Princess Madeleine of Sweden and her husband Chris attended a dinner at Christies Auction house.
The dinner was in celebration designer Valentino ( Valentino: Dinner at the Emperor's table) attended the dinner as well. Valentino designed Madeleine's wedding dress. Andre Leon Talley also attended the dinner.

Muted makeup--many Royals have worn a respectable red lip (Diana, QE, Camilla back in the day, Leti, etc.). Today's similar palette by all 3 seems to be a conscious decision...which, when paired with the lack of pearls, contributes to the haggard look. The luster of pearls can do a lot to brighten the face. At least, Camilla is on the right track. A simple South Sea strand would have looked better

She may have done something to her teeth too, they look whiter: being a smoker after a certain age they loose their whiteness....

I think all 3 women looked lovely and appropriate for the occasion. There's been some problems lately in Britain, and with Harry being deployed...it's nice to see all women put on a 'United Front' and each wearing her signature style (even though Kate and Sophie were similar.)
I actually loved Kate's outfit today. I think a lot of the time she gets it wrong when matching outfits and hats - okay, they match coloue-wise but not from a style perspective. But this time I felt like both the hat and coat had clean lines, sort of architectural look to it. I loved it. I thought the frilled V Nick dress ruined the one slightly, but I did think the outfit was great.

? It's a bit mocking I'd say. Both Catherine and Sophie look good here.
Catherine looks ill or displeased today. She must still be feeling unwell or displeased the Sophie's coat is so similar.

The whole outfit is a win for me! She has a good decade or two on these ladies! It shows that it doesn't matter about the age, it is how you style yourself. Go Camilla!!

Its funny that last year there was a pic of her smiling at this same service and everyone was up in arms that she was smiling at such a somber event. This year she looks somber and now she looks displeased. She can't win.

Kate's 'ageing' is due to sun damage. But despite what they say, a great deal of sun damage can be undone by consistent and slightly obsessive care 
An Australian study said that if you were to be super duper perfect for 7 years, you can in fact turn back the clock on that particular form of ageing. I think that this is it for Kate as far as ageing is concerned, and she will maintain this appearance for a very long time.
