To those that may own both Molly and Rory....if you had to choose between the two which would you pick. And why? I ended up with too many black bags lately so I think I need to decide between these two. TIA!
Rory. It's the perfect work bag because of it's larger size; and if I go shopping I often can opt out of taking another bag. Plus I love the slouch 
Thanks! Yes the black Rory is super slouchy brand new. Just a bit worried it will be too big...but when it slouches it does look as large. BTW...I don't work outside the home so it may be more for carrying some extra kid stuff if I keep.Rory. Molly. I think Rory is too big and too slouchy for my taste. If I fill it, it's too heavy and if it doesn't have much in it, I feel like I have to dig through layers of bag to get to my stuff. I just sold my Rory, but I will never part with my Molly.
I don't have the molly...but the Rory is my love. It is my favorite bag I own. Of course if you fill it up it might be heavy...most bags would be. I carry an average amount of stuff IMO and it's not heavy. I usually switch bags every day except for when I get into the black Rory....it's hard to move out of. She's a great bag!
ITA ! I think black Rory is my most used bag, it goes with practically everything and I love to pet the leather! Lol
Well I have not tried out a Molly, but my Rory is my go-to bag. It fits everything I need, or think I need. True, the bag is heavy when filled...but that is because it contains more. I usually wear it on my shoulder with the strap doubled, and this keeps the profile of the bag against myself a little slimmer. When I want to putz around hands free, I can quickly un-double the strap and wear it cross-body. If you are a person who occasionally likes to carry more, I would recommend the Rory...if you have too much in it, you can take it out, but if you want to put more in you might not have the space with the Molly. However, for comparison's sake, I haven't road-tested a Molly, but I've seen the bag in person, and it looks to be substantially smaller than the Rory. Good luck with your choice!
So you did have both? I just cannot justify keeping both since they look very similar. I like that the Rory looks better with the long strap. I still have to think. Thanks for your input!
Thanks! I don't carry a ton of stuff...but almost feel like it would be better to have extra room. Glad to hear you love her!
Thanks for your input and all the details. The Molly is a lot smaller height wise. Both of the bags I have are really perfect - the Rory slouches a ton more even though she was still packed to the nines when I got her. I would most likely use either of them like a satchel. But the long strap is nice to have if needed and I know with the Rory I can do crossbody.
Molly is the best for going out- to dinner, shopping, etc. It's compact enough that it never gets in the way, but still holds a decent amount.
For the work week, however, it's Rory all the way. I never feel like I'm cramped for space when I carry my Rory! Plus, the leather is slouchy goodness.
