiving (if it was a return or had a defect since it was coming from Off 5th, etc). As luck would have it the bag arrived in immaculate condition IN A YSL BOX which we all know isn’t a given unless you buy from the boutique directly, the chains were wrapped and there was a hardware protector on the front logo. The bag was completely untouched, brand new and not a single flaw or imperfection. To make things even better, the bag was 22% off retail and I got another 10% off on top for buying through the Saks app… with tax I paid $1,500 (vs $1,990 for what it retailed at the time and $2,190 for what it retails today). Maybe it’s a leftover item from a previous collection at an older price? I’ve seen than happen before.
SSENSE tends to have items from previous collections at older prices all the time.
In case anyone is interested, Ssense has a toy loulou in taupe for $1590, which is now $1850 everywhere. This is an amazing deal.

I've ordered from Farfetch with no problems. The bag was shipped directly from SL.
I just found a Farfetch coupon code that works for YSL. I got $60 off the Saint Laurent Mix Matelassé Leather Envelope Clutch. Not sure if $60 is the maximum discount for this coupon code but it is 8%off the price of the bag. The promo code is EYFF. Happy shopping!
I don’t know about Farfetch. I ordered twice from them using the discount promotion codes for first time buyer. First time a YSL Envelope Monogram Quilted Clutch and the last time, a YSL Monogram Matelassé Clutch and received both items defective. Their return process was good, I received my refunds within 3-4 days after the packages was delivered. During my last purchase, I was offered a new discount promotion code which will be sent in a separate email so I can repurchase my item since they don’t offer exchanges. I never receive that email. I emailed their customer services twice to check on the status and got no response and email in return. They just totally ignored me. I don’t think I will buy anything from them anymore. Not worth the headache. Just wanted to share my experiences.
