RTT and Escapade???

Hi Ladies,

I was at Holt Renfrew today and they had two Violet Bbags with the large hardware. One was the City and the other was a larger bag with no shoulder strap. It had a leather tag and the style number was 186184. What style is this? I love the size and would purchase it with regular hardware if I could find it but I don't know what style it is so that I could start my search.

I just did a search of the forum, and although it's not in the reference library anywhere, a message did come up matching that style number with the Giant RTT. Alas, that style doesn't come in the Regular Hardware. The closest style available in the regular hardware would probably be the Step, although it is much smaller. There is also the Brief, which is larger than the Step overall, but the zippered opening at the top is smaller. The Work is another good option, but the shape is more rectangular. I just noticed you have a male nickname...so if you are a guy, the Step would probably be too girly for you.

if it was the Bloor or Yorkdale location that you saw them at - then it's def. the RTT, bec. Holts only ordered the Violet in the City with GSH, the STEP in RH and the RTT in GSH!

Thank you to all for your replies! I use the name JohnfromBrampton because that is what my then boyfriend and now husband used to say when he called me. We had a long distance romance going. He used to get so nervous that when I would answer the phone he would tell me "Hi - this is John - John from Brampton". It is now a joke between us and it makes me smile every time because it reminds me of the time we spent dating. There is supposed to be an n at the end of Brampton but I hit enter without checking what I wrote and I don't know how to edit it.

Okay - next - I was at the Sherway Gardens Holt's and they actually had three Violets with the GH. A City, a day and (now I know) the RTT and all had GSH. I love the RTT but I am not a fan of Giant hardware. I will probably look for the work or city with RH in the violet color.

Its an Escapade, but not new for 2008. You can get it on styledrops, Asos. Its really huge. The RTT is a size smaller.

It is really huge! After learning that it was an Escapade, I found the photo attached below and literally laughed out loud when I saw how big this bag was! I kept thinking how I could probably fit inside the bag!! Even so, I will definitely still consider one to use as an overnight bag . Perfect size for that!
