Also wondering if anyone from the US has ordered a YSL from Selfridges recently and their experience - they have good prices but returns appear to be a nightmare from old reviews if anything is wrong with the order or you change your mind (I haven’t seen the ( Niki) bag I want IRL so not a 100% sure……

I received an order from Selfridges recently. The bag arrived smooshed although the shipping box and the inside YSL box were in perfect condition. I went to Facebook and contacted them. They told me to mail it back for a full refund. I was happy that my refund was processed just a few hours after the bag was delivered to them.

I was looking at the Loewe thread and it looks like there was a code back in March 2022. Seems pretty frequent!

SSENSE now has the general sale available along with the private sale. No YSL yet (they usually add it later on) but some nice pieces from Chloe, Balenciaga, Valentino, Givenchy and more. Some very nice sale prices that were reduced from older prices, so it comes out to some substantial savings. No coupons or cash back for Ssense but prices are good enough that it doesn't matter. They update their sale every Monday and start lowering prices accordingly (of what is left).

I am weary of Ssense now. I have heard their customer service is awful and how people have received fake items. I assume its because of their great return policy, some people will replace authentic items with replicas, and get their money back.
I have also read issues re. shipping and not owning up to un-delivered items.

I don't know if it's gotten better over the years but I have stayed away

All items authentic. The chances of getting a fake from them would be equal to getting one from Saks or Nordstroms.

I have ordered a YSL bag from Matchesfashion and was extremely happy. Recieved from UK in just 3 days beautifully packaged and included in a gorgeous magnetic reusable marble box. Amex had an offer, spend $500 and get $125 back so it was a great deal. So Iam assuming when Amex card sponsors it is reputable.

I've ordered once (a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti sneakers) from SSENSE before and the transaction was smooth. I've also chatted with their customer service on two occasions and I found them quite pleasant.

I am looking forward to their YSL sale this year though. But, now, I am slightly nervous hehehe!

I have been ordering from SSENSE now for years and I love it. They are one of the best sites to shop designer goods. Their prices are always great because they take way longer to update increases and their sales are hands down, some of the best prices I've seen for these items. I've gotten crazy good deals (like 40-60% off retail) and my experience with their customer service has always been great. I have purchased countless designer items from them and have never received a fake. Not even close.
I do understand that people sending back fakes can happen, despite how dishonest it can be. But like @Moxisox said, this can happen to any major designer store, really, and it's definitely not ok.

I’ve also ordered bags from (and returned) Ssense with no problems. Hopefully, this eases your concerns. Of course, things can go wrong with almost any retailer…

I’ve ordered many times from ssense, sometimes returned without any problem and offered price adjustments when there was a problem with the item. It is certainly my go-to place for designer shoes. They have an amazing customer service and I can’t wait to see what YSL bags will be on sale this year.

I also purchased in Matchesfashion in the past with impeccable service.

This week I have purchased a 5 a 7 hobo bag on Vitkac at incredible price after the 10% discount. It is currently in transit. Thank you to everyone that shared this site and the discount!!

This is great. Thank you. I've been shopping Off5th online for many years and have scored some lovely bags at great prices but had never seen these classic newer styles of YSL and at prices we haven't seen in a while. Will definitely consider.

Hi ladies. This might be my first post here after lurking for a long time.
I just bought my first Laurent bag through VITKAC. I bought the small Loulou in black with gold hardware. I’ve been wanting this bag for a long time.

I was able to get it for just over $2500 CDN because I got 10% off for purchasing through the app. It was a bit difficult initially to buy because my credit card company thought it was a fraudulent purchase.

Anyway, I am really hoping I won’t be sent a fake bag. Some reviews on the internet from several years ago said VITKAC sold fake bags, I really hope this is not the case.

Quoting myself here, but my SL Loulou arrived today from Vitkac. It didn’t come in the SL box but a black Vitkac box. The one thing about this bag that I’m questioning is that the rings or grommets at the top of the bag where the chain comes through are not straight (the SL wording). I hope this doesn’t mean it’s a knock-off. I will have to do some research about this. The inside of the dust bag is white - is that normal?
