My bag only has an “S”. I do not see any employee #. HA only had photos of front, back and bottom,
Thank you again,
Beverlee
No, HA did not disclose any
Out of curiosity , did Heritage disclose the "S" in the descripton/condition... Heritage should have
I think many of us purchase H because of its quality , workmanship & style among other descriptions.
Buying an item with a stamped "S" would not discourage me from making a purchase & as long as the
bag is in the condition as described, enjoy it.
As long as the stamp is disclosed, I see no reason why you cannot sell or consign. The dollar amount you
may receive perhaps may be lower but you never know..
It sounds like you have several bags.. Don't let the "S" stamp take away any of the pleasure you would
have from carrying the bag.
No, there was no disclosure whatsoever. They were going to take it back then they said it was in the catalog it was a sale item. My receipt does not reflect any “S” stamp or sale item.
I have tried to consign this bag with no luck.
It was not in Very good to Excellent condition as listed. I had it refinished. I
I feel it was dumped in the sale.

Hi all, I know this thread is a year old but I am hoping to get some helpful suggestions. I brought a birkin so black 35 last week from a reseller. When I received the bag today, I found out it is an empolyee sale bag because of the s+numbers below the "Hermes print" in the front of the bag. Of course, I paid a lot for it as it is a rare birkin, limited edition. The seller didn't disclose this fact in the description. I read this thread and I know that empolyee sale price is much lower than retail price but the re-selling price for this particular Birkin is very high. I think it was priced as if it was not a empolyee sale bag. I am having a conflict feelings. I have been searching for birkin so black for long time, I saw this one and I bought it. For me, it looked in very good condition. I want to keep it but s stamp bothers me. I am afraid that I won't find another one for a long time. What should I do?
Hi I find myself in the same situation so i called Hermes and they confirmed they will service any authentic bag at the SPA . For me thats all i needed

Just read through this whole thread...very interesting. On the flip-side, does anyone actually collect S-stamped bags? I'd imaging having one in your collection could just be a fun thing to have

I have one But its by fluke not design-I brought it preloved and saw in the sellers photos that there was an S stamped on it, I checked with my SA that I could still get it Spa'd when needed and he confirmed it was fine I brought it.
I've heard of people collecting shooting star bags but I dont believe they can be serviced by H if you are not the original owner.

Oh, thank you so much. May I ask where I can find the date stamp? I bought this bag in 2016 from a reputable seller so I am pretty sure this is authentic, but I can’t make out what the date stamp is. TIA
In this case, T, the first letter on the left. It has moved around in recent years.

View attachment 4741457 View attachment 4741458 Hi!
I found this H.D. sign on Sale bags and I am curious what it stands for. Would really appreciate your knowledge!!! Thank you!!!
I know this is an old post, but just came across this thread. I have seen quite a few bags and accessories monogramed with the initials H.D. Those are the initials of Helene Dubrule. She is the current Managing Director of Hermes Distribution France. She has quite the extensive personal collection and a pleasure to talk to at events.

I just found the "S" stamp on the Birkin I just purchased from an Hermes boutique in Las Vegas. I am confounded as to how I could have been sold an employee bag at a boutique. I feel lied to. What should I do?
